Calling all OPK-ers, Temp-ers, Clomid-ers, Femara-ers, IUI-ers, IVF-ers and anyone else on the TTC #1 Bus.

We've been going a while now so the novelty has worn off and we're slightly battle scarred and bruised in the cervix area. We don't get a lot of baby dust in these here parts, we just keep it legs spread and fingers crossed (LSFX). We love a baby bomb from a prior bus-mate but if we get told to 'just relax and enjoy it' ONE MORE TIME you will get a punch in the face!

I just spoke to our clinic and raised my concerns about my luteal phase, and they do offer support in the form of the progesterone suppositories (sp) Hmm which I can have next time which makes me feel relieved!

Apparently it's not exactly fun and games taking them but I'll give it a go!

Flash hit the nail on the head skipper. Don't discount the effect of those horrible hormones either - just when you feel shit anyway, they come along and kick you when you're down. I felt like I was the biggest let down ever a couple of days ago, but things are feeling a bit brighter now.

Skipper - I've read some accounts of people having nausea/bloating/cramps/dizziness/headaches. It's all the pregnancy/PMS symptoms again which makes sense since it's progesterone.

I think it affects some people a lot and others not at all so hopefully I'll be fine. The Gonal F doesn't affect me at all.

I hope I'm not using effect/affect wrong, sorry if I am!

Ahh of course, do you know if you are you able to take painkillers with them if necessary?

Can't see anything from a google Skipper apart from people saying they are taking them at the same time as baby aspirin. I will ask them when I go as I take painkillers sometimes. I'm sure it's okay.

So awkward moment in dentist when he did offer me check up xrays and I sheepishly pointed to his sign and asked if they could wait. I did say I didn't know but that didn't stop the dental nurse offering me her best wishes on the way out...I'll look a right plonker if turn up still not upduffed in 6 months time (when there's a 50% chance of being in tww and therefore having to give the same answer! )

Hormonal giraffe made me properly laugh. Thank you sk1pper. Also, just echoing what Flash said. Take care of yourself. I hope you've got something nice planned for tonight - even if it's just your favourite dinner and some crappy TV.

We've just delivered a big work thing that's taken up every waking moment (finished gone midnight every night for the last week - including Sat and Sun). I'm so exhausted and just want to sleep for days now but it's been a very good distraction in the TWW!

Hope this isn't tmi but I noticed last night and today a thick white glob of discharge! Is this ewcm? I've never really taken much notice of it before but never had it like that. Haven't had af yet since mc so don't know if it's because of all extra hormones or something? (Sorry I know it sounds gross!)

Feeling bit crappy today unexpectedly. Sounds bad but my best friend is on holiday with her baby and said theyre having an amazing time and I just feel sad because we've always talked since we were little girls about being on the beach drinking wine with our babies and I wish I could do that. Sounds silly but really got me today.

Thanks for the anniversary wishes girls. I forgot to add that poor DH has yet another SA today - not great timing! Perhaps our anniversary will add a bit of luck.

skipper the little bit of hope dying :( god I can relate to this. I'm glad in a sense that I don't get my hopes up anymore as the disappointment just floored me. Having no hope dodges the ups and downs, but sadly means I'm mostly just a bit down, feeling like it'll never happen. I can really sympathise with you. Your OH sounds incredibly supportive however and you are NOT letting him down whatsoever. flash is right, there is so little control over this whole situation. It's just luck / biology / mother nature making us wait. Sometimes I just need to ball my eyes out for a while and then emerge feeling calmer. A good cry tonight could help.

chlo hmm that would usually mean you are super fertile, but if you haven't had AF yet I'm not too sure. Are you doing OPKs? Sorry you're feeling rubbish, that's the kind of thing that would make me sad too - all those plans we make and milestones we pass. I've got four weddings this year and always assumed I'd either be pregnant or have a baby at them. I definitely now won't have a baby this year -and its looking very unlikely I'll be pregnant! Eurgh.

chlo it is possible to ovulate after an mc before getting a period, that's what makes dating a pregnancy hard and why docs say to wait for a period before trying again. If it's wet and stretchy it sounds fertile if it's dry and sticky perhaps not. But if you can jump your dh do it!
