Thanks Cleo, Happy, Polly and Little. I am not counting my chickens yet though. Had some brown discharge today which is worrying me. I’m well past period due date (by about 5 days) so not sure what it is. Could be mc so I’m expecting the worst.

I’ve been ttc this time for three months.

I hadn’t thought of getting oh to take any supplements- that’s an interesting idea.

PollyIndia · 05/11/2017 09:22

Crossing everything for you rugby.
Yes it is amazing re my friend. I think it's a bit of magic but she is very pragmatic and says it was just her 1 good egg and that all the ivf stuff had fired things up.
Ah green tea is a good tip. I need to step away from the coffee so that could be a good substitute.
Still dithering about ubiquinol as it's so expensive. Also thinking about acupuncture... My friend does transformational breathing and has offered me a few sessions - she says that's amazing for clearing stuff out and helping with fertility too but definitely more on the woo than science side!

Cleozeta · 05/11/2017 10:12

I love green tea, so that's a bonus!
I've decided I'm going to test tomorrow, 13dpo. Getting really nervous and had loads of crazy dreams last night. Would be so nice to be able to relax a bit more about the whole thing

DT2016 · 05/11/2017 10:46

I came on here to ask what dosage of ubiquinol you ladies take, and low and behold, you are already posting about it Smile

I’m taking 100mg daily but think I may increase to 200mg.

I found it on Woods Supplements website - 60 caps for £12.99 and if you buy 3 you get one free so works out not too expensive.

littlemimosa · 05/11/2017 12:55

Good luck for tomorrow Cleo! I'm needing some hope for over 40s conceptions....i'm running low on it....

Hi DT2016. That's a great price for ubiquinol - thanks for the tip.

Rugby - still got everything crossed for you.

Polly - I think you should go for the breathing thing. It sounds fascinating, i love stuff like that, not woo at all. And acupuncture is supposed to be amazing for fertility - that's why i'm having it lol! Just chucking a ton of money at this last ditch attempt. Cheaper than IVF tho i guess.

Rugby01 · 05/11/2017 15:02

Good luck Cleo. Fingers crossed for you too.

Spotting has stopped and I’m very tired though who knows what’s going on.

Green tea sounds like a good idea. Though I read once that it does contain some caffeine though not sure how much. I wish it was recommended to drink four mugs of steaming strong real coffee everyday to get pregnant. Ha

Clara101 · 05/11/2017 15:29

Hi everyone, congrats Rugby, hopefully everything will be fine! Nothing going on w me but my Dsis is 10wks pg with her first at 42 nearly 43 so over the moon abt that and just praying goes through fine.

HappyHedgehog247 · 05/11/2017 21:32

tested today and it's BFN :( I am only 10 DPO but on my new favourite obsessive website countdowntopregnancy! it shows the majority of people having a +ve by 10 dpo. Onto cycle 3/4 I guess and I realise that is many less than lots of people on here.

Rugby01 · 05/11/2017 21:53

Boo for that Happy, and hope you’re going to have a glass of something tonight.

Clara - good news about your sis.

Rugby01 · 05/11/2017 21:53

And thanks Clara. I’m hoping so too

DT2016 · 06/11/2017 06:59

AF arrived for me this morning, so onto next cycle. This is first AF after early mc last month. Going to double up ubiquinol dose.

Congratulations @Rugby01 Hope you have a happy, healthy pregnancy.

SparkwoodAnd21 · 06/11/2017 07:33

Ubiquinol is so expensive! The ones on the woods website are not vegetarian. Is co-enzyme Q10 any good?

DT2016 · 06/11/2017 07:48

@SparkwoodAnd21 I think ubiquinol is the pure form of Coenzyme Q10, and is easier for your body to absorb x

Cleozeta · 06/11/2017 09:39

So, I got a BFN today. Obviously. I was expecting that but it doesn't stop the disapointment. To be honest I'm starting to feel really stupid for even thinking there is a chance.
Oh well, going to have a few drinks tonight instead.

littlemimosa · 06/11/2017 13:01

Oh Cleo - so sorry to hear that. How many DPO/which CD are you? Yes it IS always upsetting. I feel your pain. AF arrived for me today and although we missed ovulation i still secretly hoped some sex we'd had after ov would have miraculously made me pregnant. Duh. I get how you start to feel stupid for thinking there's a chance, i keep going there in my head too.

I'm sorry if you've said all this before but how long have you been ttc? Is it #1 ? How old are you?

littlemimosa · 06/11/2017 13:04

sparkwood - the way i understand it is CoQ10 is what is found in food, ubiquinol is what your body converts it to to use it. Supposedly, after a certain age (have read varying ages from 20 -40) your body gets less efficient at converting it. So if you take ubiquinol you are guaranteeing you are getting the form you need. If that makes sense...

Cleozeta · 06/11/2017 13:53

Today is 13dpo (cd 30) so definitely a no this time. So frustrating as I was having symptoms, but yet again the symptoms always turn out to be what I can only guess is low progesterone.
I am 40 but in perimenopause so may be unrealistic in my case. Having to take soy every month to ovulate. Been trying now for about 7 or 8 months I think, but at the begining I was not actually ovulating, but didn't realise it. Thankfully I do already have 2 children (aged 4 and 6) but I really just wanted that last little one. I always wanted another one but didn't realise how much until I turned 40, and now it seems I've left it too late.
Now I need to decide weather to give up on the idea, or put more into it and keep going. It's just so gutting every month when it fails. Am I living in dream world, that's the question I keep asking myself

Welcome lost!
I was offered an fsh test to check for perimenopause as I was having symptoms. You can actually buy home tests to check too, which is highly depressing if you get a line (seems to be the only line I can guarantee on these days!!). Dr tests are same but a bit more specific. But chances are if you are still ovulating and having regular periods you are probably fine

Good luck with the strips, let us know how you get on. Hopefully all will be fine for you. Sometimes it just takes a bit longer when we get older, but while we are still ovulating it's not impossible.
I've decided not to give up and go into it full throtle. Just ordered some ubiquinol from woods (thanks for the tip DT!) and also getting a fertility monitor and thermomiter. Sod it' I'm going all out!
How many dpo are you, lost? I know how you feel about not wanting to poas, I didn't want to either as I was quite enjoying having hope, but I knew the longer I enjoyed that hope the harder the fall would be! At least now I can start a fresh cycle. Hoping af will arrive tomorrow as that will be 14 dpo, meaning nice LP length.
Oh, quick tip on the FSH strips, they advise you do it on CD3 for most acurate results

Not posted for a bit. Cyprus is lovely and we’ve really relaxed here (partly because there’s nothing to do at the hotel and we’re miles from the city of Kyrenia so not much to go out if hotel for) and had early nights - though I’ve been waking up at 4/5am Cypriot time (2/3am UK) which might bite me on the bum when we’re back home.

ET happening on Thursday - we had 12 fertilised eggs that were graded on day 3 stage as 6 x grade 1 excellent; 2 x grade 1 good (developing marginally slower than the 5) and finally remaining 4 alerte listed as ‘good’ but slower developing though not discounted at that stage.

I am on 5 day prep stage which is clexane injections (which I’ll stay on till 12 weeks); crinone gel twice daily (also till 12 weeks) and 5 days of antibiotics which finish on Thursday morning. I am looking like a pin cushion and starting to get bruises from the clexane so look really good - not!!

Very excited and will know by blood test on the 21st whether we’ve been successful or not!!

Cleozeta · 07/11/2017 11:42

Good luck remember! That all sounds promising. Fingers crossed for you!

Lost, I am 14dpo today now too, although for some unknown reason I have a feeling af will not show today. I hope it hurries up as I want to get on with the new cycle now. Are you planning on testing today? Or waiting it out?

I have bought a clearblue fertility monitor, will need to poas with that, and also a bbt for temping. Also just downloaded a fertility app on my phone. I'm totally not giving up yet! Just waiting for af now so I can get started
