I use clue lostmymojo. I've been not-using-protection-but-not-officially-trying for about 6/7 months now. Now properly having a go - only difference is I'll take extra supps and he will too and I am going to have a go at tracking temps too as opposed to going on what the app says, which i know is total guesswork. Think you can use clue to track it. I think I ovulated last weds/thurs - total guesswork based on libido - so that would make me about a week away from AF. I won't bother doing any tests unless I'm late.

@cleo I've got a clearblue fertility monitor. It worked a treat for me with DC1, but I've never had a peak with this time ttc and have tried a while. the fertility doc I saw suggested peeing on a cheap opk in the afternoon as the Lh surge can be so short you miss it between one morning and the next and apparently it is more likely to show in the afternoons.

Thanks happy. In that case I suspect I will probably not get peak either. I'm willing to try anything this next cycle though so will see how it goes using cheapies in the afternoons too. Does the monitor need FMU?

Does anybody temperature chart or do you all suggest OPKs instead?
What does FMU stand for cleozeta?

Pollyindia, I do both. Have charted temps for years and it’s great because it confirms ovulation has happened which OPKs do not. OPKs help if you want to spot when you are likely to ovulate in advance, although I find them less helpful as I get older because I think I am ovulating closer to my surge which often means by the time I get the positive there is no time to have sex before the egg releases. I think the best sign of impending ovulation for me is increased cervical mucus, but if you are having regular sex it can be hard to distinguish from semen.

Fmu is first morning urine.
I only do opk's at the moment but going to start charting as I thought I had ovulated over 2 weeks ago according to opk's but still no af, and negative tests, so wodering if I did not ov at all....

Really confused. Did an opk today to see if maybe I didn't ovulate and body might try again. Well got a very faint line on it. I'm almost always completely blank on opk's except for surge days. So could I be trying to ov again and the one 2 weeks ago failed? Or is it possible to have a faint line on opk before af?? So confusing!

Cleo, it’s not uncommon to have a little bit of LH in your pee at times other than ovulation. I wouldn’t read anything into it.

@cleo yes the cbfm asks for FMU and you set a 5 hour testing window as it also wants you to test in same time block each day.

@polly that's helpful to hear about the LH surge and ovulation getting closer in timing as I just found that out last week. It might mean I am cutting it too fine.

Af finally arrived today, thankfully. I can now crack on with this new cycle. Was starting to get really concerned that it was an anovulatory cycle. As it happens af came on 16dop so probably just a long LP.

Good luck lost. I know what you mean about the over analysing. I've been doing so much of that, part of me wonders if that is why af took so long! So hard not to though

I had 3 day 5 blast embryos transferred this afternoon so now I’m waiting till the 21st when I have bloods done to check bHCG levels!!

Good luck! I'm really confused about my cycle. I thought I had 2 days of EWCM last weekend but negative OPK I've now had 5 days of flashing smiley but no EWCM at all. AF due in 12 days.

I dropped in to one of these threads some time ago. Just dropping back with a question. Hope that's ok?

I have one child, then had a run of three MCs, which earned me a visit to the recurrent MC clinic. The consultant prescribed 5mg folic acid and said it wasn't for the usual reason (for the standard, lower dose) of avoiding neural tube defects. The conversation moved on and I realised afterwards that I don't know what it is for.

Could anyone enlighten me please? Thanks.

I was given 5mg folic acid by a fertility clinic as I am MTHFR heterozygous. That is something they test for at the RMC.
I think I’ve read something suggesting folic acid may improve outcomes generally, so that might be an alternative reason why.

Popping in to say hi and uodate/catch up. No soy this cycle but had horrendous ovulation pain or pain in that area from the end of af to suspected ov. My reflexologist mentioned I was 'crunchy' last cycle but clear on this one-bizarre. I'm querying cysts maybe? Anyway I've taken a much more relaxed approach this month. Have cut out a lot of supplements and have enjoyed time with DH. Considering acupuncture next. Need some time off and time to eat drink and be merry so December will be a TTC free month!

Does anyone take Ubquinol? I have the Woods one I saw somebody put the link on here - thanks! It's 100mg. How many a day would you suggest?

Mini, that's a great idea to take a break over Christmas. And that's when it'll probably happen! Haha

Hi Em, I've just started taking ubiquinol (same brand), I take 2 a day at the moment, no idea if that's enough

Back home now - and, boy is it cold!!

Crossing days off the calendar till a week on tuesday and our gp appointment for the blood test. Had some really strong pains over the last 3 days - on Friday (1dp5dt) it led to really upset stomach in the evening and, yesterday, lots of gripey pains and wind but no upset stomach while we were on the flight home. Wonder if this is just a coincidence or if others get this??

I take 400mg ubiquinol per day, but that’s not based on anything scienc-y!
TBH I’ve been taking it for years so not convinced it does much.
But then it may be DH I need to improve and he is anti-supplement...

Fingers crossed @remember. No joy for me this cycle. Very hard to try in Nov as my dates don't line up with donor. I take 100mg of ubiquinol but have seen 300 recommended on here.

Hi @EmJoyorker and @Cleozeta I’m taking 2 of the Woods ubiquinol. No idea if that’s enough, but I managed 2 pregnancies without it (which ended badly) so am hoping this might help the situation.

I got my first high on CBFM this morning cd10, first full cycle after early mc. So, off we go again 🤞

Morning ladies; am 6dp5dt today. Using ic with fmu to track if/when I start to register hcg - big nothing yet but am not stressing as know it’s still very early though I’ve read that some ladies get bfp’s this early.

Blood test (12dp5dt) is booked for Tuesday morning so less than a week to wait for official confirmation one way or another!!
