Hi ababsurdum i'm feeling a lot better today thanks. Still got a nasty chest but, hopefully getting there. Oo 2ww for you, I don't know what I am lol x

totalnamechanger · 27/01/2016 21:55

This thread has become so unbelievably busy in the last few days and so has my work so I'm going to have to take another day or two to catch up. On page 30 (top of) so getting there...

I'm loving the stories. I'm a fan of Liz and Arlene and now even more so. So thank you!

There are so many of us here, all for different reasons and maybe all a bit more cautiously optimisticish for those experiences. And nearly all a bit more unenthusiastic about dtd days 8-bloody 18.

Cd 2 for me. First AF post miscarriage and thankfully uneventful. I'm not sure if I could call myself zen anymore having started a new compulsion to poa ic opk just in case on the last couple of days of my last cycle. But they're so cheap.

kitkat I use epo, grapefruit juice, lots of drinking water and even roubusstin cough syrup and that seems to work ok.

Good luck for anyone in the TWW.

inshock are you in shock again??!

ChewyGiraffe · 27/01/2016 23:08

Just a quick 'yay' for Inshock! What wonderful news - lucky you!

I think it's pretty cool timing actually. I'd crack on with those job applications and get yourself back to work before you start showing/need to notify for you MAT leave! And don't worry about moving: (a) newborns take up precious little room and (b) I've lost count of the number of parents I've met who moved/renovated/were in general chaos at home when baby arrived. There's definitely something about being pregnant that focuses your mind in terms of where you live. We took newborn DD back to my mums as we'd just ripped out our kitchen (with the new one nowhere near ready), and knocked through a wall in the living room. But we coped, and eventually forgot how stressy it all was. And you'll cope fine too.

FatFlotillas · 27/01/2016 23:12

I'd love to introduce to you, ladies, my baby boy, Ezra Michael, born 3 days early on Monday in the pool only 40 minutes after arriving at the MLU (i managed to get to 6cm dilated at home which I feel rather chuffed about). He is 7lb 13 and a little belter.

Please don't give up believing. Keep getting the sperm in (Total, your news is thrilling - congratulations, love - but I think your success with one sesh of rumpy-pumpy was extraordinary and brilliant good luck).

Yes...keep getting the sperm in - by syringe if that's what it takes Wink

Thanks

Congratulations Flotillas! What an absolutely beautiful boy. And well done for your labour. Hope you have a wonderful time getting to know him.

Btw I think you were referring to inshock but the fact you are able to post at all is pretty admirable Smile

TwinklyMusic · 28/01/2016 07:32

Congratulations Flotillas! Flowers Such great news! Well done to both of you! Lovely boy!

That's our third newborn in just a few weeks, isn't it? With cloud and Grizzer giving birth in December!

And Inshock, wow! That's really lucky. Congrats! Flowers. Don't worry - I'm sure you will manage when it comes to it.

Oliveisme · 28/01/2016 10:45

Fatflotillas big congratulations! Your baby boy is gorgeous!! Flowers Thank you for sharing your story with us 😘. Ababsurdum thank you so much for those links! Really useful. I have started taking the EPO. I drink green tea anyway but will definitely up the water intake too. Inshock congratulations on your news. 💐😊

kitkat2016 · 28/01/2016 11:47

Big congratulations fatflotillas - what a beautiful baby boy - how lovely :)

Does anyone else take green tea as well - heard mixed reports about it so am now confused as to what to do?!
how much EPO are you taking oliveisme - what is the recommended and best dose?

Many thanks again ababsurdum for the links which are so helpful :)

Good luck to us all for our bfps soon :)

Oliveisme · 28/01/2016 22:21

kitkat2016 Hello...hope you're well 😊 I'm taking EPO 1000mg 1 twice a day and started that a few days ago. Although I have read that the recommended dose is between 1500 mg and 3000mg. But I will continue to take this until the end of my ovulation days which is also recommended and see what happens! I drink green tea anyway but it was good to read that it may also benefit conception!! I do drink coffee but only in the morning and I get bored of regular white tea so green tea is my saviour when I don't want to drink plain water. 😘

kitkat2016 · 28/01/2016 23:03

thanks oliveisme Im Ok thanks - hope you're well too.

I think I will also take this and hope it helps with conception - which brand are you taking? Is there a recommended one for ttc do you think?

Oliveisme · 29/01/2016 08:14

Hello kitkat2016 I bought EPO from Holland and Barrett
but I don't think it matters which brand. Good Luck 😊

kitkat2016 · 29/01/2016 11:29

many thanks - good luck to you too :)

FattyFishwife · 29/01/2016 13:45

and...what can i say fatflotillas you certainly breed them handsome!! what an absolute corker he is. Much love luck and happiness to you all, and what a beautiful name too

FattyFishwife · 29/01/2016 13:52

Im currently now 15dpo :O still no signs of af (my cycle is usually 23/24 days, i ovulated on day 11, so the witch is officially 1 day late.....tardy madam!)

still BFNs tho on FRER at 10 dpo, I/C's at 10, 11, 12, 13, 14 dpo and poundland midstream today too.

this is todays poundland midstream...absolutely nada on it. even when i dismantled it, tweaked it, shone a bright light in its eyes....zilch!

im just hoping that AF has not decided to arse about and give me a longer cycle just for shits and giggles :D

however, i did cave last night and ate some pate to comfort my emotionally fraught state....pate is good for tears!!

olive and kitkat hope that EPO does the trick, i bought mine in super strength from ebay, as the longer time went on TTC, it was a cheaper option (I was taking around 12 supplements daily and it got a bit expensive if i didnt buy on ebay.)

Fatty - 1 day late you say? Go on, please be pregnant, it would properly cheer me up!

Although something else quite cheery - I went to a toddler class recently and got chatting to a mum I didn't know well. I'd seen her previously and am totally ashamed to admit I'd wondered whether she might be this little boy's grandmother - not that she looks like a granny at all, she has lovely skin, gorgeous long glossy hair, dresses beautifully etc, but as they say it takes one to know one and I could tell she's probably some way over 40. Then she describes this cracking, super-confident 18 month old to me as her "little miracle surprise" but said he would almost certainly be an only child. Shock I'm now dying to ask her exactly how old she was when she conceived - but of course that would be so rude! Anyway, the more mums like this that I meet (and I can think of several) the more I come to realise there must be lots of us 40+ mums about - all fabulous.

Day 6 for me ... just waiting, waiting ... [stressy, slightly bored emoticon]

ChewyGiraffe · 29/01/2016 14:21

Fatty - was just thinking, I'm not sure I'd set too much store by those Poundland tests for this early stage. Is it time to treat yourself to another FRER? Or one of those Superdrug early ones - link - ?

ababsurdum · 29/01/2016 14:39

Fatty I will keep everything crossed that you are pregnant. You wouldn't be the first person to have a false negative.

Chewy, your mission is to find out how old this glamorous lady is and report back. I am a bit Envy at lovely skin and glossy hair but she sounds lovely (I have a cold and am feeling and looking rough!).

Are you cd6 or 6dpo?

I am 4 or 5 dpo. Still far too early for anything. Am fed up already!

FattyFishwife · 29/01/2016 14:40

Cheers chewy I've heard about those super drug ones, our super drug shut down, so , I'll use that link and buy some online. Thanks for your kind words and support :)

Next time you meet mrs woman...ask her how old she was. .you might just find you bond over shared experience xxx

FattyFishwife · 29/01/2016 14:41

Don't you find that the two goes slower than ANY other fortnight in the entire calendar :(

FattyFishwife · 29/01/2016 14:41

That should have read two week wait

wotsitsmaltesers · 29/01/2016 14:53

Congratulations FatFlotillas - he is gorgeous and you and he a great inspiration to us all.
Inshock - congratulations - be happy, it's a baby, everything else will sort itself out.
Fingers crossed for everyone else.

ababsurdum · 29/01/2016 15:23

Indeed it does Fatty. I'm trying not to think about it too much as I've still got 7 or 8 days left (my LP is usually 12 days). Don't want to get my hopes up this month.
