RememberToSmile1980 · 16/05/2016 06:11

Hi ladies
I'm trying to conceive no. 2. My aim was to ttc from January of this year - however due to one thing or another (very stressful time at work!) I have not been giving it my all. I have now decided I need to focus on ttc no.2 as I am very conscious of the growing age gap! Please join for a friendly chat and to hopefully support each other!

Stats
Age - 35
Ttc - #2
CD - 21
DS - 3 years 10months!

Don't want to obsess about it! However I think it's inevitable!

Ah thanks guys but I'm pretty sure its in the post. I do not have the feelings. Cycle is just being stupid. Confused where's the cake???

PurpleRibbons · 22/06/2016 21:05

I've spent half this week eating chocolate chip cookies!!

Penguin13 · 22/06/2016 21:08

I work about 30 metres from a garage with a greggs in it Blush I don't even want to admit how much cake has been eaten this week!

Buddahbelly · 22/06/2016 21:19

I made strawberry shortcake cheesecake fo dp on sunday for fathers day, *I ate half of it on monday and then when he asked where its all gone I said i'd left it out and saw a fly land on it so threw some away Blush.

*(I did not eat it whilst angrily watching dickinson's real deal shouting at the mahogany wonder)

Penguin13 · 22/06/2016 21:27

Buddha. That is hilarious. I think you might be my soulmate Grin

Novinosincebambino · 22/06/2016 21:56

Buddha you are fabulously mental! Love it Grin

RaRa25 · 22/06/2016 22:02

Rubbish Buddah! Not to the eating shitloads of cheesecake, I love the fly excuse 😂
We have every right to stuff our faces, we have to feed our shitty hormones. I went on a walk at lunch with colleagues, the sole aim bieng to get more steps in for the day. I got a few side glances when I walked into tesco express mid walk, and walked out with a family bag of maltesers ( we all know they are not proper chocolate) and proceeded to demolish the entire bag, then went back to work and tucked into my lunch. I'm sure they were all thinking - fat bitch! Swearing - blaming AF!
Still got my fingers crossed for you novi

Spindelina · 23/06/2016 09:27

Congratulations to those of you with BFPs, and grrr to AF.

We were on holiday last week, having decided to not really think about it until we got back. First AF since MC turned up while we were away, so I'm now on CD8 and getting very impatient!

Novinosincebambino · 23/06/2016 09:43

That's how I feel spin! I definitely think AF is coming (thanks for the positive vibes though Rara Smile) I am feeling cramps and just wish it would get on with it so I can gear up for next cycle.

On a completely high brow economic note: Sainsburys are selling 2 fresh cream chocolate eclairs for £1.50 and 4 are on special for £1! I had no choice but to buy and eat all 4. Just good economic sense really.

RaRa25 · 23/06/2016 09:47

Thanks novi I'm off to sainsbury's!

Novinosincebambino · 23/06/2016 18:14

Did you get some Rara? Also, wispa biscuits are awesome. I'll be sporting a biscuit bump soon!

RaRa25 · 23/06/2016 19:00

I did Novi! Myself and DD had a snuggly film and chocolate eclair fest this afternoon.
Whisper biscuits, why have I not heard of these?!? Right, that's tomorrow's snack sorted.

PurpleRibbons · 23/06/2016 19:02

I can't nip to the local mini Sainsbury's for sweet treats again, they'll judge me!

Novinosincebambino · 23/06/2016 19:25

Let them judge purple we are merely making our bodies nice and comfy for the babies we shall be carrying soon - PMA!

Buddahbelly · 23/06/2016 22:04

novino for chancellor, single handedly saving the economy buying all 4 cream cakes. Well done Grin.

If Brexit does happen we must all rush to sainsbury's tomorrow and stock up on eclairs so everyone going on holiday need not worry about the exchange rate crashing Smile. Its our duty!

PurpleRibbons · 23/06/2016 22:22

Good news! I found half a packet of giant chocolate buttons in a cupboard. I have erm...tidied them up. Will do my bit for the economy tomorrow and buy more chocolate chip cookies.

Penguin13 · 23/06/2016 23:17

You are so conscientious Purple Grin

I must say this thread has really brought a smile to my face. It was a bit of a rubbish week at work with AF's arrival being the cherry on the cake and you ladies have cheered me right up.

I've barely been trying I know but for some reason am feeling a bit DOOOOOOM about the whole TTC thing as a whole at the mo. Maybe the answer for me is taking a but more control and doing OPKs again. I need to feel like I have some idea what is going on with my body even if I don't 100% know I have ovd.

Still waiting for ovary scan as I was on hol when they called me from the diagnostic centre and haven't returned my calls since I am back. The pain has mostly subsided now so wondering if it was a cyst which has now gone in which case maybe I should just cancel - I don't want to take up valuable resources if there is someone else who could be seen quicker as a result. Thoughts?

Novinosincebambino · 24/06/2016 09:17

I definitely feel nauseous this morning but that's probably just Nigel Farage's face on TV that's doing that. More eclairs for everyone (before the price goes up - choux pastry is French after all.)

I don't think you're wasting valuable resources at all penguin go and see them and have a chat. If you can put your mind at ease then that can only be a good thing. The happy endorphins when they tell you all is well could even help?

I am getting on the Opks this month too because I want to be proactive (when AF finally shows up). I just want to get on with it.

RaRa25 · 24/06/2016 13:27

Still go penguin, you need peace of mind and if it came back you would be kicking yourself for not checking.
I'm with you on the down front, think bieng proactive is a good thing ie OPK's think I will start again this month as I'm not even sure I ovulated this month and my AF only lasted a couple of days.
Are you going to test novi?
Damn it, just back from asda and forgot to look for wispa biscuits! A bottle of wine did mysteriously find its way into the trolley though 😉

Novinosincebambino · 24/06/2016 14:29

How did that happen Rara? ConfusedWinestealth wine placement perhaps?? You have no choice but to drink it, it's Friday and it would be rude not to.

I'm giving AF till Sunday as that would make my cycle 32 days which is still possible. If it's a no show I will test again (tested on Monday and it was a BFN) Still 99% sure I'm not so not getting my hopes up. I have been stressed and not sleeping great so it's probably just that.

PurpleRibbons · 24/06/2016 16:27

You've all cheered me up too, I've had a horrible week except for all the chocolate
Def still go Penguin, that's what they are there for!

Penguin13 · 24/06/2016 22:28

Thanks all for your advice. My scan appointment for the 5th came through this morning so not too long to wait.

Novinosincebambino · 25/06/2016 08:46

Let us know how you get on penguin?

I woke up this morning in a mess. My Head aches, skin unexplainable, boobs swollen and sore. Took a test cause that's me on CD 32 but BFN and that's on a FRER so I'm definitely not pregnant. This sticky toffee cupcake will make it all better, won't it?!?

PurpleRibbons · 25/06/2016 09:42

Yes, cake makes everything better! Is it worth doing another test just to be sure?
Pleased your scan isn't too far off penguin.

Novinosincebambino · 25/06/2016 11:39

Might go get a different type of test and try tomorrow morning. I can't be though, surely? I ovulated early so thought AF would be here by now. More cake!
