Hugh enjoys ISW and his love affair with Doreen. He watches out for skittle tits and weepyitis. Mrs Arseholey Fucknut (Af) shows up when you least want her but brings wine and soft cheese as a consolation prize.

We don't have rules as such but expect to be talked down from the ledge with kind and well meaning but firm words if you get too hysterical. But most importantly don't convince yourself you're pregnant in the tww That is paramount! It messes with your head and makes you crazy crazier

We don't get a lot of baby dust in these here parts. We want a fanny full of determined Doreen, not unicorn farts and gnome tears with extra sparkle. We've been going a while now so the novelty has somewhat worn off and we're slightly battle scarred and bruised in the cervix area.

Post your stats and add your dates. A more lovely, supportive group of ladies you couldn't wish to meet. We've got a few grads sticking around I won't leave and no question is too daft. We have opk experts, cervical mucus management teams and symptom spotters extraudinaire!

Sorry pug, hope you're alright xx

Day 8 today, that's come around quick. Guess I should start up the DTD Hmm

Rosey135 · 27/05/2016 08:29

Funny how the first half of the cycle can come around so quick and the ttw wait feels like forever!!

SuchaJem · 27/05/2016 08:47

So true rosey

Pigsbum · 27/05/2016 09:03

Thanks bluebird - it's 10 today...! I am keeping my fingers crossed Smile

marmitetoast1 · 27/05/2016 12:55

Have just nipped out to boots on my lunch and took advantage of the bogof on FRERs! Was v aware I was just around the corner from work and in a queue full of office workers buying meal deals haha. They are burning a hole in my bag now.....

SuchaJem · 27/05/2016 13:51

Haha marmite I did exactly the same BlushBlush so paranoid!

Moose - see what you mean about the luminous pee Shock

marmitetoast1 · 27/05/2016 16:51

Ha, tried to play it cool but felt like a sweaty sneaky teenager!!

Going to poas with fmu tomorrow if still no AF. Have realised that the clearblue i used a few days ago was only actually 25 sensitivity, thought it was 10...
Although, I have periody cramps again at the moment. Maybe they finally actually mean it this time.

StarkyTheDirewolf · 27/05/2016 17:41

CB digi aren't sensitive at all. My recommendation is the b&m 2 for £1.49. I think they're a 10iu. They also do the cheap ic's 3 for a £1.

marmite I had af cramps the whole way through my tww and still occasionally get them now. It's like the boobs, don't trust them!

marmitetoast1 · 27/05/2016 19:09

starky gaaah did you?! I've had them on and off for over two weeks now no idea what's going on! Each time I've been convicted AF about to start. Will see what happens tomorrow.

kwick · 27/05/2016 19:38

Ooooo marmite colouring books is my new thing... My SIL got me some from charity shop she volunteers in Grin

pug Flowers

sucha I get bright yellow wee-wee, probably from seven seas supplement but I DO NOT CARE as packaging is purple which is my fav colour

What us b&m bargains? Have only poundlamd near me Sad

Still no sign of af, week 5 complete... This is agony AngryAngryAngryAngry

Mooseville · 27/05/2016 23:07

Oh kwick only time I'll ever say this, but hurry up AF.

Think I've passed my assessment, in true style they decided to not inform us of our results until after bank holiday (I don't want to out myself too much but, you know, it's quite important for progressing within chosen career path - you'd think they could manage a quick yes/no phonecall) I know someone who was assessing who gave me the tiniest of nods so I'm breathing slightly easier until Tuesday. I have celebrated with Prosseco and Aldi lamb burgers!! If it's not the right result come Tues, at least I enjoyed tonight - and a week of stress and forgetting about TTC means it's almost rabbit week!!!

marmitetoast1 · 27/05/2016 23:25

Aaaaand the coy little minx has finally arrived. Which means a 36 day cycle (by about half an hour!). Looking forward to getting cracking on cycle 2. I'm guessing I base calculations around a presumed another 36 day cycle?! So I guess I'll be testing very end of June/start of July (seems a long time!)

Really hope yours come soon Kwick, I'm sure it will. So much easier said that done but I think I got so pissed off with it last night that I finally managed to forget about it a bit more today which maybe helped, or may have been a total coincidence! Or maybe it was the 'calming' colouring!

Glad the assessment seems to have gone well Moose, I'm sure you will have passed! Lamb burgers and prosecco sounds perfect way to celebrate. We're making lamb burgers for tea tomorrow Grin

SkyLucy · 28/05/2016 09:52

Morning all, just caught up - so sorry for all those who've been visited by AF, bank holiday treats are definitely in order!

Marmite, I just googled 'B&M' coz I'd never heard of it either, turns out there are loads in towns near me! Might have to get DH to drive me to one.... (and at some point, learn to drive Blush!)

Hi Hank, welcome back, sorry to hear you've been struggling a bit with TTC stress. I find it helps to know you have TTC buddies - I'm also 32 and in cycle 5, hello!

Mightily relieved to hear that Pregnacare has given loads of you luminous wee....was a bit taken aback myself!! It seems Wellman Conception doesn't have the same effect on men, according to DH (although he might actually be spitting them out in disgust...he's ridiculously healthy/athletic and "doesn't believe in supplements". Me, I'll take anything!)

kwick · 28/05/2016 09:52

Arrived back to a request of payment of £600 from FC as they forgot to charge for "Assisted Hatching" from first IVF cycle...You see money goes through my fingers like sand...
Still no sign of AF Angry

marmitetoast1 · 28/05/2016 14:48

Awh Kwick sounds like a shitty morning. BrewCake hope your day has picked up.

SkyLucy I know the feeling, I am 're-learning' to drive at the moment, I hate it! Have really lost my confidence with it after not driving in so long! TTC was the push I needed to get behind the wheel again but it seems to be slow going...

Peaches8Posies · 28/05/2016 19:08

Hope everyones having a nice day.

Really enjoyed my day yesterday. Shopped all afternoon, had diner and drinks then more drinks Grin and then a lie in and lazy morning this morning. OH treated me to 2 new pairs of shoes and some nice new summer jammies. Not done a day like that, just us, since the weekend near valentines so very over due. We swore we would make time once a month to do something like this but it's quite scary how quickly time flies and other things take priority.

kwick Hope your day has picked up.

moose sounds like you done well, fx.

Is anyone due to test? Will we finish May with any more bfp's, if not then fx June is the lucky month we want girls Grin

kwick · 28/05/2016 20:04

Sorry if I gave impression I was upset - the money thing I just take on the chin now.

I have had a lovely day - more allotment digging; we really are making progress. The weather was lovely.

Wonderful SIL has just squeezed out my blackheads and tied thread around my skin tags. I am feeling pampered Grin

Pugmummy87 · 28/05/2016 22:51

Thanks bluebird, jem and kwick. I'm feeling ok as i knew it was coming after zero symptoms and a bfn.
AF again is very light though. This is about the 3rd cycle where it's been light. Not even had any cramps. Weird.

SW is so far going well.

marmite glad that AF has finally shown up for you. Fx yours turns up very soon Kwick (can't believe i'm saying this on here lol).

Peaches that sounds a lovely day.

Mooseville · 29/05/2016 01:14

Hello all,
Quiet thread, hope this is due to everyone enjoying the bank holiday weekend, de-stressing and not worrying about TTC as much as they can.

On a personal note, bloody vitamins, to begin with we were both taking the his/her conception vitamins but they're so expensive. I remember daily whereas he's more likely to forget so takes probable every other. If I buy just for me, I can get them for under a fiver. But add a male to the mix and they're over £15! A small price to pay for a healthy baby, but I swear there's no lost difference in ingredients other than a bit of ginseng in his????! However, he wants to take them (which contradicts his reluctance to DTD when it bloody matters - not that I'm holding any grudges from last month!!) lol
My main gripe being is, other than the folic acid, do they actually DO anything????

kwick · 29/05/2016 08:56

moose I hear you on the supplements - I spend a small fortune as I also take daily vitamin C, vitamin D, Coq10, DHEA, vitamin B and vitamin E. Also as my BMI is over 30 I take the Seven Seas trying for a baby plus an additional 5mg of folic acid - which had to be prescribed. I feel it all helps - and I feel like I am doing something. I do not feel like any of it is snake oil - all of it has been recommened (mainly in the it starts with the egg book). But I have no coue about magic potion supplememts, sorry!

Very sore again after allotmenteering once more - but we are making progress and I really enjoyed it yesterday. I guess if I added some physical activity (other than racing through airports and train stations) to my week I might actually get fit. Hmm

Hope everyone is enjoying the long weekend!

SuchaJem · 29/05/2016 09:13

Sorry about AF marmite, I'll put you down for end of June.

Peaches the only person left in May is neonninja but I haven't seen her in a while.

June is looking very busy so hopefully we will get some grads.

Moose I started out on just folic acid and now at month 6 am on Pregnacare preconception supplements plus epo and got DH on vit c plus zinc. I think it can't hurt but don't want to anything more in equally. I don't want to overload on these things, or go bankrupt!

5tardusty · 29/05/2016 09:49

Moose i'm on folic acid, evening primrose oil and i also have a berocca every day. Not sure if it does anything but i was having one a day the month i concieved just for general healthy reasons so i felt like i should keep it up! The EPO is new for me so no idea if it's having any effect.

cd7- first 'period' after mc i hope. Very light and brown (sorry tmi) so i'm still not convinced that i'll ovulate. Didn't after mc, but apparently that's common.

On top of vits mentioned, i'm temping, daily opking and using preseed. Oh and DtD- i've heard people say that works too Smile

sucha please can you put me down for the end of june also? Come on Ovaries- you remember how this works! Wink

Peaches8Posies · 29/05/2016 10:21

Morning Smile

moose was going about to type exact same thing about thread being quiet, great minds haha

kwick I would love a wee veg patch! My family always ran allotments right up until my mums generation then it just died out. Shame, because I remember getting to pick at lovely fresh fruit and veg while running around playing. Much healthier than sweets and computers nowadays!

such hopefully we get a lovely June run of bfp's then, definitely due it, especially those waiting long time.

5tar hopefully it's your af and your getting back to normal. How long has it been since you stopped bleeding from your loss if you don't mind me asking? I'm now 3 wks plus and hoping it won't be too much longer Sad

As for vitamins I'm taking vit b complex, omega 3, and I'm finishing off the vitamins I was taking while pregnant which are folic acid vitamin d and something else I can't remember Confused it does get expensive though. Other half takes a multivitamin always has and cod liver oil. Once our stuff is finished I'll have a look at what pre pregnancy vits are on offer.

bluebird3 · 29/05/2016 10:57

Morning everyone. Not up to mug here. We're off on holiday tomorrow for half term. I'm currently cd5 so hoping af finishes soon so as not to ruin holiday.

Am focusing on getting a puppy in summer hols instead of a baby, since that doesn't seem to be happening anytime soon. Just need to organise someone to look after puppy whilst at work.

Kathrino · 29/05/2016 11:03

Morning all. DH has been away all weekend on a friend's stag do so I've been having a lovely weekend so far of watching crap TV and eating all my favourite foods.

I'm only taking folic acid but now I'm worried I should be taking more! I'm not very good at remembering to take vitamins etc but I suppose after 6 months of nothing, it can't hurt.

I think I'm now 10 DPO and not even tempted to test. Have had cramps on and off which is exactly the same as last month and AF appeared in all its glory bang on time so am pretty sure exactly the same will happen this month.
