Hello, I'm new to MumsNet. We are officially going to ttc baby #1 at the end of September but I'm 1dpo and in the 7 days leading up to ovulation we DBD 4 times. I'm so so hoping that AF won't make an appearance on the 22nd August! Just starting the tww. Anyone else in this boat, or anyone else ttc on cycle 1?

I think I can see a faint line too
If its stll early days it could only be a faint reading. Maybe try again tomorrow morning or Wednesday (if you can wait that long!) I think it's strongest in morning?

Thank you all, I was just starting to give up hope of TTC. It's a complete surprise as had no symptoms. Told dp and he's just in shock!

Can I hop in? I'm 26, started TTC#1 on Sunday! DH got offered a good job after uni finishes which will require relocating to a significantly cheaper area so we decided to go for it. I have a 35day cycle so I'm hoping that doesn't hinder things.

What does 'ww' stand for? I get the gist of most of the acronyms on this part of the forum but not sure what ww is

I bought ovulation tests though I know nothing about them really, I'm guessing that I start using them a week before predicted ovulation day? Do you use them daily? I'm not using any apps or anything, just my calendar. I track AF already and have done for years so I used those dates on the ovulation predictor calendars to work out when I would likely ovulate and I plan to use the tests to work out when in my cycle it does all happen really.

Good luck! I don't use ovulation tests but track on an app but no luck yet.

2 ww is the 2 Week Window. This is the two weeks between ovulation and your period when you don't know if you've conceived or not. If you're like the rest if us this 2 weeks will become hell and you'll analyse every little 'symptom' you have! Lol. Don't worry though, you're not alone! X

I think most people's ovulation window is 2 weeks before their next period. So I would start using them around that time. It takes a while to figure out your dates but you will get there. The best thing is bed as often as you can, that way your covered if you ov early or late.

So, I'm like some of you, taking a step back from trying and just seeing what happens. To take the pressure off myself.
But today here I am, waiting for she who must not be named to arrive (or not!) analysing everything! "I'm peeing a lot today aren't I?" "i feel more tired than usual" "i can really smell that strong smell" Argh! 😠
Honestly we should not decide to conceive, we should just let it be a happy little accident!!

5 days and counting overdue. Finally tested this morning even though I knew the result. bfn. Never been this late before. 😠. It's very annoying.

Urgh I know Paige it's so annoying isn't it. Should be due tomorrow going on the average but last month was a few days early and it has been a few days later occasionally so who knows!
You do get excited when it's late though don't you. Hard not to!

Well maybe it's still too early to show on test? Don't give up yet x

I've been to the docs today to have a chat about my light periods as I've been worrying myself. Anyway the good news is the most important thing is that they are regular and that the OPK says I'm ovulating, I'm just lucky that they are light and it won't be effecting my chances :-)

Always best to get checked Ren. That's good news at least.

I'm not getting my hopes up. I would have got a positive by now, so I guess I'll just have to wait. Lol

Had a follow up appointment with my Dr so told her about my AF being MIA. She has sent me to get a blood test.

My AF arrived yesterday - bitch! Does anyone ever get a period that seems different to others? I never really suffer much with period pain but this month (and had one last year) has been pretty bad! Was regular etc. Just wondering.

I'm 30, nearly 31 and this'll be both our first child.
I'm currently 10dpo, I used OPKs so fairly sure this is accurate. BFN this morning (FRER with a stinking Evan line) and I'm already fed up!
