I just spotted that the old thread was now closed to new messages so thought I'd start another. The old thread for reference: www.mumsnet.com/Talk/conception/2457787-TTC-1-after-miscarriage-looking-for-some-buddies

Thanks for the advice. When I went to the EPU on Friday they didn't mention that as a possibility but will keep an eye on it.

My hormones are clearly rising or at least fluctuating so something is up.

I've also just managed to put my back out so laid up in agony. This day just keeps getting better! X

HopefulKate1980 · 31/01/2016 17:30

Sorry to be annoying but does anyone think there is a tiny tiny chance I could be pregnant again?

Surgery - 6th Jan followed by course of antibiotics

Stopped bleeding - 15th Jan

Still positive tests

Had sex twice 19th & 20th

Last week had two negative p test then went positive again on Thursday (tested from 8am until 7pm)

Friday & Sat - brownish spotting

Today - positive Opk and p test

AmyB1986 · 31/01/2016 17:39

The only way to find out is to go and have your blood hcg measures again to see if it risen Kate but if it's a molar then it will fluctuate. Request a scan ASAP too

HopefulKate1980 · 31/01/2016 17:41

Bugger it sounds like it might be a molar. I'll call them tomorrow. Thanks so so much for advice xx

AmyB1986 · 31/01/2016 17:44

Usually partial molar pregnancies radiate around the 100 mark for blood dropping and rising around there. They don't normally double every 48 I don't think like a normal pregnancy would. 6th of Jan is along time since surgery to still be getting positive pregnancy tests.

smellsofelderberries · 31/01/2016 18:05

Kate do you have any idea hen you might have ovulated? DTD 11 and 10 days ago a new BFP is possible, how faint are the BFPs now? There's really no way of knowing unless you go to your GP and request blood tests 48hours apart.

HopefulKate1980 · 31/01/2016 18:10

I'm using the clearblue digital tests which say 1-2 weeks. I thought I felt ovulation pains the day before we had sex but I'm not 100%...

I'll call the doctor tomorrow thanks for advice all X

Hello everyone, sorry I've not kept up very well this week as I was feeling a bit low, and then work went crazy and finally a lovely busy weekend so I'm exhausted but feeling in a better place.

Ewcm watching here, and keeping my womb warm, as before Grin

I've stopped trying to lose weight, just focusing on healthy eating and more protein, the serving of full fat dairy a day, and more walking. Still keeping up the caffeine and booze avoidance. I'm also trying some extra folate pills - solgar metafolin. And the co q-10, and the the dha, and the preconception supplement that also has myo inositol... Oh, and the spatone. I'm probably fussing far to much but at the very least something is making my skin look better than it has in years!

I think supplements may be my way of coping Grin

AmyB1986 · 31/01/2016 19:42

Bonxie I've just ordered the seven seas preconception supplement. I was using the pregnacare one but it was making me sick. Don't know if the seven seas one will be any better but worth a go.
In the meantime I'm taking just plain folic acid, bee pollen and drinking aloe cranberry gel. It's suppose to help with absorbing nutrients.

AmyB1986 · 31/01/2016 19:43

Kate I really hope this is a new pregnancy for you Grin will be so happy if it is.

Loki17 · 31/01/2016 19:47

I'm taking the 7 seas tablets and 75 mg of aspirin. With my dodgy blood I feel like the aspirin is a precaution incase it was a clotting issues that caused my mc. I had hypertension with dd so the doctor said it wouldn't hurt. Wish I knew when to expect af.

I think whatever helps us through Mrsunsure, whether that's relaxing and not fussing too much, or if you're like me faffing about and lining up the pills and the chia seeds Grin

Bonxie · 31/01/2016 20:11

Ah sorry for that, I'm on a train with dodgy signal.

HopefulKate1980 · 31/01/2016 20:32

I think they definitely help. There is a charity dedicated to promoting nutrition to help fertility and miscarriage. My friend swears by them. You have to send a piece of your hair to them and they test it to see what nutrients you are deficient in. My friend discovered she was low in zinc, so upped her dose and got pregnant v quickly after several miscarriages and difficulty conceiving.

It's important to relax though too so whatever works for you. X

It's called Foresight or Foresight Conception ... I haven't done the hair analysis but my friend said they were amazing for her.

X

JoMalones · 31/01/2016 21:57

Wow this post has been busy this weekend! Congrats to those that dtd! Kate i hope you get some answers this week.

Been teary all weekend, these hormones are horrible! I've had pmt and don't normally get it which hasn't helped either.

Jumping on the exercise and healthy eating and supplements as from tomorrow. Found I put on 2st since the summer - horrified!

redstrawberries101 · 31/01/2016 22:07

I'm defo going to look at that charity, thanks for sharing! It can't do any harm.

Smells of elderberries - I'm just being silly but I don't feel like looking at another hpt until there's a chance I'm pregnant again. I do see why it would be good to get closure though so maybe tomorrow I'll take the plunge.. I'm almost 4 weeks from the medically managed miscarriage, I only stopped bleeding two weeks ago though. This morning I had period pains but nothing since.

LuckyinOctober · 31/01/2016 23:34

bonxie EWCM obsessing here too - in my case because it's come early for me on CD11 and when I did an OPK it was negative so not sure how much weight to put on it. We dtd yesterday so hopefully covered either way ..

amy I'm another seven seas pre-conception person, I feel a definite wellbeing boost from taking them so would recommend.

Welcome mrs unsure and congrats on dtd again after miscarriage loki, a new normal is a good way to frame it I think.

Brenna24 · 31/01/2016 23:54

Kate it could be either a new pregnancy or the aforementioned molar pregnancy. Just keep nagging them into measuring your blood HCG until you have some idea of what is going on. I am keeping my fingers crossed for a pregnancy for you.

I go away for 1 weekend and you guys have talked lots. It is hard to keep up. Grin

Welcome new person whose name I have forgotten.

Yesterday we had my friend's funeral. It was very sad but also a lovely funeral. It was a humanist ceremony in the crematorium where we had my sister's funeral 2.5 years ago. They minister did a lovely job, she shared a lot of stories of my friend's life so that all of us from different parts got to hear about the other parts. We all had a good chat afterwards at the reception. I managed to get DH up to the reception desk in the hotel I had booked for us and was part way into the booking before the penny dropped. Grin He was going down with a cold which made his arthritis flare up and really not feeling well but he was so happy with the hotel. We spent a while in the sauna and the jaccuzzi which helped. He loved the night out too. I had bought a fancy chiffon and lace teddy and knickers which he loved, so we managed some BD too. We didn't manage to go to any museums today as he was too sore and tired but he was saying on the way back that he had the best, most memorable 40th and is a very happy man.

AmyB1986 · 01/02/2016 06:51

Morning ladies, up early for work today. Been up since 5.45 getting ready for my 7.30 shift start so I can eat and mentally prepare myself.
I know I said I would test again but I have and it was a definite negative, nothing there at all so I'm awaiting af. Hopefully it won't be too long (never thought I'd say that).

Brenna glad your friend had a nice service in their memory and that you and your husband spent some quality time together.

DH and I are planning a trip away to the coast when the weather warms up a bit. We're in the process of converting a minibus into a camper van at the minute so I'm hoping that will be done in time for April so we can spend the weekend right near the sea.

Hope you all have a lovely day... Roll on 2pm so I can finish work (not even there yet and already can't wait to finish)!

MissClarke86 · 01/02/2016 07:33

God I feel rough today :( Was debating going into work but am so fed up of having sporadic days off as this horrible miscarriage and all that goes with it seems to come and go. I feel like my whole body hurts. I'm still waiting for results of swabs I had a week ago to test for infection.

Need to ring the EPU as I'm still getting positive tests...but that will be more waiting for a scan, more waiting for a D&C. The physical effects are not effecting me emotionally. I have had enough. Sorry for the rant.

MissClarke86 · 01/02/2016 07:34

*now effecting me emotionally.
