Anyone want to join in the ups and downs of the 2ww this month?

Im 2/3 dpo, so AF due 25th/26th July. A bit unsure when I ovulated - got positive opk on cd10, temp drop cd11, temp rise cd12 which has continued until today (cd14). Natural cycles thinks I ov'd on cd12 but I think it's more likely to be 11 - what do you think? Anyhow, we only managed to hs once during my fw this month (it was on cd10 very late at night so poss good timing!), so I'm sure our chances this month are slim, but that won't stop me holding out hope.

Been away and had a crazy week at work so just catching up!

So happy to hear there have been some bfp's on this thread 😁

I had a bfn on Thursday and haven't tested since. Due AF tomorrow. I think I'm going to wait for AF, poas got out of hand and was doing it because I had cheapies in the bathroom cupboard and I just ended up feeling a bit deranged in all honesty.

Good luck to everyone waiting for their bfp, agree it'd be nice to carry on this thread for support 💪

MissyEm · 30/07/2017 17:53

Ladies, I am sitting on my hands not to POAS. Around 10DPO today AF due on Fri. To test or to wait?

rumer35 · 30/07/2017 17:55

Still spotting, not enough to put any sort of sanitary product to the test. Period was due on latest by today but bfn this morning (frer). Very frustrating as I have no idea what's the first day of my cycle now. Has anyone used ovulation tests before- are they any good?

rachelandthenoodle · 30/07/2017 21:12

@MissyEm I'd say wait as long as you can, or you run the risk of just getting excited, then disappointed and then ending up poas all the time like some sort of deranged woman!! If you can stand to wait another day or two, I would.

@rumer35 I think several of us have tried opks with varying degrees of success. For my own experience, I have found the cheaply ones very tricky...unlike with pregnancy tests, a faint line isn't meant to be taken as anything, but if that's the case I have never had a positive opk when using the cheap tests. With the 'proper' tests, I've had two smilies in the past, one when I was still showing a lot of pregnancy hormones because I was post mc but not back to 'normal' yet, and one in the middle of June, whilst I was bleeding...so maybe I ovulated then (it's possible, because my bleeding wasn't menstrual but an ongoing response to my March miscarriage), but maybe it was just an anomaly. I find them so hard to understand. But that's just my experience. Lots of other women have had a lot of success with them.

If AF comes in the next couple of days, which I'd expect, then I'll be using this tests again next month...as even though they're confusing, I still would rather try to work out what's going on!

Got a BFN :( however AF is not due until Saturday so I'm going to try again in a few days. Good luck to everyone else!

PollyCazaletWannabe · 31/07/2017 05:52

Also forgot to say that I used a clearblue digital as it's hard or impossible to get frer tests here (I live in China) so possibly it wouldn't have been sensitive enough anyway!

Sophiathesecond19 · 31/07/2017 06:09

BFN for me this morning, cd 34. Used a first response. If I got my ovulation right I'm on 10dpo. Just waiting for Af now.. This is hard!

rachelandthenoodle · 31/07/2017 07:22

@PollyC - I would definitely try again in a couple of days...it's not over til it's over! 😬

@Sophia - so a really late ovulation? Me too, I think. I'm also not due AF for another few days, but after this weekend's BFNs I'm kind of feeling it's pointless and that this is not our month. But give it a couple of days and see how you go...there's hope yet! x

PollyCazaletWannabe · 31/07/2017 07:54

Argh! Now having spotting and cramps but there's no way AF is due yet - I'm only on CD27! I wish I had tracked my ovulation this month so I know what's going on :(

Sophiathesecond19 · 31/07/2017 08:11

rachelandthenoodle i tried tracking my ovulation, i think it was cd23 or there abouts, i might just be too early testing.. i'm still hopeful until AF arrives. will try to hold out for a couple of days now. if i can make it to Friday i'll be impressed! FX for you

Sictransitgloria · 31/07/2017 17:19

Bfn for me today. Can feel AF on it's way :(

Onwards and upwards.

rachelandthenoodle · 31/07/2017 17:28

Oh, @Sictransitgloria; I'm really sorry. I've been feeling much the same. But maybe that's a good thing, so long as she does blooming well hurry up and show! It's the waiting that's annoying. x

Sictransitgloria · 31/07/2017 20:21

Never mind. I didn't expect it this time round but obviously was secretly hoping! Hopefully we get our bfps soon :)

Sophiathesecond19 · 01/08/2017 07:55

Getting abit fed up. I'm on cd 35, 11dpo. BFN, though I'm hoping 11days is just too early for me to test.
I've got cramps, so i'm guessing AF is imminent.

Hope you're all having a better day than me!

Picklesandpies · 01/08/2017 08:12

Hi all,

On holiday now so just catching up on thread. Sorry for those with BFNs too. I haven't bothered testing again as AF due on Thursday and had BFN on Sunday. I'm just waiting for it to arrive now so we can get on with next months activities! Hope you're all not feeling too disappointed. How are you Rachel?

X

rachelandthenoodle · 01/08/2017 11:17

Morning, ladies. Confused and frustrated! Still no bfp but also still no AF.
Cramps, queasiness and irritability galore.
Don't know what DPO I am on for sure, but reckon maybe ovulation was about 21/22 July... no idea when my last actual AF was because I was still having mc bleeding at the time, but even if we go with the last ever day of that bleeding (5 July), on my old 28 day cycles (which have been pretty consistent for nearly twenty years), I should be hitting AF imminently. 🤷‍♀️
Ovia and FF have both stopped guessing at what's going on. 😝

Sorry for the long whinging post!!

Sophiathesecond19 · 01/08/2017 11:36

rachelandthenoodle the same here! i ovulated 20/21st ish, so i'm around 11dpo. BFN this morning.currently on cd35.
i'm unsure when AF is due as i've never tracked my cycle before and have just come off the pill 5weeks ago.
it's so frustrating i agree! i have cramps, and an increased appetite. but these could be AF signs.. though i wish they are pregnancy signs!

Sictransitgloria · 01/08/2017 16:10

Rachel and Sophia - I ov'd same kinda days I think from symptoms, didn't do opk. AF is 2 days late. Have left sided pelvic pain the last few days, nothing too bad tho. Still bfn yest with a sainsburys pt but feel as though it wasn't very reliable as the 1st one I did was void and wasn't fmu.

If AF isn't here in the next 2 days I think I will do a frer. Gawd, wish there were better tests than poas!

rachelandthenoodle · 01/08/2017 18:10

@Sictransitgloria @Sophiathesecond19 well let's see how we get on over the next couple of days. I feel exhausted, still cramping and now imagining breast pain... there is absolutely no good reason for me to be convinced it was going to work out this month, and yet I'd be lying if I said I wasn't still holding out some hope. Of course I've told my OH that I am 99% AF is on her way...but my head's not quite there yet. 😩

@Sophiathesecond19, as for coming off the pill: we conceived at Christmas which was the first month I was off the pill in years, so it can be done! (Admittedly ours didn't work out, but I don't believe that had anything whatsoever to do with it being right after stopping the pill... actually, as it happens my DS, who's 8, was conceived right through the pill...and he's perfectly fine!) so fingers crossed it goes much the same for you!

rachelandthenoodle · 01/08/2017 18:11

Wow; ha ha ha...no idea why that was all in bold! Not intentional 😂

Picklesandpies · 02/08/2017 07:45

Well that's me out. Af arrived last night, a day early. Feel almost glad as now I know and can move onto next month. Just a shame I'm on for the whole of my holiday.

Onwards and upwards! Good luck to those still to test Smile

Clobear3 · 02/08/2017 08:41

Sorry you are out pickles, though it happened to me last month and it actually meant I could relax on holiday and enjoy lots of wine/cocktails/Gin! Hope you have an amazing holiday and then it's all go for next month xxx

Picklesandpies · 02/08/2017 08:51

Ahh thank you Clobear Smile Feel ok about it as only first proper month TTC. How are you getting on?? x

Clobear3 · 02/08/2017 09:13

Sooooo tired. Went to see Russell brand last night and being up til 1130 has made me a bit zombie!

I've had the worst back pain which I didn't have last time early on, I remember having the same type of feeling (with it going down my leg) later on but not early. Hoping it is just because I drove back from family in Nottingham at the weekend. And I guess every preg is different!

I'm still checking the toilet roll for blood every time I pee because of the previous mc. We've booked the early scan at 7 weeks so fingers crossed we will get there and see a little heart beat and then I'll feel much better xxx

Picklesandpies · 02/08/2017 09:35

Well that all sounds positive - in the sense that you have symptoms with tiredness etc Poor you with the back ache. I can't remember what I felt like in early pregnancy last time (first time was just 24/7 morning sickness and didn't leave house for much of 17 weeks Confused...)

Hope Russel Brand was good. We have been to see him before - really funny. 11.30 must have felt like an all nighter though! I used to live in Nottingham funnily enough.

When is your scan? Hope the time goes quickly for you. Yet more waiting! I hope it all goes well for you when you go. It will be good to get some reassurance and be able to relax a bit.

Must dash...have to get up. Being holiday lazy!
