Hugh enjoys ISW and his love affair with Doreen. He watches out for skittle tits and weepyitis. Mrs Arseholey Fucknut (Af) shows up when you least want her but brings wine and soft cheese as a consolation prize.

We don't have rules as such but expect to be talked down from the ledge with kind and well meaning but firm words if you get too hysterical. But most importantly don't convince yourself you're pregnant in the tww That is paramount! It messes with your head and makes you crazy crazier

We don't get a lot of baby dust in these here parts. We want a fanny full of determined Doreen, not unicorn farts and gnome tears with extra sparkle. We've been going a while now so the novelty has somewhat worn off and we're slightly battle scarred and bruised in the cervix area.

Post your stats and add your dates. A more lovely, supportive group of ladies you couldn't wish to meet. We've got a few grads sticking around I won't leave and no question is too daft. We have opk experts, cervical mucus management teams and symptom spotters extraudinaire!

Oh Kav, sorry to hear you're so down. I am constantly amazed by how bloody stressful this all is - I'm on cycle 5 like you, which I know isn't very long, but it's taking its toll! Hope your day improves - a week away sounds ace Smile

Interested by Ema's comment about job-hunting being the equivalent of white knickers! My job is ridic at the moment and I'm sure the stress isn't helping babymaking (I got made redundant two weeks ago, then made unredundant the following week. You can't make it up). I'd love a new job, or just a break, but am terrified I'd get upduffed the minute I hand in my resignation! But then, in the broad scheme of things, isn't that what I want?!

Sigh. Treats to everyone on this grey (in London anyway) morning Cake Chocolate Biscuit

LovelyFishy · 25/05/2016 09:45

Sorry to hear that Kav, it all sounded so promising! This can be a very cruel game we play. Fx that this still isn't AF and sending love your way! Flowers In either scenario I think this calls for cake.

LovelyFishy · 25/05/2016 09:50

Sky redundant then unredundant?! That's the first I've ever heard!! They obviously suck! Sound about the same as my managers though. Maybe new job is like white knickers? Take it and you're sure to get upduffed!

I'm currently browsing new jobs but internally, so completely different type of job, new managers, different building, etc. It sounds exciting but do I want so much new if I'm (hopefully) not long off having a family?

nicky883 · 25/05/2016 09:51

I undestand how you feel kava if u are temping etc each month you feel that you do everything right but realistically you still have 20 % chance of concieving
See the attached nutrition for cycle i will be ysing this from now on i ll leport on the results

I think it's the 20% odds that really knocked me when i first heard that. The realisation that I wasn't a teenager any more who according to our sex ed would only need to look at a boy to get pregnant!

It's also the fear of the unknown that seems to niggle at me daily -what if there's a problem with one or both of us meaning each month is a waste of time anyway :-(

nicky883 · 25/05/2016 11:04

Wingingit that was i was thinking too but i am trying to force myself to be positive if you havent been trying for more than a year there is no reason to think there is something "wrong" with you unless of course you have other symptoms that make you think that like missed periods etc .
I want to roll my eyes whenever someone says"relax and it will happen" but there is a truth to it making it happen though its a lot harder !

I am trying to focus on myself making myself feel betrer through better nutrition and excersise and i am hoping this will
Make my body more welcoming to conception

WingingIt83 · 25/05/2016 11:40

Exactly Nicky

PMA PMA! .....I'm trying anyway!

I'm the same with my smear test, I convince myself I'm going to get an abnormal result but then don't Hmm

WingingIt83 · 25/05/2016 11:52

nicky is follicular phase everything up until you get LH serge on opk would you say? I'm two days away from FW?

nicky883 · 25/05/2016 12:57

Folicular phase is the time between the rnd of your period and before u get the lh surge or the ewcm. This is when the FSH hormone is released

kwick · 25/05/2016 15:55

Welcome all newbies!

What is my version of DILRW? HSSUMFW? Having speculum shoved up my fanjo week? Okay it is not repeatedly (although internal scans are) but I can tell you DILRW sounds a lot more fun!

kwick · 25/05/2016 15:56

nicky the eating plan looks really interesting - where did this come from?

Mooseville · 25/05/2016 16:41

Hope your day has improved kav Sorry to hear the bitch got you....

20%???? Really??? No wonder we're all struggling.... Does explain the difficulty though....
Stressful week at work here, away doing an assessment - which is pass or fail. I am totally competent in passing it, but the nerves just get in the way when you know it's important! Aaaargh.... Hopefully on Friday I can breathe a sigh of relief and hit the Prosecco (whether I've passed or failed!)

nicky883 · 25/05/2016 18:08

There is a book called woman code i just downloaded it on audible it talks about adjusting what you eat to your cycle and how it all depents on hormonal balance if your hormones are off balance then you experience problems and this how to solve these problems through nutrition
It also talks about chemicals in several things that are not good when trying to concieve or in general really i found it very interesting and really informative if you think about it everythinng depends on hormones if younovulate depends on hormones if the egg is implanted depends on hormones so keeping them in sync and balance is obviously very important

nicky883 · 25/05/2016 18:09

What is Dilrw btw ??

MizzisDee · 25/05/2016 18:22

The 20% is mind blowing. It seems crazy when I think of how convinced you are when you're younger that you're only one false move away from an unwanted/unexpected pregnancy yet here we all are deliberately trying and still having to wait for it to happen.

SuchaJem · 25/05/2016 18:30

Kav Sad so sorry AF got you. I feel your pain - cycle 5 ended in AF for me too last week and I hated the world. It's so gutting it stings like hell.

Take care of yourself and wallow if you need to. I did!

Hope you emerge and feel better in a few days xx

SuchaJem · 25/05/2016 18:32

Speculum up fanjo week does not sound fun kwick. I'll remember this when I'm getting sick of fw!

Good luck with your assessment moose that sounds stressful xx

Pugmummy87 · 25/05/2016 19:17

Well its a big fat fucking negative again, temps are on the way down and I've got my usual pre af brown spotting. Cycle 7 looms.
To top it off, DH gave me his cold which meant I couldn't enjoy myself volunteering as much I hoped at the beer fest yesterday because I felt unwell.
My friend posted an article on fb yesterday written by a guy who spoke about he and his wife's struggle with infertility. I have such a huge fear I am infertile thanks to pcos. I almost wonder if I'm putting a block on things.

I just want a baby Sad

Sorry that she got you too Kav

Kathrino · 25/05/2016 19:59

Gah, stupid AF. I'm so sorry that she's got so many of you recently. This whole thing is so shit.

KatOnATinRo0f · 25/05/2016 22:52

I'm out too... :'(
Also just realised I'm away at a conference next weekend which will be CD 9-11 (of a regular 27 day cycle).... That's not very promising, is it??

Flashinthepan · 25/05/2016 23:14

Hello ladies. Sorry to all who've been visited by the bitch, I mean witch. I'm on holiday but have caught up and we have so many newbies! I'll add my stats so I can be on the list as for god knows when. Flash 27, ttc #1. Pregnant on cycle 1 but now back to the start after ectopic diagnosed at nearly 8 weeks and right tube removed. I think I may have ovulated this week due to the frankly unholy amount of ewcm that I have had but cant make use of for 3 months but hoping I might get af in a week or so and get back to some normality. Sending hugs to all those having a rough time.

kwick · 26/05/2016 08:40

pug I have PCOS too and ok I got preggers with IVF - but going this route as sans ready supply of chukka-chukka. So do not despair - it is possible!

DILRW = doing it like rabbits week

Sorry for those that have unwanted afFlowers I would rather like mine to make an appearance!!!

Ok better go and do some work Envy

InspectorPenguin · 26/05/2016 09:13

Hey all, just catching up on the new thread - moving fast with the new recruits!

Hi to everyone who's joined recently, it's nice to have a boost in numbers that will hopefully translate into a crop of BFPs soon.

Flash I'm very sorry to hear about your ectopic, that must have been very stressful indeed. Fingers crossed the fact you conceived quickly the first time will mean it won't take long when you're ready to go again. I hope the next one is much more straightforward for you.

Everyone who's had BFNs, I'm so sorry, it sounds like it's hit harder this month? Flowers

Kav you can tell me to mind my own business, but do you think having a month off temping might help you? If you've been doing it from the start it must be taking its toll in that you are essentially thinking about TTC from the moment you open your eyes. If your cycle is predictable maybe see how it goes just DTD every 2-3 days from CD9/10 (or whatever would work for your cycle)?
Obviously it's not going to magic away TTC from your thoughts but it might just help take some pressure off and free some head space x

Snow I really hope Clomid does the trick for you this month. Really hope you don't suffer too much from any nasty hormonal side effects - or that your DH is understanding at least!

No news to update from me. 35 day cycles are so boring :( I'm in the middle of the TWW and don't have anything going on that remotely suggests I have a seedling in the oven. However, FRER are buy-one-get-one-free in Boots at the moment so I picked up two packs yesterday. I might treat myself to one over the bank holiday weekend just for the hell of it Grin

Oh, and whoever said about the advert for the morning after pill appearing on these pages; yes, I agree! Very weird choice!!

Stats:
Age: 35 (and a half..)
TTC: #1
Cycle: 3
CD: 29 (of predicted 35)

NxxP · 26/05/2016 09:55

I'm in my 2ww too. I think I'm 11-13 dpo this cycle - have been ttc for eight months but still not managed to pin o down. Current battle is trying not to symptom spot or waste money on early tests but it's hard.

Rosey135 · 26/05/2016 10:23

Hi, I'm new to this thread and to the whole thing really.

Age: 26
Ttc #1
Cycle 2
Cd 12 of 24

Just starting out on our journey, I'm not temping or doing much but using ovia and woman log which I have used for ages just to keep track of everything. We have decided to take a relaxed approach but that all went out the window with the first ttw can see myself going crazy already, so glad there are places like this were I can release my crazy rather than unleash it all on my partner.

Good luck everyone, glad to have found you!
