Thread 31, TTC1 | Jam and her dodgers still riding the bonking bus for that elusive BFP

Calling all OPK-ers, Temp-ers, Clomid-ers, Femara-ers, IUI-ers, IVF-ers and anyone else on the TTC #1 Bus.

We've been going a while now so the novelty has well and truly worn off and we're slightly battle scarred and bruised in the cervix area. We don't get a lot of baby dust in these here parts, we just keep it legs spread and fingers crossed (LSFX). We love a baby bomb from a prior bus-mate but if we get told to 'just relax and enjoy it' ONE MORE TIME you will get a punch in the face!

Hop on board, post your stats and prepare to be dazzled by the wealth of TTC knowledge we long-timeys have to share...

Key:
HS - have/had sex
GOS - good old shag
ELH - enthusiastic lavatory happenings
LSFX - legs spread, fingers crossed

Age: 29
Cycle #25

Unexplained fertility, on my last cycle of Clomid, (my clinics last ditch attempt before beginning IVF). Definitely ready to be pregnant now.

Spreading good wishes to everyone on board, also I saw a fox today - it's my good luck animal. I hope this means something for one of you xx

QuietTime · 24/07/2017 19:13

Oh flash so hope you're not out, but I guess it means the AC is working? Still got fx for you xxx

chlo thanks for sharing the diet details, I might start looking into this...

Alexia!!! Sorry you had a tough cycle, but so lovely to hear from you xx

SmittenPears · 24/07/2017 19:26

Thanks for the new thread Jam!

SmittenPears
age: 32

6 or 7 dpo

FF is annoyed with me because my temps were all over the place while I was travelling. Gave me cross hairs and then took them away. Felt like I had been naughty, lol!

BFP or AF due over the weekend. If no, I'll be going for blood work and an ultrasound during my next cycle.

Mmm, wine and rare meat.... what were we talking about?

Jamon · 24/07/2017 20:14

Thank you chlo lots of those we eat lots of already but some of the dailies we might struggle - getting those seeds down him daily especially. Hmmm. Will be stocking up on watercress!! Egg watercress sarnies!

Sorry flash ugh it hurts so much when you see it. I hope things are going in the right direction with Agnus though

Welcome back Katie sorry your DH is being useless too. I find it too much to tolerate, on top of the shitness of infertility. I have really expressed this very strongly today and mine seems to be getting the message. He's apologetic but I said I need more than that now as actions are louder than words.

Alexia good to see you, hope it's done you good thinking about TTC less. That's great you ovulated on your own. Good idea to be proactive with your birthday, I was just saying to DH I'm dreading my birthday in December.

Mouse it does feel like a while since the last BFP - hopefully that means we are due another soon

That's great you've got an appointment booked in kath, we will be starting in October so can hand hold 😊 with skipper too if clomid doesn't do the trick

Hi smitten fx for the weekend for you

AlexiaB · 24/07/2017 21:41

28th July for me please Jam. Not sure I'll make it that far with my lp but we'll see.

harrietm87 · 24/07/2017 21:59

Hello hello. Thanks again for the new thread jam.

I'm harriet, 30.
Officially this is only my 6th cycle trying, but I've had 3 mcs and first joined this thread in autumn 2015 so feels like a very long time!

I'm 5dpo today and expecting my BFN on 31st July (not hopeful at all as don't really trust the meds).

Flashinthepan · 24/07/2017 22:44

Thanks ladies. Think it definitely is AF starting though as red blood everyone I go to the loo now. Sorry for the TMI. Boobs still a bit sore so I think it might not kick off fully until tomorrow. That means the Agnus castus gave me a 13 day LP which is practically unheard of for me! Feeling so stupid for getting so hopeful. But my baby is still out there just not this month.

Kathrino · 24/07/2017 23:10

Oh Flash, I'm so sorry. You have no reason to feel stupid at all, we've all been there Flowers

Jamon · 24/07/2017 23:26

Sorry flash Sad there's nothing wrong with having hope. I was becoming convinced on Friday! We just want this so much.

sk1pper · 25/07/2017 07:29

Flash - As Kath has said, we've all been there. It's good your luteal phase has extended though I know it's not much of a consolation prize. Xx

Chlo22 · 25/07/2017 07:55

AF got me this morning, bloody cow!

florafoxtrot · 25/07/2017 08:14

Sorry Flash and Chlo Flowers

She's seriously kicking me in the face too Sad

MouseLove · 25/07/2017 08:18

Sorry for AF flash and Chloe 😢

I'm CD11 today and I think I'll just sack off OPK today I just don't think I'm ovulating at all. Not even getting a semi strong line, it's barely there or not at all. So just going to keep DTD and what will be will be.

Hey ladies that haven't been around the last few weeks, it's lovely to see you but I'm sorry you're having rubbish cycles. This TTC malarkey is a right pain in the butt.

Oh, my mum delightfully told me that it took her 5 years to conceive me, just dropped it into convo and expected me to be all PHEW, THANKS MUM. I then reminded her that I'm closer to her age when she had finished having children, rather than when she started. It's a sad reality that I could be 5 years older than I was when we first decided to TTC. And I'm still not able to shift any weight despite eating well and going to the gym. Think my body is broken. Absolutely broken.

harrietm87 · 25/07/2017 08:26

Oh flash I was hopeful for you. And sorry flora and chloe too.

mouse I know what you mean, and it's really awful when you don't feel nice in yourself because of weight gain on top of everything else. I've gone up a whole dress size on these bloody steroids - all my clothes are tight and I feel horrible.

Keep persevering with the healthy eating and exercise and it will make a difference. I'm doing a work out video (30 day shred) every morning - it's only 20mins but pretty hard core and is at least making me feel like I'm doing something!

McTufty · 25/07/2017 08:44

Does this thread entertain applications from potential new entrants? I'm only 'cycle' 3 (have very little cycle to speak of just crazy temps and one drop periods) but would love to join you all if I'm not intruding?

struggleisreal · 25/07/2017 09:05

Another new entrant here! I've just read through this and the last thread - you're all hilarious! I need in!

My stats:
Age: 33
TTC no 1
Cycles: currently on number 19
CD19 currently - due on the 2/3 August.

We're looking at IVF starting in November due to multiple issues...possibly blocked tubes, an inactive ovary (not the technical term), slightly low morphology, etc etc etc. Every test we have they seem to find something new. We told a little white lie that we'd started TTC 3 months earlier than we had so we'll be starting IVF (if we can) a little before the 2 year mark. Had our consultant appointment yesterday so it all feels a bit raw and real - although positive things are moving forwards.

Chlo22 · 25/07/2017 09:06

mouse I think I've said before but I really really struggled to lose weight but it's finally shifting. I've been doing low carb, lots of protein and good fat and gym 3-4 times a week (only 30 min sessions) and it's finally finally worked. It's absolute crap when you feel horrible about the way your body looks on top of this stuff as well so I feel for you. Do you eat enough? I'm eating more now and think my body's stopped clinging to the fat.

Flashinthepan · 25/07/2017 09:38

Welcome newcomers!

AF in full swing this morning, but I have no cramps, which is amazing, and apparently Angus castus is supposed to ease pms and menstrual symptoms. And 13 day LP. I'm looking for the positives wherever I can.

The red witch is still a bitch though!

Jamon · 25/07/2017 10:10

Sorry chlo xx
