MAD HATTERS AND MARCH HARES????? IN HERE!

1000 replies

Ready · 02/02/2007 15:16

Or should that read Mad TTCers and March Hopefuls??

Thought that I would start a March thread as from tomorrow I will no longer be eligible for the February thread. Of course I will be lurking and keeping fingers crossed for those still in with a shout... but it's time to move on.

Who's with me???

OP posts:
cityangel · 02/02/2007 15:53

I'm with you CD2 how about you mad hatter?

ammylovesbabies · 02/02/2007 15:57

I am with you in spirit but wont actually be WITH YOU til summer now ladies- sorry.

If I get a bun in my oven at this point, DP, my mum, my MIL, the vicar and the lady at the brideswear shop will all bay for my blood.

Good luck though! I have everything crossed!!
xxxxxxxxxx will miss you all 2!

iwillbepgbydec07 · 02/02/2007 16:09

i am going to semi join you - a/f arrived as you all know but with my pathetic cycles turning up whenever they want i possibly may still squeeze one in on the feb thread!

i am going to be charting this month see if that can shed some hope and possibly may get the pre-seed out!

i am getting a bit peed off with this ttc lark - i just want to be pg and think normal!!! keeping thinking to myself too that i am infertile...well nothing like positive energy eh to kick off my first post on a new thread....

onwards and upwards.

Ready · 03/02/2007 13:42

Cityangel, I am so sorry to hear that you are so down. I your thread about going to see the GP, and I really hope that he(she) is responsive and helpful. Even if you don't get referred straight away, I hope that you are taken seriously, at the very least. It's awful to hear you are at your lowest, it's easy to beat yourself up about moping, but the heart wants what it wants (sorry, cliche!!) and no matter how great other aspects of your life are, this will inevitably always be on your mind. Hang in there flower!! My fingers are crossed for you. Wishing you all the very best.

I am on CD1 here, I was a bit pre-emptive starting the thread, but I knew I would be on it!! That's the beauty of charting my temperature, I just knew.

Iwillbepgbydec07, well, hope you get your BFP in Feb still. Fingers crossed.

Ammylovesbabies, all the best. Enjoy your break from ttc, I hope it does you the world of good.

Hi all, feeling better today, although rowed with dh yesterday so miserable weekend ahead.

I am trying to be positive about the doctors but its difficult. Started on the Agnus Castus this month too so hoping that helps.

cityangel · 03/02/2007 14:26

Are you guys trying anything new/ different?

Hope you are having a better weekend than me

Ready · 03/02/2007 14:33

I'm not trying anything different, really. I bought some OPKs from Boots, as they were on special. I really only wanted to give them a try to see if they concurred with my temps. I am thinking of trying some reflexology, just to relax me really (so perhaps a pedicure would be just as useful ) I don't know, it feels like it's been forever ttc, but in reality, it's still only my 6th cycle, and the average is 6months to a year, so I know I should just try to relax. I am 28 in a week so I guess that also means that I am still young enough to not get concerned. It's just so hard to know what to think really.

Sorry I rambled on a bit there, I hope some of it made sense.

I feel grotty today, but DH and I have decided that this evening we will just rent a dvd, have some chicken fajitas, and curl up on the sofa and scoff chocolate! So it's shaping up to be a good evening. Just can't wait to get trying again

Try to relax and enjoy your weekend... load up on paracetomol... positive thoughts for this cycle for both of us!!!

OP posts:
Ready · 03/02/2007 14:34

Sorry to hear that you and your DH rowed. Hope it was only something daft. Hugs.

cityangel ((cycle bud))

sorry to hear you are having a shit time at the minute, i hope you and dp make it up soon and it was only a silly little argument (blame it on af arriving)

when is your appointment at the docs? keep us informed of how it goes. my dp wont even go! i mentioned last night about making an appointment in a few months time and he just said "why do i wanna go to the doctors i got you pregnant before didnt i, your the one with the problem" but im going to let that slide because i dont think (hope) he meant it in the way it sounded.

ammy i hope you have lots of fun times ahead of you planning your wedding..dont be a stranger though!

ready your evening sounds lurvely!

xx

iwillbepgbydec07 · 03/02/2007 15:04

sorry city just seen your thread...2 weeks time

cityangel · 03/02/2007 15:26

Hey I will be thanks for your and Ready's support. Dps and dhs can be very annoying but I think letting things slide to avoid a row is a good tactic and one I should learn from!

Going to doctors on the 16th. Will keep you posted. Have been going to an accupunturist that is trying to get my cycles shorter and lp longer She also does reflexology so I might try that.

I have been trying for the same time as you Ready and even though its 'only six months' it feels like much longer. Expecially with long cycles you get less options to try. I just get this feeling of if it could happen it would have done already.

You guys should plan cosy valentines nights in for your peak time! If you OV earlier than I do that is!

Dh is talking to me now and watching the football so there's hope yet. We're going to the theatre tonight so fingers crossed.

iwillbepgbydec07 · 03/02/2007 19:30

city what are you going to see?
we have a new theatre opening up 5 min walk from where i live in april...i cannot wait! first show is jospeh and the technicolour dreamcoat!

i have been reading your other thread and i think after this next cycle i shall be booking in with my doc. with or without dp

if you guys have been trying for 6 months...is that from june?

i have been ttc since june but am on my 9th cycle..shows how annoyingly short they are!

gillian1973 · 03/02/2007 20:43

I'm joining you too! CD2 today. I am considering buying ovulation sticks and see how it goes. I try to keep an eye on cm but it can be a bit hit and miss and when I conceived last summer it sort of was after the middle of the cycle to I think I am ovulating later than I originally thought.

Feeling low too as I have had a lot of feelings and grief about the miscarriage in Oct coming back as MIL is here this weekend. sigh!

Hello, I may be feb or march, prob March as I now have no idea where in my cycle I am. So hello and good luck from me!

cityangel · 04/02/2007 23:24

Hey Iwillbe lets just say I went to see a 1930s show at the Savoy theatre and I wouldn't recommend it. They had a real sound issue where the voices sounded underwater and could be barely heard or understood over the orchestra and the theatre facilities left a lot to be desired.

First time I've been to the theatre in over a year.... lets just say the christmas gift £60 tickets could have been a lot better spent else where and my parents were very disappointed

personal question to take or leave .. what do you reckon to the profiles as an addition to MN. I used to live in Herts not far from you...part of me really likes to learn more about people and respect their privacy and another part is frustrated that we can't just meet for a lunch/coffee/beer. Although can you imagine MNers discussing CM over coffee!?

Back to the drawing board... We've been trying since July. I don't want to jump the gun with the doctors I'd just like to have an opening discussion and at some point sperm tests are going to need to form part of our picture.

At the end of the day my personal [tough] opinion is that dh and I are in it together. If he's not even prepared to go the doctors initially etc. What's he going to be like during pregnancy, birth, kids, accidents etc.

Men get very scared very quickly particularly over 'womens things' We have some friends/ family with kids who have gone through some very tough times so early conversations with the doctor for ttc'ers are tough but good training in the scheme of things.

Difficult nonetheless...I hope you enjoy your theatre trip more than ours!

scorpio1 · 05/02/2007 10:04

hey everybody, im new to the ttc boards. i had my coil out recently, am now on cd2. just given up smoking as well.......arrrgghhh!

trying to conceive child number 3-and cant wait!

iwillbepgbydec07 · 05/02/2007 10:28

welcome to the new comers!! babydust to all xxx

city angel your night sounds very dissapointing! couldnt you have complained?!
i totally agree with you on the doctors front - you are in it together. i know my dp is behind me 100% but he just doesnt like t he doctors and i think probably he is worried about finding somthing wrong so prefers the comfort of the "unknown" plus he doesnt even have a doctor!! i keep nagging him to register at mine.

i am a sucker for reading profiles (nosey emotion) would be great i think for a ttc'ers coffe meeting in the future. trouble is everyone lives in such random areas would have to think of a neutral place for everyone to gather.
and yes cm talks would certainly get a few people

plummymummy · 05/02/2007 13:09

Af on her merry way so I have come to join you all. Hello

Ambi · 05/02/2007 13:14

Hello, Guess I'd better come and join too thanx to long cycle dates!! CD15, ttc no1. Not so clued up about the inner workings of my body, but have learnt so much from you all.

Ready · 05/02/2007 14:44

Hey all. CD3 here. Period pains but other than that feeling optimistic (what's new huh!)

Cityangel, sorry that the show was a bit of a let down. I would definitely meet up for a coffee with you, if I wasn't hundreds of miles away!! LOL at talking about CM over lunch though!!

Iwillbepgbydec07, I a totally with you and Cityangel, I love the profiles. I get really frustrated though when someone doesn't have one cos then i can't be nosy. tee hee.

Gillian1973, sorry that you have had to become a madhatter/marchhare. fingers crossed for you this cycle!!

Scorpio1, well done on giving up smoking!! Good luck and welcome.

Also welcome to loopymumsy, greenblock, plummymummy and ambi... good luck all.

scorpio1 · 05/02/2007 15:28
