Hugh enjoys ISW and his love affair with Doreen. He watches out for skittle tits and weepyitis. Mrs Arseholey Fucknut (Af) shows up when you least want her but brings wine and soft cheese as a consolation prize.

We don't have rules as such but expect to be talked down from the ledge with kind and well meaning but firm words if you get too hysterical. But most importantly don't convince yourself you're pregnant in the tww That is paramount! It messes with your head and makes you crazy crazier

We don't get a lot of baby dust in these here parts. We want a fanny full of determined Doreen, not unicorn farts and gnome tears with extra sparkle. We've been going a while now so the novelty has somewhat worn off and we're slightly battle scarred and bruised in the cervix area.

Post your stats and add your dates. A more lovely, supportive group of ladies you couldn't wish to meet. We've got a few grads sticking around I won't leave and no question is too daft. We have opk experts, cervical mucus management teams and symptom spotters extraudinaire!

Thanks for all the congrats, so nice to see them, particularly as it's only me and DH in the whole wide real world who know! Had a family dinner for my Ma's birthday last night and got weird looks for sticking to cranberry juice, was tricky not to squeal the news.

Hope you don't mind me popping back BTW - been on a pg thread and posted a few stupidly naive questions, but don't feel I really belong there either...!

Welcome Snarky - can't believe your friend asked that! What is this 'folic acid' of which you speak..? Starky, yep, I'm bloody boiling. I'm at my desk in London - proper end of the world weather here! Bring back summer! Hank - yep, EWCM was a rare beast for me, which is why I jumped on DH when I thought I saw it! Absolutely no 'routing around' for me, I'm hideously squeamish. (This whole preggers/birth thing should be an absolute doddle then Shock).

Mooseville · 08/06/2016 16:12

LOL. Oooh folic acid, you must get back to her and get more details. I'm not sure any of us on here have heard of that one! Hmm

I am completely stealing the giving the DP the fertility app and putting him in charge! I do think the pressure of me just piping up, right now a the time, adds a bit more stress to him when he's already anxious. Maybe this will get him mentally prepared....
This month after him not being in the mood to do it last month at fertile time, this month we had a lot of DTD but most of the time he struggled to finish. He then got pretty upset about it and I had to comfort him, difficult when you're pissed off about it and having to pretend not to be!!! I can understand it must be hard, it's just annoying that for years they've managed with no problems until now it actually means something!!!! Aaargh!!

WingingIt83 · 08/06/2016 16:29

moose we solved that issue near end of my FW by dtd early in the morning where his subconscious was kicking things into action but his brain was too tired to think about the pressure he was under! No idea why it worked but evenings and before bed were hopeless.

SuchaJem · 08/06/2016 16:36

Hello chaps how are you all doing?

Hurrah for the long awaited bfp! Congratulations skylucy SmileStarFlowersHalo wishing you a happy healthy 8/9 months ahead!

I'm on cd 20, 5 DPO. Still on hols, still super anxious Sad not sure if this might be hormone related too.

I've had mega sore boobs from 1 DPO - too early to be pg so assuming just post ovulation hormones too? Don't usually hurt this early, I'm having to wear a soft bra at night, and blocking my 3 year cousin when she jumps on me!

Welcome snarky Smile

Sorry can't shed light on the temping Hank, did you manage to work out what's happening?

Sorry to hear about the DTD problems, I think different times of the day definitely helps us. Straight from getting in from work is a good one.

Who's next to test ? I'll dust off the much neglected list ( Kat would you like it back yet...)

My test date is 12th but have decided not to until at least 15th Hmm

geeup · 08/06/2016 20:05

Hi wingingit - would you mind me asking what you're using to try to extend your luteal phase? Kale, walnuts, anything else? I need all the help I can get... 33 yo, ttc #1 for a year, slight MFI issues maybe, waiting for a lap and dye (for anyone that doesn't know me). Thanks.

geeup · 08/06/2016 20:06

Oh and test day mon 20th. Will prob cave on Father's Day morning (just incase?!?!) though and poas.

Peaches8Posies · 08/06/2016 20:15

Congrats sky Grin

Hopefully that's us on a little run again......

Af has left the building so time to start dtd again, although in this heat it can be a bit of a thought Confused kwick fx crossed for you. Have you booked an appointments yet?

Think my OH is the complete opposite to many of you girls OHs. Mine is literally up for it all the time. It's me who is usually putting the brakes on things. When I got my bfp we literally just went for it the whole month, every other day then around my fertile window every day. When I told him that had passed he was actually relived think for the first time ever I wore him out haha. I think if you girls just keep it fairly regular so it's not really obvious when your peak days are then maybe it would be less of a pressure for your OHs? Men can be strange at times......

sucha interesting symptoms your having. Hope you can enjoy your holiday though, but your right hormones are wicked at times. Im sure playing with a 3 year old will be great practice for you for the future Smile

WingingIt83 · 08/06/2016 20:46

geeup there are various websites but I found this a good source:
nicolejardim.com/lengthen-your-luteal-phase/

As well as trying to fit in some of those foods I'm taking 1000mg vit c, zinc and a b-complex which has 50g b6 and 50g b12 (I take 2 a day).

5tardusty · 08/06/2016 20:54

No idea what is going on with me today. Had a big BBT jump (0.5 degrees) and having very light brown bleeding. Not enough for a pad, just wiping but constant and did start off red. I'm only 4dpo according to FF but i think i'm probably 6dpo going by opks. Still far too early for another period though surely? It only stopped 13 days ago!! I think it's too much and too soon for any kind of implantation bleed though. My resting heart rate is also rising daily and has gone from 55 to 59 over 4days. If it weren't for the bleeding i'd be deffo thinking i am pregnant.

Whatever it is, i hope it makes itself clear pretty soon. I suspect i am still screwed up from the mc though sadly. My fertile signs didn't quite line up nicely and the temp rise was later than expected (hence FF / OPK discrepancy).

Snowdog37 · 08/06/2016 21:24

Hi all! Hope everyone is doing ok? Congrats to sky, it's the first bfp in ages isn't it? Well I had my IUI last week and am now 6dpiui and I have had a bit of pink spotting and mild af cramps all afternoon. Dare I get excited thinking it could be implantation?!?? Or has Clomid messed my body up? I'm about ready to board the crazy train for the last week of the 2ww.

bluebird3 · 08/06/2016 21:35

Oh snowdog yes! I hope it's ib!!! I'm going to join you on the crazy train and hopefully test day will be here before you know it!!!

bluebird3 · 08/06/2016 21:59

hank I temped for a few months before getting bored and giving it up. What day did you get the positive opk? Your temp rise should come a day or two after. The opk is positive when lh signals ovulation will be occurring in the next 12-48 hours (ish). The temp rise only comes after ovulation has already occurred due to the rise of progesterone. This is why if you go off temping alone, by the time you see a rise, it's too late that month. Temping is egged for establishing a pattern and seeing if/when you ovulated but not for trying to time it right that month. At least this is how I understand it. Hope that helps!

bluebird3 · 08/06/2016 22:00

Good...not egged

Wtf autocorrect? Haha

marmitetoast1 · 08/06/2016 22:38

Both sounding promising 5tardusty and snowdog! Fingers crossed!

Still no dtd tonight. DH still feeling rubbish and is in a foul mood to go with it. Ggrr men are so bloody awful at being ill....Angry

geeup · 08/06/2016 22:40

Thanks wingingit! Fertile week over today so luteal phase extension plan go go go!

HankPeach · 09/06/2016 07:36

Ahh thanks bluebird

I'm not using it to temp to time just wanted to confirm if I was ovulating. Shit thing is that I think I've only managed to confirm that I didn't ovulate.

Just gonna keep on trucking though. My temps are rising but it's defo not a shift. 0.1 degree a day basically post O.
Had a moment of thinking temping was pretty ace but I'm already over it. Think I'll do a few months to try and learn more about my cycle but that's then I'm going cruise back Ito blissful ignorance.

Sorry for holiday anxiety sucha you got any sure fire ways to manage it? Outdoors? Meditation? Yogerrrr?

kwick · 09/06/2016 07:50

Best of luck and fx for those on 2ww or twot (two weeks of torture).

News from the front: nothing much to report. Still no af and I am now almost 7 weeks post surgical management of miscarriage. I have a clinic appointment on Monday AM to get more DHEA and then going to GP to get advice on no af, ask if they have back test results on miscarriage, and ask about my cough which has lingered for a long time (may be an allergy?). I hope I do not get GP who told me in Holland natural IVF is when a country girl gets drunk, goes to Amsterdam and sleeps with a stranger. I tell you I am ready to kick some ass if I do... Ninja kwick will appear well I will at least make a formal complaint about any inappropriate comments AngryAngryAngry

SnarkyGorgon · 09/06/2016 08:42

Bloody hell kwick I can't believe your gp said that to you! What is wrong with some people?! I'm so sorry you're having to deal with this nonesense, hopefully you'll be back on track very soon.

Waiting for af to appear, she's due tomorrow if the last few months are anything to go by. Trying to stay far away from the temptation of the pee sticks, can't be dealing with that kind of disappointment

emalady · 09/06/2016 09:34

sky congratulations! So good to see a bfp, just need a few more (hopefully mine!).

nicky 39 is good. Over 30 7 do roughly (7days before af is due) confirms ovulation. Doesn't predict anything more but is definitely a good sign.

In terms of seeing GP they cannot refer until 6 months over 35 or one year if younger but depending on the GP lots will arrange bloods earlier especially if you ask nicely or if you have irregular cycles / have a reason to think you are not ovulating. Might take a couple of appointments but worth a go.

kava syringe sounds interesting but you still need a fresh batch of goo?!

snow hope it is implantation. Good luck.

I'm feeling a bit sick today which is almost certainly because it's silly hot and I can't sleep but struggling not to convince myself it's a sign (way too early anyway) grr!

snarky Hello, step away from the pee sticks, slowly, with your hands up. It's for your own good!!!

nicky883 · 09/06/2016 10:56

Tha ks for the response emmalady
Will go to the gynecologist tomorrow for yearly smear test and ultrasound
I ll be 10dpo tomorrow do you think he will be able to see if i concieced or not ?
He was able
To see egg last year so i am guessing he will be able to see if anything has implanted ?

emalady · 09/06/2016 11:17

nicky I wouldn't expect to be able to see much. It's around 3 weeks after conception that anything is visible. Probably a bit too early at 10dpo.

nicky883 · 09/06/2016 11:47

Oh well i am gonna keep hoping until the 16th then :p
Is vaginal ultrasound not on the belly so i was hoping he would be able to see

marmitetoast1 · 09/06/2016 13:15

Gaaaah EWCM!!! EWCM!!!

First time I've noticed it! Want to go home from work right now and jump DH, severe conjunctivitis and cold or not!!
