Thread 27. TTC #1 - we're stressed, we're fed up, we're bitter but I promise this will all be worth it when we're holding our precious babies

Calling all OPK-ers, Temp-ers, Clomid-ers, Femara-ers, IUI-ers, IVF-ers and anyone else on the TTC #1 Bus.

We've been going a while now so the novelty has worn off and we're slightly battle scarred and bruised in the cervix area. We don't get a lot of baby dust in these here parts, we just keep it legs spread and fingers crossed (LSFX). We love a baby bomb from a prior bus-mate but if we get told to 'just relax and enjoy it' ONE MORE TIME you will get a punch in the face!

Here's our Grad's Thread. May 2017 lead us all to upduffed heaven and the Grad's thread, amen.

Hop on board, post your stats and prepare to be dazzled by the wealth of TTC knowledge we long-timeys have to share...

Key:
HS - have/had sex
GOS - good old shag
ELH - enthusiastic lavatory happenings
LSFX - legs spread, fingers crossed

Arrrrgh I wrote a great big long response and lost it!

So so happy to see BFPs!!! Congratulations Harriet and Miranda!!!

Really pleased to hear about results as well jam 😃

Had a really lovely birthday yesterday - lunch with work friends, pint after work with DH then lovely dinner (complete with belly dancers!) and a glass of 🍷 afterwards. Was lovely to share a couple of drinks with DH - like we had our old lives back a bit. Going to a show tonight and GOS before we go - I actually want to for a change!! I noticed some ewcm yesterday and today (I hardly ever get any) and am on CD11 so on track to I've over next couple of days I think. Fx!

AlexiaB · 18/03/2017 11:23

Thanks for sharing Kerry Smile I think I'd choose my thigh as well! I really hope this is successful for you Flowers At least you're being proactive and giving yourself a greater chance at conceiving. It can and will happen!

I have been out shovelling gravel this morning, hope that won't effect anything. Read that there's really nothing you can do to prevent implantation exercise wise so fingers crossed!

10 dpo here and back to white/clear cm but caved and did a frer with fmu and bfn. I know it's too early, suspect if i am pg that implantation was on 8 dpo as had one blob of red mucus, followed by beige cm yesterday. Will test again Monday if no af. But if af does not appear today means I have achieved at least a 10 day LP which makes me happy!

So thrilled to have a couple of bpfs, it's about bloody time, we all deserve it!

Glad you had a lovely birthday pyjamas!

Londonjam · 18/03/2017 12:47

Sorry hep Sad 💐💐💐

Londonjam · 18/03/2017 12:48

Hurrah for a lovely birthday pyjamas glad you could enjoy a glass of vino together too

Miranda234 · 18/03/2017 13:02

Sorry for AF glittery and hep Flowers hope you're both ok.

Glad you had a lovely birthday pyjamas. Fx for you this cycle.

Sorry you have to go through that kerry but it will be worth it when you get your BFP Smile

Congratulations Harriet great way to start your holiday!!

Got everything crossed for you flash hoping it was just too early.

I had a drink last weekend, can't remember who was talking about drinking in the TWW but hopefully it doesn't do any harm Blush
I couldn't get hold of a FRER today so have used a clearblue digital and it says I'm 1-2 weeks pregnant. Had a terrible nights sleep last night and feel very sick today but I think that's more from shock than pregnancy symptoms haha

Have a lovely weekend everyone Smile

MissyJones80s · 18/03/2017 13:36

Whoop jam great news on the SA tests

MissyJones80s · 18/03/2017 13:48

miranda what amazing news I can definitely see a line there on that first one and 1-2 weeks on clear blue too fantastic news!

harriet fx for yours I could see a line there too.

hep and glittery CakeFlowers

So I am currently 6dpo, walking from car to restaurant last night had such a twinge down low to the right only lasted a few seconds and then went didn't feel like wind felt bit like ov pain. Anyways went to cinema after cinema and then back at home in bed had to rush to toilet with (tmi sorry) loose poo anyway that shit sometimes happens I know but i am now worrying I've screwed everything up. I have bad health anxiety and totally freaked out after rushing to bathroom and had an anxiety attack and then just couldn't sleep all night now I'm wondering what if that pain was implantation and now I've totally freaked out and had anxiety attack I've screwed it up... mental I know promise I'm not like this all the time... just needed to vent

KerryLeanne84 · 18/03/2017 13:58

Big hugs Missy - I think if its going to happen it will, regardless of anxiety. Women get pregnant in war zones and horrific situations so please don't think you've done anything to ruin things.

Thanks for the kind words Alexia and everyone else about the IUI!

MissyJones80s · 18/03/2017 14:20

Thanks kerry I know I'm being irrational I'm kind of convinced my stress might be what is causing my shorter lp so been trying to be more chilled out this cycle and it was going so well until yesterday hrumph that pain prob wasn't even implantation and breathe...

Londonjam · 18/03/2017 14:55

Absolutely what Kerry said, I'm absolutely sure you haven't jeopardised anything missy do some nice steady breathing exercises to calm down and forget all about it.

Got a blazer of an OPK and a GOS for good measure. Decided last minute to tag along to work with DH for a few days so I'm now off to Cape Town - hoping two long haul flights aren't going to make any difference to imminent egg and sperm flying about Confused

Londonjam · 18/03/2017 14:56

Hurrah for the clearblue by the way Miranda it must be lovely seeing it in writing like that. Hope you and your oh are enjoying taking it in. Are you going to tell anyone else? You also harriet?

Oh wow enjoy Cape Town Jam, sounds like your timings are spot on so fx this is your cycle!
I think we'll tell my side fairly soon as I work with my dad and also run and swim with my parents a few times a week so they'll know something's not right. Missed parkrun this morning as I'm not really sure what I should be doing exercise wise. Weirdly my dad said on Tuesday to my mum 'she's not pregnant is she' when I said I felt like I had a temperature! Turns out I was...

missy as the others have said I'm sure it won't have done anything to harm your chances, hope you're feeling a bit better now Smile

MissyJones80s · 18/03/2017 15:51

Thanks for the new list jam I'm hoping I'll last longer than the 21st fx!

Thanks for the positive words girls. With anxiety it all feels so real at the time.

miranda isn't it weird how your parents just know you so well. How awesome about what you dad said, you'll be able to look back at that story one day Smile

QuietTime · 18/03/2017 18:36

Thanks for the list, jam - & great GOS timing Wink

Miranda so exciting! Looking forward to hearing about your dad's reaction when he finds out he was right :)

Missy, hope you're feeling better xx

Glad I have some company this week; weather looks nice next weekend, so reckon will cheer up with some bevvies & a BBQ if it's AF as usual Smile

MissyJones80s · 18/03/2017 19:46

Ooh BBQ that sounds good quiet
Thanks I'm feeling okay still having niggling negative thoughts but I always have these post anxiety slump

glitteryvibes · 18/03/2017 20:46

Congrats harriet really hope its a sticky one for you.

sorry for af hep

missy some of my closest friends suffer with anxiety so i have seen how consuming it can be when you have an attack but the good news is that despite of it many of them now have little ones and the numerous attacks it did not seem to affect getting pregnant (also they all seem to have much fewer attacks now they have the baby as well strangely). dont beat yourself up about it, apparently when it comes to both stress and anxiety the only affect it really has on fertility is either delaying or preventing ovulation, so if youve already ovulated, it wont affect things.

MissyJones80s · 18/03/2017 22:27

Thanks so much for your words glittery Smile re the having children and less attacks it's weird you say that because my DH said something like this to me yesterday, I guess your mind is consumed with a little one so less time to daydream/ freak out!!!

Here's to fx a better nights sleep fx fx fx

Wonder if there's going to be any more BFP news tomorrow??????????

Londonjam · 19/03/2017 06:55

Miranda that's so lovely how close you are to your folks - and that your dad kind of guessed it!

Missy I tend to feel quite low post anxiety too, it can take a while to pick yourself back up. I've also wondered about how I'll be with children and anxiety, and always hoped that being so mentally occupied with parenting will mean less panic too. Fx

KerryLeanne84 · 19/03/2017 09:06

Thanks for adding me to the list Jam! Period is due 8 April but I guess the drugs I'm taking could mess it up

Happy Sunday everyone - hope you've all got lovely plans for the day xxx

Flashinthepan · 19/03/2017 09:15

Tested this morning bfn. Woke in the night feeling so sick I had to sit downstairs for a couple of hours drinking a can of coke. No sign of af even those we HS last night which usually brings it on. Boobs and nips still sore. Was sure it would be a bfp. If I hadn't been taking b50 I would say af was late but not sure when to expect it now.

Hopefulbunny · 19/03/2017 09:19

Congrats Miranda and Harriet!

Thank you for updating list Jam , not much will be happening for me as no ttc till after the op but would still like to be on list to feel included! Had to ignore FW which felt quite sad, but trying to stay positive.

I might purchase the advanced fertility CB to cheer myself up. It's very expensive but then so are the other CB kits which I have brought a few of, so it makes sense to spend a bit more on this one. Hope it's worth it!

Hi everyone else hope you are all well.

MissyJones80s · 19/03/2017 09:30

Thanks jam wouldn't wish anxiety like this on anyone but it is nice to know that I'm not alone it makes me feel less mad!!!

flash sorry to hear about your restless nauseated night. Bfn doesn't mean anything until you receive and unwanted visitor remember that! Fx for you.

When's the op hopefull sorry must have missed that post!? How long post op do you have to wait or can you get back on it? Grin

Flashinthepan · 19/03/2017 10:07

hopeful got all fx for your op. Those 3 months will fly by and at least you'll be prepared if you buy a monitor!
