Hi all. Just saying hello and want to wish rememberall good luck! Hope this is it for you. Can I ask how old you are again and how long you’ve been ttc?
Nothing to report here. Feeling a bit fed up with everything tbh. Keep ovulating early in my cycle which is driving me mad. Cd 5/6 last month and cd7-8 this month. We managed one attempt but I don’t hold much hope. Dr Google seems to be of the opinion it’s a sign of aging ovaries. Great :( anyone else getting this as they get older?

Rememberallball · 16/11/2017 08:55

Hi littlemimosa, I am going to be 46 next month; DH and I been together since May 2024 and been tv since September same year. Fertility tests in 2015 showed little to explain why no success except my age and an AMH of 1.83 gave indication of poor egg reserve and potentially poor egg quality. Consultants recommendation was DE IVF but, due to my age, there was no NHS support hence we looked down the internationalclinic route!

EmJoyorker · 16/11/2017 09:19

Thanks I'm going to try 200mg. In also taking inofolic for PCOS. Had my 21 day blood yesterday but looks like AF has arrived today so that's not going to be an accurate result :( got my scan today to look at ovaries. I'm so irregular now, 34 days last month and 21 days this month. OPK never picks up a surge so I've no idea when and if I'm ovulating. No EWCM last month which is unusual. Feels a bit hopeless at the moment.

Cleozeta · 16/11/2017 12:38

Fingers crossed for you rememberall!

Good luck with your scan Em, hope all ok, let us know how it goes. Hopefully it will give you answers. Sometimes the frustration is just not knowing what the heck is going on.

Littlemimosa, I think there are suppliments you can take for delaying ovulation, might be worth looking into that. Great that you are still ovulating though, while you are, there is always hope.

I've started charting this month, and using a clearblue advance monitor to hopefully give me some clues on what is happening and if I am actually ovulating. So far chart is a bit wacky, but I don't know if it's just generally wacky or if the fact that I had a few drinks on the evenings before high temp readings has made a difference I'm not sure. Will have to experiment.

weasledee · 16/11/2017 20:57

Hi cleo, just wanted to say that I used the clear blue monitor for my second pregnancy and apparently I didn’t ovulate that month (never got the smiley face) but my “non ovulation”’is now 4 years old...... Smile

littlemimosa · 16/11/2017 23:19

Wow remember what a journey you’ve been on (literally and metaphorically!). So did you use donor eggs in the end out there? How are you feeling about testing?

Cleo thanks for the advice. Will look online for supps to delay ov.

Does anyone else get early ovulation?

Hi weasel, how you doing hun?

Em sorry you’re feeling a bit hopeless. I can empathise with that. My ovulation is doing weird things and it’s hard not to worry that my time is over (am 41 but only got 1 ovary ).

Rememberallball · 17/11/2017 06:51

Hi Little, I’m excited to test and know we’ve succeeded but also apprehensive at the same time in case the bfp doesn’t materialise this cycle. My clinic advised only using DE because of my age and reduced success rates on tandem and potential risk of chromosomal abnormalities at my age.

Just noticed my last post says we met in 2024 - obviously I mean 2014 and have got fat fingers which don’t mix well with small keyboard on little iPhone!!

Another ic test this am after a night shift and 8dp5dt - and big fat nothing!! Oh well, had 4 FRER delivered late last night, so once I’m home from work (was on a night shift) I will sleep for a couple of hours and then maybe use one of them - and probably order more online!!

EmJoyorker · 17/11/2017 12:03

Good luck remember, really hoping for you.
Scan yesterday was ok PCOS actually looks fine. Very different to a few years ago. Not sure if the infacol has helped or it's just cleared on its own so that was good news. She did say she could only see one small follicle just on the left. I didn't question at the time but I have been looking on the internet and this doesn't sound good. Symptom of low ovarian reserve, should have at least 6. I can't really seem to find an answer but do follicles come and go? My cycle was 21 days this month so the scan was on day 1, could more appear or would that have been it. Wish I had been more aware of it as would have asked more questions.

EmJoyorker · 17/11/2017 12:05

Little. Is this your first you are trying for? I have two friends both with one ovary and they both conceived. One it happened straight away. The other one who was same age as you did take a bit longer, had clomid and now has 2 children.

littlemimosa · 17/11/2017 21:35

Remember - it’s very early days so don’t lose hope yet.

Em - I’m ttc #3. I didn’t have any particular issues conceiving my first two but I was younger then. They are 4 & 6 and I’m now 41. I’m just stressing a bit because I’ve noticed changes lately in my cycle. Most notably the early flippin ovulation which I’ve read is linked to aging ovaries. Shoot me now. How about you? Do you already have any dc?

EmJoyorker · 17/11/2017 22:18

Little - yes I have a DD who is 15 months. I stopped BF 9 months ago and my periods returned straight away but are so irregular. I thought it would have settled by now which makes me wonder if it's age related.

Rememberallball · 18/11/2017 06:25

Thanks Little, I’m keeping upbeat that it’s just too early and I’ll get a pleasant surprise on Tuesday. Saying that, I had another bfn on FRER this morning at 9dp5dt

PollyIndia · 18/11/2017 13:44

AF came on Thurs, a day late, so I got excited for a minute. Anyway, decided for the best as we have some fun plans over the next month and would have to cancel them. So I'm starting semi properly now - going to do acupuncture and TCM, bought uniquinol, and going to temp chart. DP is getting his sperm tested this week then I'll get him to take supps too. Realistically, I'll give up booze and sugar completely in Jan. It's only a month and might as well have a nice xmas.
I think most important thing is to be relaxed, though easier said than done right!
Good luck remember. Am i right in thinking you've used donor eggs? Wasn't quite sure from your posts on this page. I've thought that if i am not pg naturally by next june, and DP's sperm is ok, we'll do donor eggs abroad. Kind of takes the pressure off in a way.

Cleozeta · 19/11/2017 09:37

Haha weasledee I like that story about the cbfm, will try not to get too upset if it gives me nothing this first month.

Littlemimosa - your situation seems very similar to mine, except I'm a year younger and a bit further along the ageing overies route! If the early ovulation is down to age, then its the very early stage, so you should still have years left in you yet (up to 10 apparently!). I think mine has gone way past that stage, but still not giving up yet.

Em - sounds like there were difinitely some positive aspects to your scan, afraid I don't know much about the folicle situation and how that works, maybe ask your doc? So hard to ask questions at the time isn't it, I alwaus get the question in my head after I have left the situation too. So annoying. Think faster brain!!

Remember - still early days! Fingers crossed for you

PollyIndia, I think having Dec more relaxed is a great idea, I think I'll have a month off then too. Might as well enjoy Christmas stress free. Might even avoid soy that month too as I've done 3 months on the trot now.

Alibaba2 · 19/11/2017 12:02

Hello everyone. I’m an old-timer on this thread but haven’t been on for a while.

I am also an early ov-er. My usual was cd11 and I know I can get pg like that. However, ov has shifted to cd10, sometimes cd9.

My consultant said this is fine and eggs are released when they are ready. However, I’m not convinced and am thinking of trying soy isoflavones - nothing to lose eh? I’ve been ttc for 18 months now.

Should I take it on cd2-6? There is a 50mg option on Amazon or a 100mg option with red clover and kudzu root. Which do you think is best?

Does anyone on here get spotting before AF?

weasledee · 19/11/2017 13:15

Hi ladies, I have a corcern that playing on my mind.... I’ve had 3 miscarriages this year, at 5 weeks, 14 weeks (patau Syndrome) and 8 weeks (stopped growing at 6 weeks so had erpc)
I’m lucky in the fact I had no problem getting pregnant even at this “mature”
age but I’m worried now that all my eggs are no good! I keep thinking my body gets rid of the pregnancy because there is something wrong with it, Defo the case with the patau pregnancy.
Now convinced that if another pregnancy continued there would Defo be something wrong with the baby Shock
Not shared these concerns in RL

Rememberallball · 19/11/2017 13:36

Hi Polly, yes we used donor eggs - I was told over 2 years ago now that de ivf would likely be my only option due to age and blood results during fertility investigations. At first we said, if it meant ivf we wouldn’t go ahead and content ourselves with DSCs (both adults) and DGCs. Then DH agreed to consider treatment abroad perhaps tandem cycling. However, the clinic we chose recommended total DE treatment after age of 40 as it yields best results!!

Cleozeta · 19/11/2017 16:12

Hi alibaba, if you are using soy to delay ov you are probably best doing it from day 3 or 4. I use it from day 2 as I don't seem to ov on my own at all any more. I tried from day 3 last month and I ov'd a lot later (cd17), it helps release a maturer egg apparently.
I get mine from Tesco's 40mg

I don't get spotting before af, but a lot after, usually until about cd 8 or 9 (age related probably, as I never used to)

Hi weasledee, I understand your worries, I have thought this too. Thankfully no mc (yet) but I do wonder sometimes if I am doing the right thing by trying at this age. Especially in perimenopause. Although in saying that, all people I know that have had pregnancies in their 40's recently have all successfully had lovely healthy babies. So even though risk is higher for problems it's not a definite. Also things like ubiquinol and royal jelly can improve egg quality

weasledee · 19/11/2017 19:01

Really I didn’t know that cleo, I’ll be investing in some royal jelly tomorrow! Thanks, must be worth a try :) x

Alibaba2 · 20/11/2017 18:55

Cleo - how long do you take the SI for?

littlemimosa · 20/11/2017 19:29

Weaseldee I hear you loud and clear. I have those concerns too. I woke in the night and it was playing on my mind. I sometimes wonder if I’m playing with fire:(
Alibaba good to hear I’m not the only one ovulating early. You thinking seriously of the SI? How old are you and do you have DC already?
Any news Remember? Thinking of you.
Cleo - thanks for the positivity. Thing is I just don’t know if I’m perimenopausal or not. Other than blood tests how did you know?

Alibaba2 · 20/11/2017 20:54

Hi Mimosa,

I’ve just turned 42 and have and 6 and 8 year old. What about you?

Am reading up on SI tonight and this is the best info I’ve found:

community.babycenter.com/post/a49693639/soy_isoflavones_6_bfps_so_far_keep_them_coming_ladies

weasledee · 20/11/2017 22:12

Hi little, yeah it’s on my mind all of the time! I think I’m edging towards sticking at 2..... but then I think will I regret it in 10 years???!
I’d adopt but my DH won’t consider it....
just so confused x

littlemimosa · 20/11/2017 22:23

Thanks for the link Ali. Food for thought for me too.
I’m 41.5 and have a 6 and a 4 year old

Weasel I feel for you. It’s so hard. I think I’m getting close to stopping but it makes my heart break at the thought. I’ve not had a whiff of a bfp so in one way that’s hard but the miscarriages must be heartbreaking.
Can you get some counselling to talk thru your worries and fears? It’s something I might do at some point.

Rememberallball · 20/11/2017 23:13

Hi Little, nothing yet news wise. Blood test booked for 10:48 tomorrow morning.
