Hugh enjoys ISW and his love affair with Doreen. He watches out for skittle tits and weepyitis. Mrs Arseholey Fucknut (Af) shows up when you least want her but brings wine and soft cheese as a consolation prize.

We don't have rules as such but expect to be talked down from the ledge with kind and well meaning but firm words if you get too hysterical. But most importantly don't convince yourself you're pregnant in the tww That is paramount! It messes with your head and makes you crazy crazier

We don't get a lot of baby dust in these here parts. We want a fanny full of determined Doreen, not unicorn farts and gnome tears with extra sparkle. We've been going a while now so the novelty has somewhat worn off and we're slightly battle scarred and bruised in the cervix area.

Post your stats and add your dates. A more lovely, supportive group of ladies you couldn't wish to meet. We've got a few grads sticking around I won't leave and no question is too daft. We have opk experts, cervical mucus management teams and symptom spotters extraudinaire!

Oh no kav!!! I was sure it was your month. Still hope until af arrives...could be a fluke temp?

Welcome newbies. Hope everyone is having a nice weekend.

For those that saw my post last week about my friends starting a business without me... I'm still really upset and have uncovered more deception. For example they were both off sick on a day where they was a local starting your own practice course... I need to tell them I found out as I feel the friendship is over, but I'm major stressing about it. Anyone have any advice?

It's a tough one bluebird - I don't know how to advise you here other than to say it does sound like the both of them aren't worth so much stress. Try to keep calm and go about your usual daily business - you haven't done anything to be ashamed of after all!

I hate confrontation personally and like you would feel very uncomfortable about how to broach this. I guess I'd just hope they would have the decency to actually talk to you properly and not keep sneaking around. Flowers

HepKestrel · 22/05/2016 09:31

kav it could just be a single errant reading.

kwick congrats for your bfn! Hopefully this means you are closer to another try.

Hello all newbies! ( my RL friends and family would all laugh at anyone calling me normal, but this is a lovely group that welcomes rants, tmi, and stupid questions -anything which helps us de-stress)

Kwick709 · 22/05/2016 09:45

Welcome monkey!!! And sorry if I missed any other newbies: welcome one and all!

blue I tell you: you should get an office voodoo kit! Sometimes the treachery and deception of others amazes me. I hope you are taling comfort from the fact you are much more ethical and all round nice person than they are.

5stardusty how many weeks have you been waiting for AF? I am just trying to get a sense of what is normal in these awful situations.

So can barely walk after allotment digging yesterday... Jeez I am so unfit! Am back there again today but for an association meeting.

Still no sign of af so have deployed white knickers Confused

Never joined a TTC site or thread before but I'm planning on not being here for long. This is tearing my marriage apart so we've agreed (well, I proposed, then he agreed) that if I'm not pregnant by the end of this year, we'll draw a line under it for good and move on with our other life plans.

Pigsbum · 22/05/2016 10:26

Thanks for all the welcomes! Smile
According to Ovia (and a different app I used to use when I was actively avoiding pregnancy) I am ovulating today...but according to an opk I am absolutely not...which do you trust?

5tardusty · 22/05/2016 10:39

pigsbum personally i trust the opks but any dtd won't hurt!

StarkyTheDirewolf · 22/05/2016 10:39

pig ovia is a tempestuous bitch. Don't trust ovia for anything other 4 hand tracking your period and mood swings. It's based on a standard algorithm and most bodies don't ovulate like that. Trust the opk's. They are picking up the LH (lutenizing hormone) which is released prior to ovulation.

However, if you are expecting to ovulate at some point in the next week, aim to dtd at least every other day. It means that sperm will be ready and waiting when your egg is released. I'm convinced that's what did it for us. Sperm can live up to 5 days inside your body but it can take it 12 hours to actually get to the place it needs to be to meet the egg. Opk's also only indicate a surge of lh, so you can ovulate up to 3 days after your positive opk. And it can take 12-24 hours for your egg to actually be ready for the sperm to fertilise. It's not an exact science by any means. But I bloody loved opk's. They were handy, until we realised my Dh could identify me about to ovulate by smell!

The great sperm race is a facinated programme to watch if you haven't seen it already. I'll link it.

Welcome newbies!

Starky - 'by SMELL'?!?! Shock

Pigsbum · 22/05/2016 10:56

Yeh I thought that might be the case but was kind of hoping the opk might be wrong as I just want to GET ON WITH IT Grin

Smell...??

StarkyTheDirewolf · 22/05/2016 11:02

by smell! He said it a few times, I smelled differently, more sweet generally but that my pudendum was definetly calling him to imptegnate! We even did an experiment, I did opk's and didn't tell him when I was getting lh surge, and he told me I was about to ovulate.

And then the cycle after I didn't do opk's except for when he told me I smelled like I was ovulating and it was a blazing positive. He says I smell different again being pregnant. But it's even more of a sweet smell now. Different to ovulation smell. He's an odd sausage!

pig start dtd now, no harm in going before the starting gun! If anything it's a good thing!

Days to catch up on!! Love the boobies in the title Stark!

Ni, 33, on cycle #7 got BFP. Now 6+2 with blueberry-sized little thing. Crossing fingers it stays. Giving me baby hangovers the last few days! Ginger products, water crackers, glucose sweets are all my friends now! 1 more week of work to struggle through, then 2 week hol for my bday 😀

Oh Kav I'm sorry, the thirst sounded promising. Did you temp really early? That could give a lower reading. Or maybe something stuck briefly...I think that happened to me the month before my BFP. Take your coenzyme Q10 and fingers crossed that sticky bean is just around the corner xx

Moose I'm super jealous of your puppy time!!

Damn Jem, sorry to hear you're out. Eat all the pate, have a good cry...whatever helps xxxx

Stark that is a big bouncing babycub in there!!! So glad everything went well for you! That's lovely that neighbour is upduffed too!

Thanks for that info Kwick. Amazing what crap is in all our products! Ha! That's funny you found someone who will use them...still can't be good for her though!

Wow Theorchard that is so confusing! Glad you have the blood test lined up! Crossing fingers that it's some wacky issue which is still good news!

Welcome newbies...You're in the right place!!

Justhere that is one long slog you've been through! Have you guys had all the tests? Have you had any interventions?

bluebird3 · 22/05/2016 11:28

Thanks for the support kav and kwick Flowers

kwick feels weird wishing you a speedy af, but in this case I do! White pants should do it. And ditto for the soreness post gardening! It makes you realise how out of touch we are with our hunter/gatherer ancestors who spent ages gardening to be able to eat! I on the other hand will often order a pizza because I'm too lazy to move from the sofa to cook for myself...

starky I do miss the updates of your dh sense of smell! Glad everything is going well and loved the pic. Have fun telling all your friends and family over the next few weeks. FlowersStarFlowersStarFlowers

bluebird3 · 22/05/2016 11:31

Another don't trust the boobs moment...Last month mine were on fire this time in my cycle (day 24)...this month - nothing. Not even a twinge. And this isn't the first time. Sigh...

VioletVaccine · 22/05/2016 12:28

Hello,

Please can I join you all on this thread? Smile

I'm almost 3years TTC, and virtual baby dust makes me itch.

Errm, where can I start?

Violet
Age 32
Cycle: I'm not sure 26

Secondary Infertility, unexplained as all tests are clear and both working fine, but it's just not happening!

Hi to everyone Smile

HepKestrel · 22/05/2016 12:32

dry ice "favourite brand of weird" - love that!

bluebird boobs are agents of the witch, designed only to truly confuse us.

HepKestrel · 22/05/2016 12:38

Welcome violet!

Not sure what my tactics are for this cycle. I'll epo and opk, but suspect work trips are gonna bugger things up again. So will try to take Zen attitude.

SuchaJem · 22/05/2016 12:48

Welcome on board to new joiners Smile if you would like to join the testing list let me know when your period is due.

Sorry about AF moose

snow I'm a big game of thrones fan! Fx for you testing

Hugs kav you're not out until your out.

bluebird so sorry they've hurt you like this Sad I think I'd have to say something or it would just whirl around my head. I think just be honest and straight with them, and let them know how it has made you feel.

VioletVaccine · 22/05/2016 12:53

Thanks Hep!

I used N-acetyl Cysteine and Agnus Castus for a year but without any joy.
I'm currently trying Soy Isoflavones, but not going to do anything differently this cycle. OPK don't work for me really due to irregular AF, plus the amount of time we've been TTC means they become quite expensive to use effectively.
Obviously will still be trying but not agonising this month that's the plan anyway.

Will be starting Clomid on my next cycle (cycle 27 for God's sake Sad) though, so staying optimistic for that Smile

Feefeefs · 22/05/2016 13:03

That is a well timed holiday ni!

I agree with starky I think more DTD helps I'm sure it's what worked out month too every other day until day 10 then every day for 10 days then 2-3 per week. It helped that we were on holidays through not sure we'd have managed it otherwise

Peaches8Posies · 22/05/2016 13:07

Heellloooo newbies Smile welcome to the madness.....

Peaches, 36 Sad graduated but back after my loss at 12 wks. Hoping for another bfp with a healthy sticky bean. However need af (the bitch!) to make an appearance before I can do that. Want to know we're I am starting from. I've had a fair lot of cm this week and now a bit of cramp (as well as the pre af mild inner rage) so I'm hoping she's not far off. 5tar kwick how long has she been a miss with you guys?

jem kav Flowers hope you both feel more yourselves soon. This is a hard game we are playing.

bluebird i would ask if you could grab a word with them. Tell them you thought you were all friends and their actions have hurt you. Leave it at that. If they are decent they will explain why they have cut you out. If they don't feel bad about it, well screw them. As I said they don't sound like good friends anyway. Better off without them.

Lovely scan stark hope your enjoying thing now.

I'm off to make a cuppa and relax (and eat a big piece of chocolate Blush)

Pigsbum · 22/05/2016 13:34

Hi SuchaJem, according to this app in due 4th June and am generally regularly between 26-28 days...

kwick · 22/05/2016 13:45

Welcome violet!!!

Have run out of coq10 - more ordered but will not have until next saturday Sad

peaches think this is week 4 since MC - so really hope af comes in the next few days. Note to self: remember to pack towels this time for work trip.
