Hugh enjoys ISW and his love affair with Doreen. He watches out for skittle tits and weepyitis. Mrs Arseholey Fucknut (Af) shows up when you least want her but brings wine and soft cheese as a consolation prize.

We don't have rules as such but expect to be talked down from the ledge with kind and well meaning but firm words if you get too hysterical. But most importantly don't convince yourself you're pregnant in the tww That is paramount! It messes with your head and makes you crazy crazier

We don't get a lot of baby dust in these here parts. We want a fanny full of determined Doreen, not unicorn farts and gnome tears with extra sparkle. We've been going a while now so the novelty has somewhat worn off and we're slightly battle scarred and bruised in the cervix area.

Post your stats and add your dates. A more lovely, supportive group of ladies you couldn't wish to meet. We've got a few grads sticking around I won't leave and no question is too daft. We have opk experts, cervical mucus management teams and symptom spotters extraudinaire!

WE SHALL WIN IN THE GAME OF SPERM MEETS EGG! IT WILL HAPPEN!

Kwick knowledge would be power for me I think - understanding implications and process for each side. Glad to hear you are seeing the unit and hope they can help you through this.

Thinking of you and sending you strength and hugs ThanksThanksThanks

5tardusty · 20/04/2016 18:19

kwick i'm sorry youre having to make this decision. I chose to have the medical management but i don't think it has fully worked and i suspect i'll have to have the op next week anyway.

Thinking of you Thanks

celizabe · 20/04/2016 18:31

Hi kwick, like anything there are pros and cons, when I had mmc, I was too far gone for medical management and had to have surgery. The only thing I will say is that, while you probably can't think too far ahead right now, with op you do have to wait a while for the womb lining to build back up before you can try again. Approx 2-3 months whereas with successful medical management you probably wouldn't. Like 5star mentioned though, sometimes you end up having the op anyway. From my experience the op is really emotionally draining but the whole process seems to be over much more quickly which helped me in the long run.
My heart goes out to you x

Feefeefs · 20/04/2016 19:08

So sorry KwickThanks

HepKestrel · 20/04/2016 19:32

Hi kwick

my only advice is that information is usually your friend. If you get the information about the options, you will at least take control over the choice of the next step.

we are all here for you

Hope you're doing as well as you can be kwick

jem did you test yesterday?

I'm off to France for the weekend today, I'm going to ignore the TWW since it's not yielded anything positive (no pun intended!) so far and eat cheese and pate by the tuck load!

Evergreen17 · 21/04/2016 07:52

Ladies for those of you in here that are TTC#1, 35+ and trying for 6months+ we have a little new thread here if you want to pop say hello.

http://www.mumsnet.com/Talk/conception/2618670-ttc-1-35-and-6months-ttc-plus-do-you-belong-to-this-exquisite-group-rant-advice-virtual-glasses-of-wine-and-no-judgement-happy-place-here

I won't be leaving this thread!!! But I sometimes find it hard to relate to other stories when I feel the clock ticking and people coming and going upduffed on cycle 1 Confused

ThanksThanksThanks

KatOnATinRo0f · 21/04/2016 08:20

Ever I don't actually think we've had any people pop in/out with cycle 1 BFPs for a while now have we? I thought the other day it seemed like it had settled a bit to mainly us lot who have been trying for a while. But I'm not over 35... Although I feel it sometimes! Xxx

Evergreen17 · 21/04/2016 08:25

You are right!!!! It has been a while actually! But now I think it also has been a while since we got a BFP at all!!!!!
It is hard to ignore the clock ticking. I wanted to have a couple of babies but at this rate...
Come on universe!!! We are doing our part here!!!!

Evergreen17 · 21/04/2016 08:26

Wait! Do you think we are stuck here forever!! It was all the newbies giving us false hope and statistics?!

SuchaJem · 21/04/2016 08:26

I don't recall many cycle 1 bfps either, perhaps I've mentally deleted Smile

moose not tested yet, no. AF due today and I feel a bit crampy. Slightly sore boobs, nothing to write home about. Really on the fence this month. Tampons at the ready, FRER in the cupboard! DH has gone to work so I'm waiting for AF or him to get back Saturday to test. Have a lovely time in France!

SuchaJem · 21/04/2016 12:34

AF is here. Found we go again...

StarkyTheDirewolf · 21/04/2016 12:41

I think perhaps because we've got some "in jokes and lingo" perhaps it's not as easy to get involved? So the cycle 1 bfp'ers don't join in? Do you want me to bugger off? I feel bad like I'm popping in and getting on y'alls tits.

I'm sorry af got you jem Wine Cake

Also were on thread 14 now... There are probably loads new younger and cooler and more positive threads that we don't know about going on. Where they are just learning about what to use to collect pee in for the OPKs and stuff we figured out way back in the heady days of thread 3 and 4

Cthulhoo · 21/04/2016 13:47

And thus beginneth the two week wait. We timed dtd pretty well this time round, I think, and I've been taking all my vitamins and so now ... I need to wait.

And no, Starky, stay! You're the heart and the soul of the thread, you can't leave!

Evergreen17 · 21/04/2016 14:38

Oh yes, when we learned about ramekins and using the opk sachet as a urine holder Grin

InspectorPenguin · 21/04/2016 15:38

Using the sachet? That's genius!

AliceScarlett · 21/04/2016 16:04

After turned up 2 days early. Hello cycle 5 Angry

AliceScarlett · 21/04/2016 16:05

AF!

LovelyFishy · 21/04/2016 16:17

Sorry AF got you Sucha. SadFlowersWineCake

Starky you should stick around, it's nice having you here!

LovelyFishy · 21/04/2016 16:19

Sorry AF got you too Alice. It's not been a good month for us so far. BrewChocolate

SuchaJem · 21/04/2016 18:39

Today is the start of cycle 5 for me too alice

I'm really, really sad about it today. I was so sure and now I'm so bloody sad Sad

Pugmummy87 · 21/04/2016 18:42

kwick hoping that the epu have given you the information you need to make the decision that is right for you.

Still no sign of AF. I think I must have ovulated last Friday then. Usual sore boobs I get at this point after ovulation.
I just know I am not pregnant so haven't bothered testing.

Theorchard · 21/04/2016 18:46

Well I am cycle 1 newbie, but I am also 35 and no bfp yet. I just joined this thread as people seemed to know what they were talking about, and I always look for people better informed than me (not hard!) eg brilliant suggestions about sachets and ramekins. I also like the fact there are people who've had success still around it reminds me everyone has a different journey.
Sorry to hear AF turned up jem and alice FlowersWine
We dtd on Tuesday, I'm now in my fertile window and think I am ovulating / oh surge now, so will go and do an opk in a moment, then jump on dh for the next few days. Fx

Theorchard · 21/04/2016 18:48

Lh surge, stupid iPad! not oh surge! Grin but an oh surge would be a bonus Grin
