RememberToSmile1980 · 16/05/2016 06:11

Hi ladies
I'm trying to conceive no. 2. My aim was to ttc from January of this year - however due to one thing or another (very stressful time at work!) I have not been giving it my all. I have now decided I need to focus on ttc no.2 as I am very conscious of the growing age gap! Please join for a friendly chat and to hopefully support each other!

Stats
Age - 35
Ttc - #2
CD - 21
DS - 3 years 10months!

Don't want to obsess about it! However I think it's inevitable!

Hi new ladies! Hope you're stay with us is short and sweet...

Flowers feline, be good to yourself.

Nothing to report here. My AF appears to be done, two days was nice and short. Ov testing will recommence in a few days time.

SendTheNextOneIn · 25/08/2016 12:38

Argh, sorry, of course I meant your. I'm such a spelling/grammar pedant, I'm so ashamed Blush Grin

Novinosincebambino · 25/08/2016 12:42

Hi everyone, sorry for the absence. Welcome newbies and Flowers to those having a crap time. Snuggly twins?!? Cripes! That's amazing.

Well I took a break from 'trying', deleted pregnancy app off my phone and mumsnet (that was hard! I have missed your news) and just gave myself a break. I was going a bit mental, I admit.

But after 4 days of testing (I didn't believe the first 3) I can confirm I got my BFP. I still don't believe it and after MC in February I won't be putting out the bunting just yet.

Spindelina · 25/08/2016 14:02

Congratulations, Novino! Hoping this one sticks for you.

Flowers for feline.

Send, it's ten days since I started bleeding, which probably means I'm getting towards the 'if in doubt' zone. My first period after my first MC took six weeks, but this time round I was seven weeks less pregnant. And I'm not 37 any more! I shall forgive your grammar slip, but only because of your stellar work on those lists Grin.

RaRa25 · 25/08/2016 14:04

So sorry feline, Flowers

That's great news novi! So pleased for you.

SendTheNextOneIn · 25/08/2016 16:16

Thanks spin, I shall update your details tomorrow.

fabulous news! Keep us updated with how you get on please Grin

Novinosincebambino · 25/08/2016 16:22

Thank you Spin, Rara and Send (excellent list work! I had no idea where everyone was).

I haven't told DH yet, not sure how I'll do it but probably just "can you hold this a sec please" and hand him the positive test - mmmm pee on a stick, lucky chap.

I will keep lurking until that list is all graduates.

Buddahbelly · 26/08/2016 21:48

feline so sorry, hope you're taking it easy and being kind to yourself (more cake, why yes of course im allowed more Wink)

novino congrats to you!

Think I've missed this month's window, was ovulating yesterday and only dtd once the day before as dp started a new job and hasn't been coming in till early hours when i'm fast asleep and he's shattered. I'm slightly hoping that 1 time may have just made it but not getting my hopes up. feeling pretty shitty today so off to bed with a twix all alone while he's still at work. Hoping tomorrow will be much better. Flowers for everyone else feeling hugely pissed off at the pregnancy news all around us.

zahaziland · 28/08/2016 20:50

congratulations novino! we're on a roll now! who will be next?

buddah, I feel your frustration about possibly missing your FW. My ovulation/cycles still vary since stopping BF, I think I will go back to using OPK next month.

jennymac31 · 28/08/2016 22:39

Evening all. Hope you have been enjoying the bank holiday weekend.

Buddah & zahaziland - think I might be joining you in regards to missing fw. Decided to attempt tracking my bbt but the temperatures recorded have not been as consistent as I had hoped and now it seems I've ovulated early. Didn't dtd that much as had expected fw to end later on this week. Am now just gonna wait for af to arrive in two weeks or so.

emilyalbemarle · 29/08/2016 22:50

Huge congratulations novino. I hope you have a happy and stress free pregnancy.
I'm out for this month - AF came to visit unfortunately. I just wish my cycles would settle down - this one is 26 days yet they've been as long as 37 days (though admittedly during episodes of moderate stress). Has anyone else found their cycle length is different after having baby number 1? I used to be a regular 29-31 day person, so I just don't know what to think? I got the static smiley on my opk on day 13 so I think I'm ovulating (plus I felt it). Why is ttc so hard yet I spent years trying to avoid it?! Feeling frustrated.

BummyMummy77 · 30/08/2016 02:53

Congrats Novi.

Feline I hope you're doing ok. My window is coming up and yet again have fallen out with dh! Argh! Does everyone do the deed every other day leashing up to ovulation?

Shrimpymummy · 30/08/2016 19:41

Aww, after a lengthy absence through trying to chill out about this (ha!) and general negligence, congratulations to new bfp-ers and so sorry for those who've suffered a loss.

Think am approaching my FW so definitely in 'if in doubt...' territory, but not a clue really as have been a bit erratic since MMC in April - will unhelpfully be away on my own at a festival for what I suspect will be the critical couple of days. If no joy this time around, am hitting the OPK and treating myself to some acupuncture next month as at least that feels like some sort of a plan.

Good luck to all in the same boat!

zahaziland · 31/08/2016 15:34

AF arrived Sad
I was pretty sure this wasn't going to be my month, but disappointing all the same. Off to find some cake...

SendTheNextOneIn · 01/09/2016 12:46

So to hear that zaha, hope you had good cake!

CD 10 here. Still getting lows on my CB ov kit so far.

Spindelina · 05/09/2016 19:27

How are all our school starters?

DD is having a week off (she was in nursery two days a week) and she starts with a morning on Friday.

Spindelina · 05/09/2016 19:28

(very little achieved wrt dtd so far this month, so changing the subject!)

jennymac31 · 05/09/2016 20:11

Spindelina - Only managed to dtd twice during my fw plus a couple of times before the fw started so I'm pretty sure I'm out this month. 4 days to go before I'm due to take a pregnancy test.

SendTheNextOneIn · 06/09/2016 12:11

My daughter started today! Mornings and lunch this week, I've to pick her up at 13:30, then full time from next Monday. She was a little wobbly and upset going in (she's been going to preschool four days a week for the last two years but not the one attached to the school), but she was mega brave! Hopefully she's having a good time. I feel a bit on tenterhooks until I go pick her up.

Buddahbelly · 06/09/2016 13:06

Nothing at all to report here, I have my pmt headache today so snarling anyone who comes close to me, send Oooh exciting, you know she'll be loving it and will come home telling you all her tales, spin what have you got planned for your last couple of days together?

Mine doesnt start till monday so Im working today & tomorrow while my mum has him and then thursday and friday hes all mine again, plan on doing lots of things to take my mind off not crying and staring at him in disbelief that he's now 4 already. Its gone so quick!

Round 2 better hurry up and get here already cos as of next week Ill be all alone in the house, ds at school and dp has gone back to college to retrain, its his 2nd day today and already he's reversed back into a 17 year old student Hmm!

jennymac31 · 06/09/2016 14:07

I'm going to have all of this to look forward to next year when dd starts school. Have started looking into attending open days but I think I have an idea what my school choices will be.

iemma321q · 06/09/2016 14:56

Hi all

Advice needed. We have been ttc our second for a few months now. I am currently using the expensive Clearblue digital ovulation sticks but I'm not having much luck with them. I used them every day this month from cd15 to cd22 and got a low reading everyday. Should I be concerned? Had anyone any experience of using these? They are too expensive for me to carry on using if they are not reliable.

Spindelina · 06/09/2016 17:44

Buddah, I'm mostly at work. DH has been on a trip to a local museum, and I'm planning to go and watch the men in Lycra come through. We're trying not to big it up with her, but MY BAAABYYYYY!!!
