RememberToSmile1980 · 16/05/2016 06:11

Hi ladies
I'm trying to conceive no. 2. My aim was to ttc from January of this year - however due to one thing or another (very stressful time at work!) I have not been giving it my all. I have now decided I need to focus on ttc no.2 as I am very conscious of the growing age gap! Please join for a friendly chat and to hopefully support each other!

Stats
Age - 35
Ttc - #2
CD - 21
DS - 3 years 10months!

Don't want to obsess about it! However I think it's inevitable!

OMG that's fabulous Snuggly! Congratulations!

Lots of Wine and Chocolate for you Buddah, look after yourself. Xx

Still no sign of AF here, have got a test for the morning.

Novinosincebambino · 20/07/2016 18:48

Oh snuggly that's amazing!! I knew it would happen cause you were so convinced work trip would scupper you. Have had no internet all day because of the blooming storms so I was so worried I was missing something - and I was! Congratulations.

SnugglySnerd · 20/07/2016 19:00

Thanks everyone. I'm a worrier anyway buddha and I felt bad sharing my good news after seeing your news this morning. Enjoy your wine!
DD is 2 and a bit penguin. What is FMU?
Good luck tomorrow send.

Buddahbelly · 20/07/2016 19:50

Nooo I need good news right now! I've spent a small fortune in Holland and Barrett so come next month my body will be a temple and I'll either be pregnant or Cindy Crawford body double Smile

( don't mean to sound so flippant but if I get all serious I'd just cry and be miserable so I hide behind my awful jokes! )

Good luck tomorrow send.

Snuggly have you told your dp yet? Or How you planning on telling him

Novinosincebambino · 20/07/2016 19:55

Buddah I am the same, and I don't see it as flippant. It works for me. I hope Holland & Barrett provided the good stuff and if it works we're going to need some tips here.Smile

Novinosincebambino · 20/07/2016 19:56

Snuggly think FMU is first morning urine?

Penguin13 · 20/07/2016 20:11

Yep I meant first morning urine Snuggly. Oh dear I really have bought into mumsnet - using the abbreviations without even thinking about it now Blush

SnugglySnerd · 20/07/2016 20:37

Thanks. I have one more test to do in the morning to make sure! Just reminding myself what I should/should not be eating.

Penguin13 · 21/07/2016 07:58

Eek Send POAS day! Fingers crossed for you.

RaRa25 · 21/07/2016 08:22

Fingers crossed send!

Novinosincebambino · 21/07/2016 09:09

Rooting for you send hope you're number 7!

Novinosincebambino · 21/07/2016 09:20

Sorry 8! Forgot snuggly - sorry snuggly!

SendTheNextOneIn · 21/07/2016 11:27

So sorry to disapoint you ladies, but I managed to get a FR pack yesterday (the two pack is rolled back to £6 in Asda if anyone's looking to stock up) and it was a big blank nothing this morning. AF has still not started but I'm on CD27 today (average is 25) so don't think it's worked this month.

I've just used my ad card points at Boots to buy a Clearblue digital ov kit, the dual-hormone one, so will be using that to hopefully try and pinpoint ov a bit more.

Buddahbelly · 21/07/2016 12:02

send don't give up yet, I was due on saturday and didn't get a line until the sunday evening (and tested quite a lot in between!) and how many times did I write last few weeks I didn't think I was at all.

Maybe try again in the morning.

SnugglySnerd · 21/07/2016 12:17

Yes keep trying send.
I had a couple of spots of blood this morning. Only a little bit, hopefully implantation bleeding but it's worried me, that didn't happen at all with my first pregnancy. I'm keeping everything crossed but not getting my hopes up.

Penguin13 · 21/07/2016 12:17

Sorry to hear that Send FlowersYou aren't out till the witch shows though. You reminded me though - anyone want a free lucky unused CB digital dual hormone ov kit? Sorry I am too late for you Send - totally forgot Blush Just yell anyone and I will send it.

BestBeastie · 21/07/2016 12:19

Grin Snuggly - massive congrats.

Send good luck tomorrow!! Not over yet.
Re the ovulation kit... I'm using the one you've just bought. It does help I think - although I've had a couple of issues with mine. Just be warned that if you have a double lh surge (which I think is reasonably common) then you won't be able to identify it on those, as you can't keep testing after the first fixed smiley. Probably only necessary to keep in mind if you have an unusually early fixed smiley and no other ov symptoms.

Just sharing my thoughts because I'm frazzled at work (up at 430 this morning - no idea why) and I'm finding it seriously difficult to concentrate. I apologise for being boring. And I'm hoping you won't need to use it anyway.

BestBeastie · 21/07/2016 12:22

Oh gosh - sorry snuggly I didn't see your post. Keeping fingers cross it passes soon. I know a fair few people who spotted after a BFP when their period was due.

Penguin13 · 21/07/2016 12:27

Snuggly I missed your post too. So sorry you're experiencing spotting. Even if it can be totally normal i know how worrying it can be. Hope everything settled down soon.

Penguin13 · 21/07/2016 12:28

Settles.

SendTheNextOneIn · 21/07/2016 13:29

Thank you Beastie (not boring at all by the way - I have also been awake since 4am due to 1. Little Miss Send's inability to get her duvet back on herself if it falls off the bed and 2. my inability to get back to sleep if I wake up any time past 3.30am - very little work is getting done here either). I will bear that in mind.

Hope you're ok Snuggly, hopefully it's just a bit of breakthrough bleeding, as your body would have been expecting to have a period now maybe so hopefully it will just subside. Look after yourself and keep us posted.

I'll test again in a couple of days if no sign of AF still. I have no symptoms of it starting at all, although i was a bit irritable this morning, but that may have been more due to the early wake up, plus I'm not a morning person anyway. The delay could also be due to my body getting used to there not being a coil in my uterus, I only had it removed at the beginning of this month!

flutterworc · 21/07/2016 16:12

I also missed your news Snuggly - my fingers are firmly crossed for you. I spotted a bit when I was pg with DS - before I tested, so it turned out okay.

I've just got my slightly dicey supply of Clomid delivered. Our NHS PCT won't prescribe any fertility meds if you have a child, so have had to go private - but online! I have to take my iwn blood and am terrified of needles! Eek!!

SnugglySnerd · 21/07/2016 16:42

Thanks everyone. No more spotting since first thing this morning so hopefully it's all ok.
Just broke up for the summer hols and realised I can't have a drink to celebrate! Might eat the left over chocolates my classes couldn't finish instead.

Penguin13 · 21/07/2016 19:41

Good news Snuggly and hooray for end of term! Chocs sound like an excellent way to celebrate. Also, depends what your tipple of choice is but I found becks blue alcohol free beer surprisingly drinkable last time around.

Booked my 8 week scan for 16 August which seems like aaaaaages away. Will be trying not to bankrupt myself with tests till then!

Off to my friend's baby shower on Sat - it's her 2nd. Had a lovely time at lunchtime picking out some gorgeous babygros. Figured it's nice to have some brand new things for the new baby even if really they have all the stuff from last time. This may be a personal thing from being the third child and getting all the hand-me-downs however !Grin

SnugglySnerd · 21/07/2016 20:05

I drank that last time too penguin, the Bitburger alcohol free one is good too.
