Hahaha don't worry!
I am soooo confused however, as I'm carrying on doing opk's until AF just out of interest and the test line is getting darker again. Surge was Thursday, yesterday's much lighter then this mornings one was darker again. Not as dark as control. If not far off again.
What is going on? Am I going to ovulate again or is my body just screwed up??!?!! Confused

Alibaba2 · 20/05/2017 09:07

Pixie, I had a cycle like that after my MC when I kept getting positive or near positive opks for days in a row.

Ekphrasis · 20/05/2017 11:07

...or they're picking up pregnancy hormones Grin

Ekphrasis · 20/05/2017 11:09

I joke - it could be weird cycle or it could be strong urine, or even that your other ovary is ovulating?

PhoenixMama · 20/05/2017 11:17

Pixie are you using fmu or testing at approx same time every day?

Pixie106 · 20/05/2017 11:57

I did a pg test just to see, and negative!

I'm using 2nd urine of the day and then again about 5pm. The early one picked up my surge on Thursday. The later ones are always lighter, despite me limiting drink for 2-4 hrs beforehand.
It's darker this morning, but will have to see about this afternoons one.

PhoenixMama · 20/05/2017 15:08

I'm still peeing on opks (5dpiui) and they're still relatively dark. Someone on another thread said some people's lh levels are naturally higher after ov.

Clara101 · 24/05/2017 19:54

Hello, how is everyone? Phoenix how long do you have til you can test and how are you feeling?

I think AF is abt to turn up for me so in that annoying PMT phase. I tried doing more exercise this month which was a tip fm the 40+ pg thread. So at least feeling a bit better for that and gonna try and keep it up!

PhoenixMama · 24/05/2017 20:19

Hi Clara - sorry to hear about AF - boo hiss! I'm testing on Friday (which is 11dpo) but AF is due Tuesday so I'll start most likely spotting on Monday so no much longer to agony or success!

PhoenixMama · 26/05/2017 04:28

Tested this morning & bfn. Opks getting lighter too. 11dpiui & af due on Tues.

Alibaba2 · 26/05/2017 07:52

Phoenix, could it be too early?

Ekphrasis · 26/05/2017 08:09

clara what was the idea behind more exercise ? (I can probably guess though!)

Sorry about impending AFs. 11 Dpo might be a tad early. I got a positive at 9 dpo with my mc and 12 with my son, but so many I know it's much later. Fingers crossed for you!

I think I'm bfn this month. Though if af is on the way I'm not really noticing it.
I've been on ubiquinol for 6 weeks now and at the very least it's had a big impact on energy levels.

PhoenixMama · 26/05/2017 09:08

It might be too early but I've had bfps this early before. Guess I'll know either way in 72 hours.

Alibaba2 · 26/05/2017 10:05

Which test did you use Phoenix?

PhoenixMama · 26/05/2017 10:28

I used a frer. It's tough because I can't afford to do too many tries and I have dd to think about.

Clara101 · 26/05/2017 18:30

Oh Phoenix that's tough, I'm hoping it still turns positive for you. And in case not that next cycle comes good.

I'm also bit fed up as AF definitively here and splitting headache! Our timing has been really good last 3-4 cycles but nothing when I fell easily at 38 and 41. So thinking my time must be done which isn't surprising at 44 but still disheartening.. I'm thinking to try IUI / natural ivf but need to do the day 3 bloods to see if any point.

Ek, on exercise, when I asked the 40+ pg ladies for tips on anything they'd done different before they fell, more exercise was just something a couple mentioned. Nutritionist also told me wd be good to just get blood pumping a bit more. Anyway generally feeling much better for it (aside fm this splitting AF headache!) And I find good for mood too.

Hugs and luck to all. Pls keep posting as think it helps us all to support, vent, share!

PhoenixMama · 29/05/2017 06:42

Well my first iui cycle officially failed. Started spotting this morning. Will call the clinic later to discuss. So incredibly gutted. Knowing I'm running out of time is just awful. Lots to figure out/think about now. I hate that the biggest reason it won't work is my age. Such a killer.

Ekphrasis · 29/05/2017 09:04

phoenix I'm so terribly sorry. What a blow for you. When will you get to discuss it with the clinic? How many attempts can you/ will you try?

For future reference, I found the cheap Asda's and Sainsbury's tests to be as early as the first response. Still not quite as cheap as an ic. One batch of those though were also as sensitive when I was pregnant earlier this year.

Clara101 · 29/05/2017 19:40

Phoenix, I'm so sorry that's really hard. I hope you're ok... The first few days of AF are awful even without this so be gentle to yourself. I think it's great you took this step. Not everyone has the courage. It can still pay off. How do you feel this eve?

Have you read all about the egg? Maybe worth having blast at her suggestions before next IUI as goes are limited. I just had vit d checked and found it was low which is one of the things to check mentioned there. Many virtual hugs!

Ekphrasis · 30/05/2017 11:25

I think I've had a chemical. I'm not too sure how to feel!

I only tested on Saturday just to check so I could drink at a party. I'd been expecting my period on the Friday and had felt unwell but it hadn't arrived. The lines were super faint but I didn't drink just incase (I did two tests) though I did wonder if they were evaporation lines. But I'm sure they can't be as they showed almost immediately. I can still see them. My period when it arrived on Sunday felt more like the mc had, 2 months ago now. Then last night (I hope not too much info and apologies) there was a small round lump on my pad, a bit rubbery.

We hadn't actively ttc but hadn't been careful and I had a very clear opk. I suppose I'm worried this is going to become a regular thing. Or it's something else?!

I guess this is the curse of the sensitive tests. It was a sainsburies cheap test - but I do think they're sensitive.

Ekphrasis · 30/05/2017 20:28

clara thanks for the reply re exercise. I've not really been with it the last few days, sorry for not replying. It makes sense to do more exercise, get more oxygen to your body.

I hope everyone else is ok despite goddam af?

pixie are things ok with you?

I'm trying to gauge whether to try baby aspirin for the whole cycle or just after ov or bfp. It seems to just be regarding tummy issues the preference for only half the cycle or bfp?

Ekphrasis · 31/05/2017 10:40

I hope all are well?

I started my new exercise regime today!

I'm just going to push myself a bit more on my occasional half arsed run that I've found out is only 2.5 k and do more yoga and physio that I'm supposed to be doing.

And eat prunes. I always used to eat prunes and plain yoghurt. High antioxidants and probiotics might help eh?! And then I think a baby aspirin as the yoghurt will be a good stomach liner. plus all the other things I'm taking

Track not tract 👀

PhoenixMama · 31/05/2017 17:56

I'm focusing on diet & exercise too. At least it's something I can control. Going away tomo with DD for a few days. Hoping that will help.
