Hi ladies
I'm trying to conceive no. 2. My aim was to ttc from January of this year - however due to one thing or another (very stressful time at work!) I have not been giving it my all. I have now decided I need to focus on ttc no.2 as I am very conscious of the growing age gap! Please join for a friendly chat and to hopefully support each other!

Stats
Age - 35
Ttc - #2
CD - 21
DS - 3 years 10months!

Don't want to obsess about it! However I think it's inevitable!

Ok, well shit! I couldn't help myself and did a test just now. I think BFN!! Please look at the pick. It's the only test I have and I threw the box away.
Now I feel silly as worried it is just a chemical. But I have no symptoms and I did have zero with DD. Shit, sorry. You wait and wAit and now it seems a bit real!!

Looks positive to me :-)

jennymac31 · 10/08/2016 12:04

Looks positive to me too. When's your af due again rara25?

Been feeling out of sorts so took a frer test but it was a bfn. Of course now I'm starting to get the similar symptoms I get when af is due. Also think my umbilical hernia might have lapsed so am waiting for an appointment to have a scan.

RaRa25 · 10/08/2016 12:12

AF due Friday. Took another asda £1 pink test and that has a line too!
jenny umbilical hernia sounds nasty, not heard of that before. Still hope for you, fingers crossed.

Congratulations rara!!!! Definitely a BFP!!

Good news indeed.

Spindelina · 10/08/2016 15:17

Yay RaRa!

I'm getting more and more convinced that I'm pg. AF is three days late so far. My one test is waiting for me at the weekend... hoping to join you in BFP celebrations soon...

RaRa25 · 10/08/2016 15:37

Thanks everyone.
Spin exciting! Are you away or just holding out? Either way, you have lots of will power!

RaRa25 · 10/08/2016 15:37

And welcome lotsof

SendTheNextOneIn · 10/08/2016 15:39

Wow congrats RaRa!! That CB test is no doubt a positive!

Spin how on earth have you not tested?! If your AF was not yet due then fair enough, but you're three days late?! Pee on a bloody stick woman!

Welcome lots! I am using the Clearblue Dual-hormone ovulation kit. Am only on my first month of using it, and so far I've had nine 'high' days in a row, which I think is unusual but it's really easy to use.

Buddahbelly · 10/08/2016 19:26

My goodness, I go away for a day and you're all here testing and getting BFP'S Congrats RaRa. Thats deffo a positive!!

Its getting very Low on numbers in here now... Hiya Lots Welcome, No advice on ovulation sticks i was using the cheapy ebay ones But have been gifted a clear blue by a lovely lady on here (waves at penguin Wink) so going to get my head around using that ready for next week. Due on friday and getting the usual cramps now so cant be much longer to get the ball rolling so to speak.

And yes send please for the love of god go POAS and come back and tell us! Grin

SnugglySnerd · 10/08/2016 19:29

Thought I'd see how everyone was doing - congratulations RaRa! Good luck to everyone who is testing soon.

Spindelina · 10/08/2016 20:00

When I say I'm 3 days late, that's based on a fairly arbitrary average of some weird and wacky cycles!

I'm too fatalistic to bother testing loads. Either I am or I'm not; testing won't change that. DH and I have always done it together (waited for the result, that is, not the peeing :D ). First time was CDthirtysomething of first cycle off the pill. That ended up being a 42 day cycle. CD35 of the next cycle was BFP and DD. Then BFP on CD38 of our next cycle trying was the one that MC; last cycle AF arrived on CD23 and here we are on CD33!

Buddahbelly · 11/08/2016 07:21

Wow spin those are weird cycles, Are you currently on medication for your cycles to make them more regular (sorry if you've already mentioned this!).

Spindelina · 11/08/2016 08:44

I don't think they are particularly weird cycles - the 42 day one was the first after coming off the pill, and the 23 day one was the first after MC, so they have excuses. I had a few 29-30 days cycles between coming off the pill and starting TTC this time round (learnt my lesson from five years ago and stopped a bit early). All of the others were BFP! So I'm assuming that's what's happening now...

Think I'm going to POAS tomorrow evening. That would let me and DH get our heads around it before I tell my boss (another reason why I'm not desperate to test - my work means that I need to tell asap, and if I don't know then I can't tell Wink).

SendTheNextOneIn · 11/08/2016 11:57

Ooooh CD17 and I got a peak on my CB test this morning...

Took it's time, I don't know if this is usual or what for me but it feels a bit late in my cycle. Hey ho, will just have to crack on and hope I get a decent length luteal phase too!

felineways · 11/08/2016 13:06

So I know there has been talk about the fact that full fat milk might be good for conception. Would cream cakes count? Hoping so as I seem to have accidentally eaten one :-)

SendTheNextOneIn · 11/08/2016 14:18

Absolutely feline. I've just had a slice of a Cheesecake Shop rainbow cake. That's got cream in it. And rainbows. It was awesome.

felineways · 11/08/2016 16:53

Oh that sounds lush.

SendTheNextOneIn · 11/08/2016 23:42

It was amazing.

Morning ladies

Pretty sure af will be arriving today, as started to have cramps in the early hours and woke with pink stain down below. Am praying it's implantation bleed but deep down I know i'm out for this month. Keeping fingers crossed for everyone else xx

Spindelina · 12/08/2016 19:51

Can we have a drumroll for the world's least surprising poas result:

BFP!

Nov sure how I feel. Happy, obviously, but nervous too. Hopefully this one will stick!

Buddahbelly · 12/08/2016 20:08

Congratulations spin !!! I have everything crossed for you!

(ignoring the fact I'll probably be talking to myself on these boards very very soon!!).

Have you old dp/dh yet?

RaRa25 · 12/08/2016 20:46

Congrats Spin!
