RememberToSmile1980 · 16/05/2016 06:11

Hi ladies
I'm trying to conceive no. 2. My aim was to ttc from January of this year - however due to one thing or another (very stressful time at work!) I have not been giving it my all. I have now decided I need to focus on ttc no.2 as I am very conscious of the growing age gap! Please join for a friendly chat and to hopefully support each other!

Stats
Age - 35
Ttc - #2
CD - 21
DS - 3 years 10months!

Don't want to obsess about it! However I think it's inevitable!

Hope you enjoyed your cake. Sounds yum! Any chance you could have ovd later than you thought? On the month I conceived DD I got two surges and only actually ovd on the second.

Novinosincebambino · 25/06/2016 12:50

Oh that's interesting penguin it could be that. I did have symptoms again a few days later but tested and it was negative. I just wish my body would blooming behave.

I'm also considering the possibility that there's some tissue left from the MC. My hcg was reading almost 300 6 weeks after the surgical procedure (it was so high in fact the idiot making the call to give me my results told me congratulations! This is why you don't look at blood results out of context Angry) I have bought a clearblue digital so I'll test again tomorrow and then give it to CD 35 to call the doctor and start the ball rolling on investigations. This utterly sucks! I might have to go out and buy more cake.

RaRa25 · 25/06/2016 15:49

novi how frustrating for you! Our bodies Can be a big pain in the ass at times.
Yes to the cake, of course it will help Smile.

Penguin13 · 25/06/2016 22:12

Sorry your body is being frustrating Novino, the uncertainty is particularly hard after an MC I think. Got my fingers crossed for you for good news. I'm impressed you got any kind of follow-up as after the ERPC I was discharged same day and that was it, but sorry the person dealing with your test results was so insensitive. Really hope that no tissue was left and no further treatment is needed. Oh and yes to cake. Cake is never not the right answer.

Novinosincebambino · 26/06/2016 07:14

I had to be a bit of a thorn in their side to get any help at all penguin. I was discharged same day with tramadol (awful stuff) and that was it. Will be keeping insensitive bodge up up my sleeve in case I really need to use it - shame it has to be that way.

Thanks Rara! I tested with clearblue this morning and BFN but still no AF. Feel dreadful and temperature is just under 40 so docs getting a call. Shame you can't take a sick day when you're a mum! Wink

PurpleRibbons · 26/06/2016 09:41

I hope you feel better soon Novino, that's quite a high temp you have. Take care Flowers

Buddahbelly · 26/06/2016 10:12

novino feeling so sorry for you, indulge in cake though, your body would want it that way Smile. Can you stay in bed for a bit and relax?

We were planning on starting the ball rolling again tonight for the next week or so, but as I've just decided to repaint the living room I've knocked out the tv aerial moving the unit and dp cannot get the tv to work so has now stormed upstairs with the washing basket upstairs to put the washing away (yes its that serious!), I doubt much talking will be going on today let alone anything else.

Novinosincebambino · 26/06/2016 10:25

Thanks purple and buddah you always make me chuckle. I'm in bed as we speak and wee one is out for a walk with MIL. Can't get through to NHS 24 so now thinking I'm wasting resources by calling at all (it's ridiculous we think this way isn't it penguin) any tips for getting AF going? I would literally try anything. Maybe not DTD though no one wants this (circles hideous pale face with finger).

Theknittinggorilla · 26/06/2016 11:25

Hi ladies hoping I can join though I am ttc number 3...
I'm 36, first cycle and am on cd10 so hoping next week is the week. Trying to be relaxed about it so no opks, conceived quite quickly with the first two but worried it will take longer this time.
My dc are 3 and 1.

Novinosincebambino · 26/06/2016 12:29

Welcome knitting. I'm sure you'll have no trouble at all but I know it's hard to stay relaxed when it's something so important to you. There's been 4 BFPs on this thread so far so here's hoping for a lot more.

Theknittinggorilla · 26/06/2016 14:12

Thanks novino. Hope you are feeling better

SnugglySnerd · 26/06/2016 19:42

Welcome knitting.
How are you feeling Novino?
It's Purple btw with a new name inspired by DD's bedtime story!

Novinosincebambino · 26/06/2016 21:07

Hi Snuggly I like the new name, must check out the book. I might have to change my user name to Oi Frog - I think I enjoy it more than DD! Feeling better thanks but still sweating buckets and no sign of AF, it has officially gone AWOL. Will call docs in the morning but googling like mad to try and work out whats going on. Obviously thats a very healthy thing to do pfffft.

Penguin13 · 27/06/2016 08:03

Hi Knitting and welcome. Fingers crossed that, in the nicest possible way, your stay here will be short.

Really hope this week brings some answers and some feeling better for you Novino! (and yep totally ridiculous to worry about wasting Resources). Did you say you had booked a GP appointment? Hope that is soon. You're right that consulting doctor Google is unlikely to bring answers but I, and I suspect the majority of the population, am exactly the same!

Buddha you'll just have to get it together for some make-up DTD Grin

I have been feeling ill all weekend so in a way it's a blessing that I've just had AF as otherwise I might be getting my hopes up! Just a cold but it has seriously wiped me out to the point of feeling dizzy after walking upstairs yesterday which is ridiculous!

Buddahbelly · 27/06/2016 12:38

Hi knitting Smile.

Novino how you feeling today? Hope you managed to get to the dr's.

Ds is 4 today, I had envisioned a 2 yr age gap between Dc's. I went seriously wrong there didn't I?

RaRa25 · 27/06/2016 18:51

novi how are you feeling today?
Love the new name snuggly!
Buddah it is frustrating when things don't go to plan ie the age gap, but I like to think things happen for a reason. On the bright side, when we are all upduffed we will have done great little helpers to do errands for us!
Wellcome knitting I'm sure this time will be no different for you, fingers crossed.
Hope you feel better soon penguin.

Novinosincebambino · 27/06/2016 19:12

Hi everyone, sorry I had to go oop north for work today and the signal was pants. Had a phone consultation with the doc (apologised for wasting her time!!!) and going in for blood tests tomorrow. Still feeling rubbish but couldn't pull a sickie. The most alarming symptom of being ill - I had to push a plate of brownies away from me as the smell made me feel sick! It just got serious. How's everyone doing? You'll all be getting ready for your fw and I'll be a human pin cushion.

SnugglySnerd · 27/06/2016 19:50

Sorry to hear you are still feeling poorly Novino. Hope you get some answers.
Reckon I will ovulate next Monday. I'm away with work Fri-Sun so pinning all my hopes on DTD Sunday night and Monday. Annoying timing of work trip!

Novinosincebambino · 27/06/2016 20:33

it will probably be ok snuggly I think this will be your month. Just jump on that man as soon as you get back. Maybe pack a few opks to test while your away and practice on the Thursday before you go just in case (apparently their swimmers can last a while in there).

flutterworc · 27/06/2016 20:37

Hi all - can I jump on your bandwagon?

Age: 35
TTC: #2
DS: 3.5
CD: 15/21

DS took donkeys' years to catch and seem to be anovulatory due to PCOS, but giving it a go anyway!

SnugglySnerd · 27/06/2016 20:51

Grin Novino
Welcome flutter.

Novinosincebambino · 27/06/2016 20:57

Just re-read my message snuggly and I am horrified that I used your instead of you're. Feel free to banish me from the thread, its no more than I deserve and illness is no excuse! Blush

Welcome to the madness flutter

RaRa25 · 27/06/2016 21:04

Welcome flutter
Lol novi!

Novinosincebambino · 27/06/2016 21:11

Just went back and read the messages from earlier. How are you feeling penguin? You have my sympathy. I am sending you virtual chocolate (dizziness is usually a sign of low blood sugar so chocolate should be consumed for LEGITIMATE medicinal purposes).

BestBeastie · 27/06/2016 21:25

All aboard. I'm on if you'll have me? Have been reading and lurking....

Age: 37 (nearing 38)

This is our 6th cycle in 4 months. Ever since starting TTC my cycles have gone bonkers. Possibly due to a dose of antibiotics in cycle 3, possibly because in an effort to increase my chances I keep dosing myself up with various concoctions (EPO, ubiquinol) that my body really isn't reacting well to (ditched both of the aforementioned).

Seriously bored of this already - looking forward to seeing some success stories on this thread, to give me some much needed hope. I'm convinced it's never going to happen already.
