Anyone want to join in the ups and downs of the 2ww this month?

Im 2/3 dpo, so AF due 25th/26th July. A bit unsure when I ovulated - got positive opk on cd10, temp drop cd11, temp rise cd12 which has continued until today (cd14). Natural cycles thinks I ov'd on cd12 but I think it's more likely to be 11 - what do you think? Anyhow, we only managed to hs once during my fw this month (it was on cd10 very late at night so poss good timing!), so I'm sure our chances this month are slim, but that won't stop me holding out hope.

Quiettiger SMEP is sperm meets egg plan ☺️

Clobear3 · 23/07/2017 12:20

5/6 days until I should test... so long!! :0

Clobear3 · 23/07/2017 12:21

Ps: sic don't worry about the BFN it is way too early!!

Sictransitgloria · 23/07/2017 12:44

I know it is way too early, think I was justifying wine consumption. Had time off and back to work monday booooo!

Quiettiger · 23/07/2017 14:06

Yes, SMEP - is "sperm meets egg plan". or shagging lots and lots
Smile. The 27th is early testing for me. AF is due on 2nd/3rd August.

I don't want to wish my life away, but the sooner the 27th comes the better!

Quiettiger · 23/07/2017 14:08

Depressingly I thought AF was due on 31st July and then recalculated my dates. Sad Fuck it -I'm testing on the 27th anyway!

Picklesandpies · 23/07/2017 17:01

Quiettiger I'm due on 3rd August so shouldn't even do early test until 28th but I will join you in test on 27th. If I can wait that long I'll feel I've done well!

sadd · 23/07/2017 17:39

Hi.

Hope you don't mind me posting here.

For various (medical) reasons I can't TTC at the moment. If we ever can it won't be conventionally.

I'm really struggling at the moment as it seems everyone I know is pregnant, I've wanted a child for as long as I can remember and I feel totally lost.

katiegd · 23/07/2017 18:59

Hi all,

Happybus - glad you're also thinking positively. AF due here on Tuesday or Wednesday so only a few days now. I don't feel any different to usual so am not getting hopes up.

Meadow - sorry you're out for this month. Enjoy your Winethough!

Hi and good luck to all the newbies!

Sadd - sorry to hear you're struggling. When you say you won't be able to conceive conventionally do you mean that you will need to have fertility treatments?

So... last time I was pregnant I felt faint loads. Today ive had a couple of woozy moments! :0 bet I'm just imagining things now!! I don't even know if I could have any symptoms this early (5DPO)! It's going to be a long week!! :0

Katie: have you tested yet or are you just waiting for AF to arrive? Tuesday will be here before you know it.

Sad: I think when you want a baby it's the weirdest thing that everyone seems to be pregnant. I even feel like that at the moment: keep seeing people with bumps when out and about. If it's a specific issue I betthere will be a support group that you can find online, it's the best test out even ever xx

Clobear3 · 23/07/2017 19:48

That was meant to say best resource ever. X

katiegd · 23/07/2017 20:15

Clobear - so hard not to symptom spot even though you know it's early!

I have done a few internet cheapies and not even a hint of a line there. I know that doesn't necessarily mean anything but hard not to conclude that it's not looking likely for me this month.

OP posts:
Clobear3 · 23/07/2017 20:27

I've bought some cheapies and I will prob be the same, until AF arrives you just don't know! I sometimes think it's worth doing the early tests with a clear blue just to feel more certain, they do become 99 per cent a couple of days before I think? Xxx

rachelandthenoodle · 23/07/2017 21:59

Hi! Can I join too please?

I'm not sure where I am in my cycle. FF and Ovia disagree. To be fair, I don't blame them...I had a mc in March and then bled for AGES. Finally got rid of the last of it at the end of last month, so started trying to track my cycles again this month. Hopeless. Temping is up and down and all over the place. I got a +ve OPK on 11th of last month (whilst bleeding), and then a +ve again on Friday (so no where near anything that might have corresponded with last month). Frustrating and confusing but in an effort to try to hit the needle in this haystack, we are basically DTD every day. 😂

So maybe I'm on my 2ww; maybe I'm not. 🤷‍♀️ It's been a really really long wait, regardless. So keen to hear some good news stories.... give me some hope, people!

sadd · 23/07/2017 22:09

It's a bit complicated, but due to some medical issues, we can't dtd- investigating alternatives at the moment but feels like we are the only people in the world this has happened to Sad

Clobear3 · 23/07/2017 22:53

Hi Rachel: I'm so sorry for your loss. We lost a baby before 12 wks in August 2015, I didn't bleed a lot but i got pregnant again in November. I do think your body has to sort itself out and get back to itself, but thats hopefully some hope! Oh and I seem to recall the inbetween months weren't so regular!

There is some suggestion online that every other day is good for sperm! I feel the opposite though as we only did it twice in the fertile window so I'm scared we prob missed it xxx

rachelandthenoodle · 24/07/2017 07:34

Thanks @Clobear3; feeling much more positive now even if it's not our month. I just can't wait for a normal AF to arrive so I can start tracking from something concrete.

@sadd really sorry you're having a rough time. Hope things get better soon.

x

Clobear3 · 24/07/2017 08:49

@sadd I know some lesbian couples who didn't have IVF but instead used a way of getting the sperm in. I'm sure that there is a medical way, there's so so much that can be done these days, please don't give up hope.

@rachel, if I'm honest I think the healing process for me started when I got pregnant again so I will be super super hoping for you in the next few months, it will happen, apparently our bodies are super fertile after a loss oncethey have recovered xxx

Clobear3 · 24/07/2017 08:50

Ps felt dizzy again this morning. Imagining some feelings in my tummy.

I'm totally going to be wishing this week away!!... xxx

LivLemler · 24/07/2017 15:06

Tentatively joining in. First month and pretty sure I was away with work when I ov'ed, but fingers crossed. AF due 3 Aug so think I'll test on 1 Aug and then wait and see what happens.

@sadd That sucks. We had a similar issue, now resolved thankfully. But I understand your frustration. Flowers If you use advanced search on here, there are posts from some who've, erm, used the turkey baster method at home if that would be an option. If not, I really hope you get a resolution soon.

sadd · 24/07/2017 18:06

Thank you everyone for being so kind. FlowersFlowers

sadd · 24/07/2017 18:06

Ps so pleased your issue was resolved x

LivLemler · 24/07/2017 18:32

I don't really want to discuss our issue on the boards (I will say it was on my side), but if you want to chat via PM, give me a shout any time. It's incredibly frustrating to want to start TTC but not be able to, and not know what challenges you might face when you do. It really got me down at times.

rachelandthenoodle · 24/07/2017 19:11

@LivLemler @sadd I don't want to pry into your issues, but I had almost eight weeks of solid bleeding in May & June & early part of this month and the affect it had on my sanity, my OH's sanity, our emotions, our closeness and (of course) our (in)ability to start trying to conceive was just awful. I'm so glad we've come out the other side of that horrible stage. I'm sorry that either of you had to go through this drama. 😕

Clobear3 · 25/07/2017 07:40

Katie: been thinking of you, has AF arrived?

Can't believe it's only Tuesday, feel like it's a long wait for Saturday am!

Does anyone else start calculating due dates in their mind and when 12 weeks would be to tell people etc? I'm far too giddy and bound to be super disappointed xx
