2ww starts now!

Anyone want to join in the ups and downs of the 2ww this month?

Im 2/3 dpo, so AF due 25th/26th July. A bit unsure when I ovulated - got positive opk on cd10, temp drop cd11, temp rise cd12 which has continued until today (cd14). Natural cycles thinks I ov'd on cd12 but I think it's more likely to be 11 - what do you think? Anyhow, we only managed to hs once during my fw this month (it was on cd10 very late at night so poss good timing!), so I'm sure our chances this month are slim, but that won't stop me holding out hope.

AF arrived 3 days late. Gutted. Off to meet my new team at work, gonna have to be chipper despite feeling a little bit sad. Such is life hey!

Sorry to all of those with AF or BFN it's such a disappointment, isn't it? However much you tell yourself that you're being philosophical, it's still a blow

As for me, I'm very confused because my AF appears to have arrived four days early, but (sorry TMI) the blood is very very dark brown, almost black and has been for two days now plus it's not much at all, nothing like my normal Niagara Falls! Any thoughts on what might be going on?

I don't know what would cause your af to be like that. I know mine can be very dark and almost black (but when it's on tissue it's bright red if that makes sense) but that tends to be when it's very heavy and I'm passing clots. Hope it settles down soon. Xx

Thanks pickles. I have actually made an appointment at the docs tomorrow to discuss it, as it's so unusual. I am paranoid about my cycle now after 2 MCs this year.

Polly: usually dark means old, so sounds like it's your body clearing itself properly out (I had a mc in Aug and then I recall having some clot type period/dark in the months thereafter) xxx hope it goes ok at the docs

Pretty new to TTCing.

I've been charting my BBT and now on 9dpo and trying with all my might to hold off testing till tomorrow as AF is due then.

I ovulated cd16... do you think my LP is too short to be in with a chance of BFP?

Anyone who can interpret my temps?

Pickles: I went to uni in Nottingham but we live up North! My husband is from Leicester too.

Scan is 22nd! I've just done another digital test as wanted to see if the weeks have gone up and they have, so that's a good sign! I'm sooooo tired but not as sick as I was with my boys so far!! Xxxx

Clobear That's great about the digital test. How exciting. Not too long until the scan - although I'm sure it must feel like it! Glad you aren't feeling too yucky.

I come from a market town in Leicestershire and used to shop at The Highcross all the time. We now live down south and I miss it a lot! My first bf went to Notts Uni so I spent a lot of time there for a few years.

Blood test at the doctors confirmed I'm not pg :( and in fact the bleeding has increased to the level of normal AF. Good luck to everyone else :)

Sorry to hear that Polly. At least you know now. Did they suggest why af looked different?

No :( just lots of stuff about how hormones can cause lots of weird effects, not to worry etc. I'm OK about it. Had a little cry earlier because tbh I had got my hopes up that it was implantation bleeding, but am OK now. Thanks pickles

Hi ladies. Sorry, @PollyCazaletWannabe, for your news. But at least you have an answer.

I guess I'm in a similar boat. I kept getting BFNs on my cheapie strips, so on Wednesday I tried a CB and then today I tried another and both are BFNs. I'm now 8 days late. At 8 days I would HAVE to be turning something positive, so I have now accepted that I'm not pregnant. But I would blooming well like to know where AF is. Feeling awful; crampy, hormonal and exhausted. 😕

How annoying that your af isn't here. I know it's a bit but I often find that bd brings mine on if it's late.

Mine is in full flow and it has been suggested by others we are holidaying with that we go swimming tomorrow. AND we are in a country that requires you to shower naked with other people before getting in the swimming pool. Marvellous!

Aw pickles; thanks for thinking of me. I took some advice and went for a massage on Friday and then had a warm bath with heaps of bubbles and big fat glass of wine last night...and today started getting really bad cramps and AF turned up about two hours ago! Yay. I mean, obviously I'd rather have been pregnant, but given that wasn't happening, this is definitely the best possible outcome! I'm so relieved; actually think my mood has improved already.

It seems to be a very strange AF already, but I guess there's no such thing as 'normal' for me at the moment.

Now just need this to run its course and we can start TTC again...hopefully. x

Rachel - that's good that it turned up after your home remedies! Definitely better than the alternative of no af and not able to TTC.
