Hugh enjoys ISW and his love affair with Doreen. He watches out for skittle tits and weepyitis. Mrs Arseholey Fucknut (Af) shows up when you least want her but brings wine and soft cheese as a consolation prize.

We don't have rules as such but expect to be talked down from the ledge with kind and well meaning but firm words if you get too hysterical. But most importantly don't convince yourself you're pregnant in the tww That is paramount! It messes with your head and makes you crazy crazier

We don't get a lot of baby dust in these here parts. We want a fanny full of determined Doreen, not unicorn farts and gnome tears with extra sparkle. We've been going a while now so the novelty has somewhat worn off and we're slightly battle scarred and bruised in the cervix area.

Post your stats and add your dates. A more lovely, supportive group of ladies you couldn't wish to meet. We've got a few grads sticking around I won't leave and no question is too daft. We have opk experts, cervical mucus management teams and symptom spotters extraudinaire!

WE SHALL WIN IN THE GAME OF SPERM MEETS EGG! IT WILL HAPPEN!

I am so with you all on DTD becoming a chore! Something about "having" to do it to TTC has taken all the fun out of it!! I must make more effort too. Have put on a few pounds the last few months and just not feeling like instigating it....
The other night he made a move after we'd turned the lights out and all I could think was "ooh good it's dark, won't matter that I look bored and we can just get it over with!"

It doesn't help that every time we do it, he now makes some comment about "ooh maybe this time" which would be quite sweet - but it's never in bloody fertile week and I just get wound up and gave to bite my tongue. When it's actually ISW can I heckers get him to get his leg over. He just hasn't grasped the concept of a small fertile period!

I'm looking at ordering my vitamins for next month - only order a month at a time in case we get lucky! Anyhow, after reading up on EPO, decided it might be worth a shot. However, all the packages I've studied show capsules as big as my pinkie!! Does anyone have a recommendation for a brand where the capsules are a bit smaller? Halo

HepKestrel · 19/04/2016 10:11

mayago i just get my epo from boots. If you buy the 500mg dose, you take 2 smaller ones instead of the huge 1000mg pill.

think i'll start taking it tomorrow (cd4) when AF is on her way out.

SuchaJem · 19/04/2016 10:18

moose bless your DH he sounds very sweet Smile loving the phrase heckers too where does this come from?!

Mooseville · 19/04/2016 10:54

Ha ha jem I've no idea! Either Yorkshire where I grew up or just in my ranting brain just then!!!

Jamjar12 · 19/04/2016 11:25

I've always taken pregnacare maya. I bought them in boots on the 3 for 2 offer as they can be used during conception and pregnancy as I was conscious of wasting tablets if I bought lots then got pregnant! They were also the brand I got free samples of when I signed up to the midwife and seem to be the most commonly used in my area. It's not the easiest tablet to swallow though, I have to say! (Particularly when pregnancy sickness kicks in!)

mayago · 19/04/2016 11:40

Thanks Hep! I'm fine with taking two tablets, but would really struggle with that massive one.

Pregnacare do a special vitamin for conception jamjar so I guess I've always dismissed the 'normal' one for before pregnancy! Looking at the fine print, you are most certainly right. Are the tablets massive? It looks like they do a liquid format, but not sure that'd be easier with pregnancy sickness Hmm

SuchaJem · 19/04/2016 11:41

It does sound Yorkshire! My granddad used to say ecky boggy Smile

StarkyTheDirewolf · 19/04/2016 12:28

Hecky thump! By heck! Am I hecklers like! Bloomin' heck! Grin northern phrase! Although it's usually a case of drop the 'h' so it's 'eck!'

Glad I'm not the only one here who's finding dtd constantly isn't always as easy as you'd think! DH would like me to take the initiative more often and doesn't want to know when my fertile periods are any more as it is starting to put him off a bit, though he's as excited as I am to start a family. Trouble is, if I jump on him it's usually because it's my fertile period Blush - I like the closeness but often I'm just too knackered in the evenings and prefer to cuddle up and sleep!

I'm convinced Pregnacare Conception made my cycle longer than normal. I was using it when I first started trying and was 3 days late, which was unheard of for me. Also turned my pee a luminous yellow! These days I take Seven Seas Trying for a Baby instead, alongside that co-enzyme q10 thingy and EPO. I swear if you shook me I'd rattle. Btw Mayago - while the EPO pills I take are large, they go down easy for some reason.

Hugs to you orchard for the 'biologically 27' comment! I guess that makes me younger than my DH then Grin.

So the games are over, I'm pretty sure AF is in the house. Bus ticket for the 18th May please. sigh

I was convinced I'd have a baby when I was 28 and in 2016. Both these things are not going to happen now. And next month will be the first month where I could have been having a baby rather than still trying for one.

Think I need to go on a cheese and wine shop!

kavanaughkj · 19/04/2016 14:15

Flowers to you, Fishy - sorry AF has got you. Trying for so long must be hard, but at least you've given yourself plenty of wiggle room with the time of your life you've started TTC. I'd been planning to have my first in 2016 too, but even if it isn't this year we can both still be aiming to be brewing up a baby for at least a portion of the year!

Cheese and wine are always a good idea.

Ni4444 · 19/04/2016 14:48

Sorry about the red wave of doom getting you Fishy 🌊

Speaking of supplements does anyone know (Kwick maybe?) do you keep taking coq10 and vitex agnus castus throughout the whole cycle?

5tardusty · 19/04/2016 16:28

Sorry the witch got you fishy. I'll see your cheese and wine and raise you patè!

HepKestrel · 19/04/2016 16:39

sorry fishy

LovelyFishy · 19/04/2016 16:46

Oooh, patè! That'll be on the menu for tomorrow. Thank you everyone, you are all amazing. Smile I did think of a positive - didn't waste an expensive test this month!

Kwick709 · 19/04/2016 17:26

I had another scan today: no heartbeat and not the right growth. I am to stop my meds and I will likely miscarry in the next few days - although I can go with medical intervention if I want. I am devastated.

Jamjar12 · 19/04/2016 17:31

Oh Kwick! I don't know what to say, what devastating news. I'm so upset for you, wish I could give you a hug and help you through this. I'm so sorry ThanksThanksThanksThanks

twinkydink · 19/04/2016 17:32

kwick I am so sorry. I have no words of advice but I couldn't read and run. I wish I could give you an actual hug rather than a virtual one xx

Pugmummy87 · 19/04/2016 17:33

Oh kwick I am so so sorry. Massive hugs to you. I have no words other than I am thinking of you. Flowers

To those who replied to my previous comment, thank you. Feeling better today.

Jamjar12 · 19/04/2016 17:37

Maya, I didn't know they did a liquid form but not sure that'd be easier! I've got a fancy box for these few weeks that include an extra yellowy tablet for eye and brain growth which is much easier to swallow. The big brown one is fine if it goes straight down but difficult if it loiters a bit as it tastes rather musty!

InspectorPenguin · 19/04/2016 17:44

Kwik, you poor thing, I am so very sorry. I can't imagine the sadness you must be feeling.
I hope you have family and friends you can lean on to help you through this face to face.

Be kind to yourself and allow all the time you need to grieve and recover x

LovelyFishy · 19/04/2016 17:51

So very sorry to hear that Kwick. Take care of yourself. Flowers

5tardusty · 19/04/2016 18:07

kwick i am so sorry. That's really fucking shit. Thanks
