Hugh enjoys ISW and his love affair with Doreen. He watches out for skittle tits and weepyitis. Mrs Arseholey Fucknut (Af) shows up when you least want her but brings wine and soft cheese as a consolation prize.

We don't have rules as such but expect to be talked down from the ledge with kind and well meaning but firm words if you get too hysterical. But most importantly don't convince yourself you're pregnant in the tww That is paramount! It messes with your head and makes you crazy crazier

We don't get a lot of baby dust in these here parts. We want a fanny full of determined Doreen, not unicorn farts and gnome tears with extra sparkle. We've been going a while now so the novelty has somewhat worn off and we're slightly battle scarred and bruised in the cervix area.

Post your stats and add your dates. A more lovely, supportive group of ladies you couldn't wish to meet. We've got a few grads sticking around I won't leave and no question is too daft. We have opk experts, cervical mucus management teams and symptom spotters extraudinaire!

WE SHALL WIN IN THE GAME OF SPERM MEETS EGG! IT WILL HAPPEN!

Cycle 2
CD 22ish I think.

Ovulated over the weekend for what I think was the first time in 18 years (due to being on pill since I was 17). I swear I had ovulation pains on Friday night (sharp, stitch like pain in the lower left abdomen) and today my nips stick out and feel tender - never had that before and read it's a common post-Ov occurrence. It's weird, it feels like I have finally become a woman! Grin

Feeling much more relaxed now that I know my body is doing something. Due to test on 30th but happy to go with the flow for a few months - enjoying sunshine and wine quite a lot at the moment :)

Good luck to everyone in thread 14. Hoping there are lots more BFPs - especially for those who've been on the road for longer.

Ever sorry to read AF turned up. Have a proper think about trying to switch off for a month or two and planning some fun stuff for you and OH Wine

Feef

Age 28

Currently 6+5 like jam conceived on cycle 4, exhausted like nothing else, narky, vaguely sick if I wait more than 3 hours between eating! Ongoing period type cramps. Booked private early scan next Saturday. May then wait till week 10-ish to tell some close family and week 12 before telling work. Finding it weirdly upsetting not to tell people feel like I'm hermitting but equally scared of telling people!

No miley we don't want you to leave!!

Kwick709 · 17/04/2016 21:00

Damn... I was still posting to old thread Envy

Hep and Ever very sorry about AF

5star I am so very sorry Flowers

So I am:
kwick
Age: the oldest of the lot at 41!!!!
TTC: #1
I did 5 IUIs which all failed and am now 8+1 after IVF using donor magic potion - I am single so no chukka-chukka available to me.
I have had very few symptoms except for heightened sense of smell (sorry Suchajem but surely the lure of a starky Star will keep you on the straight & narrow), and some nausea (but can be confused with travel sickness). I am taking a shed load of progesterone each day - as being monitored by clinic - including mahoosive needle which goes into bum or upper thigh - I am black & blue. I had an early scan this Monday past - resulted in 3 up the fanjo and 2 on the womble scans as the it seems kwicklet was in lateral position... getting more and more worried about this - have another scan on Tuesday.

Kathrino · 17/04/2016 21:08

Hello everyone, I fell off the bus a few cycles ago when work/life got busy but we're back in the game now. FW has just started, we're on our (belated) honeymoon and I'm hoping this cycle (#5 I think but I've lost count) is the lucky one! Will be testing on 5 May although we're not back from our holiday until 10 May so might try and wait until then.

So good to see some of our grads sticking around and hoping for lots more soon!

theneonninja · 17/04/2016 21:11

Hi jem my date was 16th April according to Kindara app.

Kwick709 · 17/04/2016 21:12

Welcome back katharino!!!

KatOnATinRo0f · 17/04/2016 21:13

Kwick what does that mean in the lateral position? I hope everything is okay with kwicklet. X

Kwick709 · 17/04/2016 21:23

That is the problem Kat I have no idea... and I am trying not to freak out... they say they saw the sac, yolk and heartbeat but it was all so blurry and they pushed around A LOT and womble/fanjo really did not like that. I am praying kwicklet is doing okay and just was in a hard to view position but owing to lack of symptoms I am worried... need to do some self-PMA.
I dedicated my yoga practice earlier to kwicklet.

Mileymoocow · 17/04/2016 21:23

kwick!! How are you doing??? I'm glad you're not suffering the dreaded sickness, I'm slightly envious of you and starky though. I'm sure kwicklet will be perfect and you have nothing to worry about.

Mileymoocow · 17/04/2016 21:24

Aw mate. If heartbeat is there everything is well in your favour! Flowers

Kathrino · 17/04/2016 21:56

Thanks kwick! So excited for you and kwicklet and I hope he/she behaves himself/herself at the scan on Tuesday.

So just now noticed some blood, bright red. I think AF is showing up early for me. Sad

Kwick709 · 18/04/2016 07:45

Thanks miley I guess I should be grateful for lack of chucking up but as I feel no different how can I be sure it is just not an illusion? I am having awful dreams most nights...

Evergreen17 · 18/04/2016 08:29

Kwick I am sure little Kwicklet is fine just difficult to see.
Yoga a great idea, it can do wonders Smile
I am absolutely exhausted after having the niece and nephew staying over this weekend. Sooooo tired.
So I have realised that if it takes us another year to get preggo then this year I am going to sleep and do all the things I won't be able to do then.
I purchased a clearblue fertility monitor GrinGrin We can't dtd all the time so we need to maximise our opportunities.
I hope it arrives tomorrow or day after or I will have to wait another month.
Fishy sorry to hear Sad Is it defo AF?

Evergreen17 · 18/04/2016 08:31

Ah! Next month I see GP because we should qualify now due to age and number of cycles trying Confused
I hope she is nice to me Sad

SuchaJem · 18/04/2016 08:33

So I'm onto the May bus, can I grab a ticket for the 16th please? AF arrived bang on time yesterday afternoon. Roll on Cycle #6. Hep & Ever I'm right there with you girls.

5star - I'm so sorry for your loss. I had an MMC last year and I understand the shock of it all. I hope you and your partner are doing okay, make sure to give yourself enough space to grieve, it's a horrible thing to happen.

So I'm Celizabe,

Cycle 6

Have DH already set up for SMEP next month. He's really struggling with anxiety at the moment and Citalopram is turning into my absolute nemesis Angry. We DTD the day of a positive OPK last month, so I was hopeful, but knew we needed to DTD the next two days too. His damn meds got in the way of "completion" shall we say so missed that bus. When you've only got a 25% chance of beans sticking when you do everything right, I honestly wonder how the human race is still around. Sorry for the rant, just so frustrated now as fell preggies on cycle 2 the first time.

So here's hoping for lots and lots of BFPs in May. With these two bank holidays there's extra bonus non-work days for some DTDing Smile

LovelyFishy · 18/04/2016 10:23

Sorry the witch got you Celizabe. I'm with you on wondering how the human race survives!

So sorry about the mcc 5tar, I don't think the correct words exist to describe the situation but it must royally suck. SadFlowers

This morning woke to my little girl cat snuggled right up next to me which was rather cute. Kitty sick found in the kitchen was less cute. Wore a pad last night as so sure AF was turning up and this morning...nothing!! What is going on with my body?? I never get and pre-AF spotting. I also have some weird light cramping going on. But I do not feel at all preggo. Confused

HepKestrel · 18/04/2016 11:35

For those of you taking EPO, did any of you notice lighter AF?

My last 2 AF have been lighter that the others (post pill). (how to put it whilst keeping TMI to a minimum..... yellow instead of green tampax). This coincides with the 2 months I have been taking it. Trying to decide whether I should take it this cycle or not. Am thinking of not taking it, as I don't believe CM is an issue for me.... as long as I drink enough water, which i am crap at !

Ni4444 · 18/04/2016 12:11

Hep did you start it on CD1? I thought it shortened my AF when I did that so I've been starting it when AF is finishing instead-give that a go?

HepKestrel · 18/04/2016 12:22

last month i think i started it on cd 1.

haven't started taking it yet this cycle.

kavanaughkj · 18/04/2016 13:31

I've taken EPO my last 2 cycles and it's been no lighter for me - I take it up until ovulation and then stop. Definitely had an effect on the CM, though - up until this morning when my temps shot up, FF was very confused as to which days I was fertile because of the copious amounts of EWCM ... unprecedented in my experience this cycle!! I'm hoping it's a good sign. Am now apparently 3 DPO though so here goes another TWW.

Trying to be positive this cycle rather than my usual somewhat pessimistic self - all the data gathering I've done over the last few months has at least persuaded me that I AM ovulating, and body is more or less doing what it should. I don't feel particularly old even though I'm on the more mature end of the scale in this thread. I have a ton of grey hair already but no wrinkles yet, and DH keeps me laughing all the time which makes the attempts to get pg a little more fun. I exercise pretty regularly (usually 4 hours of classes a week which I love) and while I do eat a bit of rubbish, my diet is mostly pretty good, with the occasional weak day where I cba to cook so it's pizza.

'Trying to relax' sounds like a bit of a contradiction in terms, doesn't it? I do feel more chilled this time around though ... hitting a bit of a rhythm now and getting used to what to expect.

Sorry AF caught up with you Celiz. Fingers crossed for better luck next round.
