Anyone ttc baby #2 in July?

Hi all,
Anyone ttc number 2?!

I know lots of you are so I thought I'd see if anyone in same boat wants to chat on a new thread?!

I chat to some lovely ladies on the monthly ttc buses....I know some are ttc their first baby (some with real difficulties like MC, or just for a long time) and I feel so bad to be worrying about conceiving #2 when I already have a lovely little one tucked up in his bed upstairs, when I'm sure they'd love to be in that position. (Not that they'd ever say anything or show any resentment, as they're all lovely and just as supportive whether people are trying for 1st or 5th!!!)

It is a bit different though, different emotions... grateful for what you have but longing to be a mummy again... and different challenges (trying to fit in dtd when you have a little person sabotaging your efforts and popping up to demand a drink/teddy/phantom tummy ache, I swear he has a radar for it!)

So I just wondered if anyone wanted to chat who's in same boat ttc #2, as it can also be hard when you desperately want to have another baby, to give your others a sibling, and it's seemingly not happening...

I'm ttc#2 (ds just turned 3)
Age 36
Cycle 5 (af just ending). Feeling disappointed but hopeful ...

Oh no Lopey! That sucks! Good luck to you. I'm trying not to but will probably test tomorrow at 9?dpo. It's a bit early still though I guess. I have sore boobs but I know that can be a sign of af as well.

Any luck Hazel? I'm 6 dpo today so still a while off from testing...

I did a test today but it was bfn. Fingers crossed it's too early. Will try and test on Tuesday if af stays away. Trying not to hope too much...
What day will you test?

Going to test 6 days before my missed period with the early response would rather know soon as possible sounds silly but I just so bad want to be pg and 9 dpo is still so early test in a couple more days implantation doesn't normally happen till about 9 dpo fingers crossed for you x

Keeping my fingers crossed for you Hazel (I was BFN at 10dpo but BFP the following evening), Lopey and kittykat! I hope it's your month.

Sorry for the bfn Hazel - like you say could well be too early though. I will test on Fri (11 dpo) as after that I'm going camping for a few days so won't have the chance to test! So I hope 11 dpo is ok to put my mind at rest before I go away.

Thanks guys! That's very encouraging Nell! I'm 10dpo today so I guess I'll wait another day or so. We are living abroad for a while so I can't get any FRER here... They don't do any early tests and my stash from UK has run out so I'll just have to wait I guess! Good luck for Friday Lopey, really hope it's good news for you x

Temp rose this morning which got me very excited... But still a bfn. Or possibly the squintiest of squinters but I'm not sure if I'm imagining it because it's so faint. Might try another test tonight. Fingers and toes crossed... AF due on Thursday otherwise. Man I'd do anything for a FRER right now!!

Ok, the monthly madness has started...!

I have a really bad cough and last night was googling "cough as a sign of early pregnancy"! Argghhhh.

Is anyone else in the tww and almost ready to test or is it just me in this craziness?!!

If anything this month I have had LESS symptoms: less cramps, twinges, pulling pains in the abdomen that always get my hopes up....but this in itself could be a good sign, right?

Really trying not to get too excited as I will be setting myself up for a fall as usual. It's going to be extra horrible this month as I'll be on holiday camping when af comes and I'll find it so difficult to mask my sadness.....🙁

Different must be good!! I've got everything crossed for you..
The only symptom I had was sore boobs but I always get that anyway.
Can you take some spare tests on holiday just in case it's too early?

Are you temping? That was my first big clue before I got a bfp... My temp rose instead of fell at dpo11.

Hi Hazel, thanks for the encouragement! No, I'm not temping because my signs of ovulation are so strong and I know them so well now that I don't feel the need....timing is not my problem, it's something else (age, egg quality, failure to implant, not enough sperm....?). I did temp the first time round and it was useful at undoubtedly confirming ovulation I suppose, so I might start again next month. Guess it's more hard evidence to arm myself with if I end up at the doctors being investigated for infertility....

Any news Lopey? Anyone else still to test?

No good news from me I'm afraid :-(

Tested Friday, 11 dpo: bfn. Had some spotting but thought I was still in for a chance until af showed up on Sat, 1 day early. Gutted. Don't know what's going wrong: perfect timing; I definitely ovulate....??

I know there's only a 10% chance each cycle even with everything perfectly in place, so it's statistically more than likely not to happen each month....but it still doesn't make it any easier to stomach. Oh well. Onto cycle 6; will move over to the other thread....!

That book that someone on here recommended really helped me, 'the impatient woman's guide to getting pregnant'. It also makes you feel way better about the statistics and the age issue. Fingers and toes crossed for you next month. I know how crushing it is :'-(
