August Bus -Jump aboard!

Hi everyone, pretty certain I am out so thought I'd start the next bus for any of us who have had af arrive or like me got a bfn using a frer at 13dpo and certain af is imminenant.

Stats:

Ttc 2
Cycle 6
Bfp due 4th august

Can I jump on please? Followed the July bus but never bought a ticket

CD 1

Technically still on the July bus but I know for almost certain that AF is coming today, probably before lunchtime bang on time as usual! I have been taking Vit C everyday for a month now in an effort to lengthen my luteal phase which is usually on 11 days but it doesn't seem to have worked

Hey ladies
I'm just finishing AF so the August bus is the one for me! This is my second month trying, first full month, so all advice welcome! Basically planning to start dtd today and continue every other day until ovulation and then go full tilt. My new workout plan haha! OH is on board so let's hope we can keep the momentum!

Oh yes jane forgot to put my age :) I am 31! Had dc1 at 23.... I'm starting to think my egg and his sperm are not liking each other. Had dc1 with different person. Welcome everyone may this thread bring us lots of bfps! I'm feeling disheartened and will either go nuts with the ttc this month or try the relaxed approach.... haha

I'm almost certain AF is due within the next few days and will be eagerly TTC no.1 in August. Sadly, I had an early MC in early June so was on a TTc break for July.

However, excited and energised to get back on the bus.

My stats are:

Age: 27
Cycle: 7 (August)
MC: 1
TTC: no.1

Cyst removed from ovary so was advised to stop ttc April-June

Hoping July will give me a cycle- feel like AF immenent. So will test mid-august. So must not poas for a whole month...... I have done 4 in my first month trying 🙈🙈

Yep, AF arrived right on time. Slight silver lining is that I can now have an antihistamine after hay fever and allergies have been ruining me for the last 3 weeks. Yey!

very early in my journey, only just getting to know my cycle - how can i have gotten to 27 and not know my cycle length!?
i am on CD9 today, not yet ovulated. i'm very optimistic about conception!

Haha @passmethewine gotta take little wins where you find them! I'm trying to train my body to stop giving me hay-fever through sheer will power. It's failing terribly

Hey @sophia.. Optimism is the way forward! I has no idea about any of this never mind cycle length until now. I thought the second I had unprotected sex I'd be pregnant, but apparently that's not true! Feel like all those times of panicking I might be accidentally pregnant were for nothing now I know more!!!

@shanners123 its funny isnt it, when you're young you're told to never have unprotected sex because you'll become pregnant immediatley..oh how different the truth is!

Hahah yes years of pill taking the odd POAS because missed a couple of pills and took the risk.

Here I am delibertly not taking them properly for three weeks before deciding not take them ar all and nothing! DTD lots and nothing!

I am long-time stalker of these posts & would love to jump on the July Bus! I am very new to this whole TTC thing - we only started trying last month. I am due to end AF today so will be jumping on board the bus to try again & keep learning more about my body/cycle etc

@lovepinacolada were on the same cycle and both finishing AF.. We can do this!

So now we all know that having unprotected sex doesnt automatically make you pregnant.. What are you gals doing to help make it stick? This month I'm following the SMEP and am going for multiple pillows under bum immediately after dtd. And then sitting (lying?) tight with legs in the air for as long as I can!

@Shanners123 How funny! Wishing you all the luck! I felt really upset when I didn't get a BFP this first time (which I know is silly) but feeling positive again now! I have quite a long cycle so my next period isn't due til 5th August - so you will be first! 😍

I have been taking folic acid, taking general multi-vits & just trying to be as healthy as I can!

Hi @DT2016! 😊 I did the same thing with my first month trying (last month) so strange how your body & mind can play tricks on you isn't it!

@shanners123 legs in the air against a wall straight after makes sex seem so mechanical and not fun! but needs must.

I'm taking the sex every other day approach, surely then I'm bound to not miss my ovulation. I've also bought the clear blue ovulation test, though I'm not totally relying on that.

@firsttime sorry about the early MC. Hope this cycle is the start of something good

@shanners123 Ive done a shoulder stand post sex a couple of times (so unattractive for those of us with more than an ounce of fat!)

I take pregnacare conception and I use Clearblue digital OPKs (not the super pricey dual hormone but the next ones down). And I track my cycle on an app.

Only on CD2 so a long way to go yet!

@lovepinacolada I know what you mean about not getting a Bfp first time! Like @dt2016 i was daring to think I was spotting early signs but sure it was all in my head. Think I started too late in the month to cover my full fertility window so no wonder AF arrived.

@sophia Yup I got those ovulation tests too. Mine are the ones that give you a smiley face or nothing. So fingers crossed they help with SMEP!
