FSH test has to be done on cd3 for an acurate picture. What did yours come out as? Mine was 10 I think. I had it done during a wacky cycle where I was in the middle of a 4 week bleed, no idea how acurate it was, but I think the symptoms spoke for themselves

Cleozeta · 09/12/2017 09:08

Has anyone ever used a cbfm pregnancy test? Do you always get a faint second line regardless of result? I know you are not supposed to read the lines, only use for monitor, but it's hard not to.
Only 11dpo but wanted to know if I can drink tonight.
Have run out of IC which are perfect for early detection and have no other suitable for 11dpo. Result came back BFN, but don't know how good the cbfm is with early detection. And saw a v v faint line which probably means nothing. Still have no answers. Balls.

Alibaba2 · 09/12/2017 11:03

As I’ve never had to test, I’m not sure. Is it a digital one that says Pregnant/Not Pregnant or do you wait for a second line? If the latter then surely a line is a line?

Alibaba2 · 09/12/2017 11:42

And if there’s a faint line then it’s not a BFN?

My pre-AF spotting started yesterday and AF not due until Thurs. This is normal for me. Spotting can start as early as 9dpo/10dpo and I had my prog tested at 9dpo and it was 50. So why am I spotting while prog is high?! And does it mean I’m out this cycle? I presume it does.

Cleozeta · 09/12/2017 16:48

Hi Alibaba, I did a test on the monitor. You POAS and then put the stick in the monitor and tells you if its + or - they say not to look at the lines but it's hard not to. Got v v faint line but monitor said no. I'm pretty sure its a no, just weird that its showing the line.

Sorry to hear your spotting has started. Have you been temping? That might give you a clue on your progesterone levels.

littlemimosa · 09/12/2017 19:37

Cleo can’t help sorry. Never used a monitor but I bet you’re clinging to a glimmer of hope. I know I would be! Fingers crossed for you x

Ali again sorry I can’t help you there. I’ve never had spotting. What is it supposed to mean? Low progesterone?

Alibaba2 · 10/12/2017 00:05

I don’t temp any more as too stressful but when I see to temp, they stayed high during spotting. It’s a tiny amount, hardly noticeable. But I’ve had it for years and have conceived since then. Just wondered if spotting means I’m out for that month as 9dpo is quite early to find out it’s not happened and then have to wait until 15dpo for AF!

Weird Cleo! I guess just test again tomorrow or day after. I had same dilemma about drinking but then the spotting started so no point testing.

Cleozeta · 10/12/2017 08:41

Tested again today 12dpo. Same again. 2 lines on stick but monitor says no. I think maybe it always has 2 lines regardless.
Also temp has gone down to coverline today so think I'm out

Alibaba2 · 10/12/2017 09:32

So weird Cleo! Any symptoms?

Cleozeta · 10/12/2017 10:35

I get symptoms every month! So it's really hard to tell what's new. Had what might have been teeny tiny amounts of spotting yesterday but I may have been mistaken. Not counting my chickens this month.

Cleozeta · 10/12/2017 12:11

Well I have my answer. AF is here.
Now I just need to decide weather to take soy again this month or be brave and risk a month off it. Going to go back to docs in the new year, try to get more tests. This ttc malarky is bloody stressful

Alibaba2 · 10/12/2017 16:37

It really is stressful (and depressing).

What was your cycle length before and after soy?

Cleozeta · 10/12/2017 17:25

Very depressing! Have always been simple 28 day cycle (never been on the pill) then randomly stopped ovulating. After soy its more like 33ish although varies

Alibaba2 · 10/12/2017 20:09

Do you know when you stopped ovulating? Did your cycles get longer?

Cleozeta · 11/12/2017 00:33

Not to start with. The first few months the length was the same but I had mid cycle spotting, then they got longer, as did the periods when they finally arrived.

Clara101 · 11/12/2017 17:44

Hi all, sorry abt AF Cleo and confusing cycles..

I was using CBFM this month and I go from Low day 8 to suddenly peak 9 and 10 then one day high and back to low again.

Can anyone help me interpret this? I guess v few fertile days linked to age? Ovulating this early unlikely to be viable?

The timing does tally with when my body indicates ov but signs come and go v quickly...!

Sending good wishes to all...

Cleozeta · 11/12/2017 17:55

Sounds like that was ov Clara. I noticed when using mine last month along side temping, that my ov day was actually the day after 2nd peak day, so in your case if the same, would mean you ov'd on cd11, which I don't think is too early.

Good luck

Karigan1 · 12/12/2017 11:54

Crossing fingers for you for next month Cleo and this month Clara

Just been for the repeat blood tests and had a good look at the last results. FSH was 5.6 and that was about 2 weeks after stopping the pill. Let’s see what the ‘think it’s day 21’ results are now! Then there should be an af as the actual trying is supposed to start next month. (Gave it a month to get the folic acid in the system etc before trying). Can’t say we’ve been that careful though Blush

Cleozeta · 12/12/2017 13:23

Sounds great so far karigan.

I have decided to do one more month of soy (to avoid any non ovulation stresses over Christmas) and then not do it next month and see what happens. I'm also going to book into the dr's in January and tell him I've been trying for almost a year now with no luck, and hopefully they will do some tests.
What are the standard NHS fertillity checks?

Karigan1 · 12/12/2017 13:36

I’m not entirely sure as I only went to have my thyroid levels checked but they did fsh, Lh, then full bloods and some kind of serum test. I’ll tell you more when I get the full results!

Hope its all good for you next month :)

Cleozeta · 12/12/2017 15:19

Fingers crossed for all good results!

Alibaba2 · 12/12/2017 17:01

Karigan - FSH sounds good to me!

Cleo - they should do cd3 and cd21 bloods (or 7 days before AF), they may also do scan and sperm analysis if you’re lucky.

Clara - the high result is your oestrogen increasing and the peak is a LH surge. Do you use the CBFM every month? Did you start early enough in cycle?

littlemimosa · 12/12/2017 23:20

Cleo - sorry AF got you. Feel your pain.

Clara - early ovulation is a feature of my cycles these days. I’m currently on cd9 and I can feel everything waking up and beginnings of ewcm. This is good for me. Last two cycles I’ve ovulated as early as day 6 and day 8. I’ll put my money on day 10 or 11 this cycle.

Can I ask.... how much does everyone have sex?! Do you just dtd around ovulation or all through the month?

Cleozeta · 13/12/2017 07:54

We just do every other day from before fertile time (I ov late) to a day or 2 after ov

If you follow the sperm meets egg plan, they suggest every other day until you get a +opk then every day for 3 days, then 1 for luck 2 days later. (Or something like that)

Karigan1 · 13/12/2017 09:56

Um if I had my way it would be every day but only because I think he’s gorgeous and he’s rather good at it lol ☺️For actual ttc my dr seems to have alternative views. She said just do it every other day when possible and told me not to use ovulation sticks. She said to monitor when you get signs such as the egg white like stuff and sore boobs instead. She said that sticks stress you out and stress can effect hormones. It’s better to just relax and enjoy the sex. We’re only just starting so haven’t had a chance to test her theories yet.
