Hugh enjoys ISW and his love affair with Doreen. He watches out for skittle tits and weepyitis. Mrs Arseholey Fucknut (Af) shows up when you least want her but brings wine and soft cheese as a consolation prize.

We don't have rules as such but expect to be talked down from the ledge with kind and well meaning but firm words if you get too hysterical. But most importantly don't convince yourself you're pregnant in the tww That is paramount! It messes with your head and makes you crazy crazier

We don't get a lot of baby dust in these here parts. We want a fanny full of determined Doreen, not unicorn farts and gnome tears with extra sparkle. We've been going a while now so the novelty has somewhat worn off and we're slightly battle scarred and bruised in the cervix area.

Post your stats and add your dates. A more lovely, supportive group of ladies you couldn't wish to meet. We've got a few grads sticking around I won't leave and no question is too daft. We have opk experts, cervical mucus management teams and symptom spotters extraudinaire!

peaches it was 3 and a bit weeks from bleeding stopping to bleeding starting again. My miscarriage lasted a few days between me having the medical management and it actually coming away, so using those dates my 'period' actually came roughly on time- 32ish days for me.

I know exactly how you feel- the waiting seems endless! I hope you get a clear sign soon that things are happening as they should Smile

marmitetoast1 · 29/05/2016 12:33

I decided to just go for the folic acid (much cheaper!) plus making sure eating lots of variety of fruit and veg. Once they run out if still TTC though will prob give the fancy preconception ones a go!
Allotment sounds great kwick we've been doing lots of gardening yesterday and today it's lovely an sunny! Have got lots of herbs plus some wild strawberries and giving tomatoes a go for the first time this year! It's so satisfying isn't it?!

Thanks Jem, hopefully cycle will be much the same this time so should know where I stand! Still getting used to these horrendous cramps, so much worse than periods on the pill!

Hope everyone's having a lovely and relaxing weekend!

SuchaJem · 29/05/2016 13:15

5tar I've added you on. Fx for you getting a sticky little bean back in place.

Bluebird eeeek a puppy that's so exciting Smile what type might you get?

kwick · 30/05/2016 08:38

I am starting week 6 post MC and still no sign of AF... Maybe that is it... Straight into menopause Sad
My heart fills with loss at this thought.

SuchaJem · 30/05/2016 08:41

Oh kwick Sad It could be your cycle taking time to get back to normal after the mc? Keep heart.

Kathrino · 30/05/2016 08:45

Oh kwick, what a bugger. Is there anything that a doc can do other than give you platitudes about being patient etc? Keeping everything crossed that AF makes an appearance soon.

bluebird3 · 30/05/2016 08:55

kwick I'm sure that's not what's happening. Ask your doctor what's going on if it doesn't turn up in the next few days. Hang in there! FlowersFlowers

jem I think I'm going to get a cavapoo or something similar. I need something hypoallergenic and small and fluffy. I've been putting it off as I kept thinking I would be pregnant. It's been 14 months now and no baby so it's time for a fur baby to take my mind off of things. Can't wait for summer hols...9 weeks away.

5tardusty · 30/05/2016 11:26

Oh kwick i'm sure that's not it. Hormones will be all over the place after mc. When are you counting from? Mine was around 6 weeks after first sign of bleeding but i've read lots of stories of people taking a while to get back to normal then having babies.

It's agonising though Flowers

kwick · 30/05/2016 12:08

Should I see my GP or FC consultant?
I am counting from date of surgical management of miscarriage - I had no MC signs at all except no heartbeat on scan at week 8. Feel very sad.
Glad I have day walking along Regents Canal en familie today... Just hope it does not rain.

Kathrino · 30/05/2016 14:11

Kwick, I would personally see your FC consultant but that's because I generally think GPs are useless at anything so specialist (no offence meant to anyone, my SIL is a GP and I know it's a tough job). Also, I live very close to Regents Canal so I will wave and send positive AF thoughts in your direction!

InspectorPenguin · 30/05/2016 15:35

Hi lovely ladies. Looks like AF has arrived so put me down for 2nd July please. The good news is this cycle was 3 days shorter again so I've come down from 38 to 32. Almost back to pre-pill length...

Kwik so sorry to hear you're having a difficult time. I'm sure you're a lonnnng way off from menopause but I know what shitty things this does to your mind. I'm sure your fertility doctor will help put your mind at ease Flowers

Bluebird a dog sounds brilliant. Great way to distract yourself and by the time a baby comes along it will be trained and settled. Lovely!

I hope everyone's had a great bank holiday and we get some more BFPs very soon x

kwick · 30/05/2016 20:39

Thanks katharino :) we had a lovely walk (and nice lunch in Crocker's Folly).

Thanks inspector too. I think if no AF by Thursday I will make an appointment to see GP. If no joy with that then I will see FC consultant - but want to try and avoid £200 consultation fee...

Until then maybe I should adopt white knicker approach Confused

Kathrino · 30/05/2016 20:59

Ooh Crocker's Folly is only 5 mins walk from me but I've never been there, must check it out! Thanks kwick!

5tardusty · 31/05/2016 07:36

kwick definitely go for the white knickers!

Unfortunately it wouldn't surprise me if the GP tells you just to be patient and trust your body (because it's that simple Hmm) but i wonder if they are able to rule out menopause?

bluebird3 · 31/05/2016 14:06

Let us know how the gp visit goes kwick.

Last month I had day 3 and day 21 bloods done. Day 3 came back fine but day 21 was inconclusive (which is the one which says if you ovulated). I have to repeat them both so had day 3 last Friday. Now stuck waiting for day 21 to roll around again. In the mean time will have DILRW. Then followed by 'not doing it at all week' as we're both exhausted by the effort and can't be bothered. Anyone else have that...2 weeks of dtd followed by 2 weeks of nothing?

Is anyone testing soon? Would be nice to see our first June bfp!

Peaches8Posies · 31/05/2016 17:50

Sun is definitely shining today, hope everyones had a nice day Smile

bluebird fx you get your results this time round, it's nerve racking enough without having to repeat things.

kwick I read some miscarriage info that did say it takes an average of 6 wks for your body to get back to 'normal'. Iv read some saying sorter, some longer. It's a pain in the ass not knowing!

I tried my version of white knickers today, cream undies & sKirt on, no luck lol?

KatOnATinRo0f · 31/05/2016 17:54

Hey ladies ;) just me checking in!
How is everyone doing today?
Is it raining like it's October where you guys all are? Feeling very un-summery today Envy

SuchaJem · 31/05/2016 18:25

Sorry AF got your inspector, good news on your cycle length though.

bluebird we tend to have a week of intense sex and hardly any rest of cycle. Not ideal but can't seem to keep it up throughout. Next up to test are pigsbum kathrino and skylucy - fx for you all.

Hi kat the weather is shite for me too, chucked it down most of the day. Are you TWW ing?

I have taken these learnings from the Fertility Friday podcast;

Take probiotics - apparently gut health is important?
Eat the good saturated fats (butter, whole milk, virgin olive oil)
Avoid trans fats / processed foods altogether
Swap out cosmetics with toxins in (not sure which toxins though)
Reduce / avoid alcohol and caffeine
Swap tampons / sanitary towels for natural / none toxic / organic alternatives

I do some of these but not sure about cosmetics sounds like hard work when you take into account shampoo, shower gel, moisturiser, deodorant, make up etc. Can't afford to swap all that!

I also don't take probiotics Confused never heard this one before.

Peaches8Posies · 31/05/2016 18:35

jem your gut bacteria effects every part of your health and really importantly your hormones too. Learned about this the hard way Sad

Our weather has been lovely in Glasgow (here's the city centre today). It's usually the other way around with us being landed with the rain and down south lovely and sunny. Hopefully you guys get some sun soon Smile

Pugmummy87 · 31/05/2016 18:44

Kwick I hope AF turns up soon. You can have mine if you want. I had 2 days of light bleeding, followed by brown spotting on Sunday follower by heavier bleeding and cramps yesterday and bloody niagra falls today. WTF? Now I'm wondering if I should count CD1 from yesterday rather than Friday.

DH and I went to Legoland yesterday. We had great fun, but I'm pretty sure we were the only people there that didn't have a kid with them lol!

Pugmummy87 · 31/05/2016 18:46

We also had torrential rain today. Today was not a good day to be doing house visits!

HankPeach · 31/05/2016 18:48

Ha! Nice learnings Suchagem. I found the toxin bit quite interesting. lots of cosmetics contain chemicals that mimic estrogen, which can lead to estrogen build up and dominance. Symptoms we typically associate with proestrogen deficiency can also be driven by too much estrogen. Which basically clears nothing up for anyone but is, maybe, a useful reminder not to fixate on there being a single specific problem and instead focus on better understanding the intricacies of our own cycles.

bluebird totally - I actually think it frees up time and energy to have sex for fun which is really important to me. If I did it every other day it'd be a disaster.

HankPeach · 31/05/2016 18:49

Also such hope you had smashing time at GP wedding. Sounds amazing!

Kathrino · 31/05/2016 19:09

What* a pain to have to repeat your bloods bluebird* but FX this lot give you answers.

Ha, I tried the same today peaches re knickers. I love how I used to just have period knickers and non-period knickers but now I have all sorts of different categories - dark because that shows EWCM the best, light when I'm anxiously watching for implementation bleeding, best knickers for when I want to trick AF into coming. So bloody complicated!

Hi Kat! Bloody miserable here today. Stupid English summer.

Jem, the probiotics one is new to me too although I know it's supposed to be good for overall health. I might investigate further for my next cycle.

Kathrino · 31/05/2016 19:10

That message looked totally fine on my fine, where did all the random bold come from?! Sorry!
