AF arrived this evening. I need to have blood tests on day 2,3 or 4 (ideally3) but can't do sat or sun. So should I count tmrw as day 1 and go Monday? Or today, and go tomorrow....?

BeedlesPineNeedles · 06/11/2015 06:59

keep I'm sure I've read that if the proper red blood starts after 4pm you should count the next day as day 1 (i.e. today)

Imps9 · 06/11/2015 07:34

I GOT MY PEAK. I GOT MY PEAK.

Got pant snot still too, which is good.

Keep I would suggest Monday being closer to day 3 rather than today. Maybe give someone at the clinic a call though.

keepitgoing · 06/11/2015 08:42

Yes I'm gonna go with today as cd1

Go imps a Friday night shag

beedle remind me why you won't be popping one or two back next cycle?

OP posts:
BeedlesPineNeedles · 06/11/2015 11:22

not entirely sure keep I Think that they don't consider the cycle direct after ivf to be a "proper" cycle. I usually end up with a 28 day cycle, so there probably is some truth in it. Perhaps if it was a medicated FET it might be OK but we're planning on a natural one. And it will only be 1 frosty they put back!

Woohoo for the peak imps will you be in full seduction mode this evening, or has MrImps already been warned that he needs to do his stuff :o

Imps9 · 06/11/2015 11:26

or four. We need to up the quota of babies on this thread

Speaking of babies, there must be some who are imminent or recently arrived. UPDATES PLEASE BROOKERS.

Imps9 · 06/11/2015 11:36

Mr Imps has been informed that I've had a smiley face and that Sexy Time would be useful.

For some reason, seducing him doesn't tend to work Hmm.

Pastamancer · 06/11/2015 12:35

Glad to hear romance isn't dead in Chez Imps Xmas Grin

Imps9 · 06/11/2015 16:21

Oh yes, it's all Barry White, candles, rose petals and sexy undies here Pasta... [santa]

Imps9 · 06/11/2015 16:22

Oh, that wasn't the emoji I was looking for - how do you do a grinning Father Christmas?

Pastamancer · 06/11/2015 16:27

fgrin = Xmas Grin

QueenMolotov · 07/11/2015 20:42

We were in the car this evening and our dds were playing and generally being very sweet to each other. DH just said 'We should have another one, you know. It'd be really nice'.

He really does want another, doesn't he?

keepitgoing · 08/11/2015 09:10

He does mol

Appt was good yesterday, they did amh test and that will inform LP/sp. Not going to get in before Xmas so scratch next cycle and start LP, or if sp scratch next cycle and start in Jan. Have to decide re embryoscope - another £600/700...

OP posts:
QueenMolotov · 09/11/2015 07:25

... Grin...

CD13 yesterday. Full-on pant snot for me and ovulation cramps the evening. I'm certain I ov'd yesterday and we had The Sex and completely flouted contraception last night!!!

It was such a great feeling afterwards. The pessimism and doubts seem to have been overtaken by happy thoughts and positivity.

So, we're in with as good a chance as any this month. Dice rolled! Hello 2ww!

Imps9 · 09/11/2015 08:19

Are you going to go with the private clinic then Keep? Sounds like it will be quicker. How do prices compare? Remind me what an embryoscope is...

Great stuff Mol! Glad you're feeling positive! You will get your BFP this month and I am brooking no argument.

AFM, ovulated yesterday I think. We had The Sex on Friday night. Aren't men strange though - I told Mr Imps that it would probably be a good idea to have a shag on Saturday too but nope - he just wasn't interested. Didn't even try. It's just so illogical - he gets down in the dumps that we don't have a child yet but when it comes to the one time of the month he can actually do something about it, he somehow thinks that there's no need to have any more sex than usual and that it will somehow just happen. And when AF arrives he'll be disappointed.

Still, we had The Sex twice in the run-up to ov, so we're still in with a chance. Not that it will happen, but at least it means I can indulge in some symptom-spotting/wishful thinking.

Imps9 · 09/11/2015 08:21

Sorry, I think I ov'd on Saturday, not yesterday.

keepitgoing · 09/11/2015 12:19

Well that's sounds perfect timing imps, at least you're in with a chance. Poor mrimps, it's horrible that all this affects our sex lives and takes the fun out of it

We had a cheeky shag this morning as kip had a 'lie in' after her bday party yesterday afternoon. I can't remember the last time we managed a morning shag, she's always up so early...

I think so imps prices are broadly similar for ivf, though about £500 extra if we need icsi. I'm hoping we won't though mrK's results weren't great - as usual good count motility and volume but poor morphology, just 2%, he was sad... We are going to see what the sample is like on the day. So given the consultant is the same the main difference is convenience as I think they're more flexible with appt times, and do ET 7/7 and EC 6/7, vs 6/7 and 4/7. Also if we are in this for multiple rounds I'm sure it'll be faster

Embryoscope takes non stop pics as embies grow so should help them pick the best, but surely if you don't have very many it's not that useful. I'll have to do some research. This doc said don't bother with embryo glue, and is also sceptical on immunes

Go mol go

beedle are you feeling OK?

OP posts:
hinkyhonk · 09/11/2015 16:20

Waddling in for duty. Am 37+5 today and section is booked for 2 weeks time. I must be the only preggo who is desperately trying to hang on longer in late pregnancy.

Still lacking a name for this little chap (any ideas?) and anxiety is ramping up about whether he'll be ok when he comes out and how to avoid any infections that might cause a return trip to intensive care. And breathe....

Think I'm just stressing about everything possible.

QueenMolotov · 09/11/2015 20:13

I love thinking baby names, hinky Grin And I'm a lot nicer than most on Baby Names SmileBrewThanks It's no good us saying what names we like: what names/name types do you like? Let's play the Name Game from there!

Have you talked about the concerns you have about your baby to your midwife or OB? Your fears are understandable given your history but is there any reason to think the same might happen again?

QueenMolotov · 09/11/2015 20:25

Also, I'm getting hefty hints that my DM would like us to have another baby. She keeps speaking very positively about various so-and-so's who have 3 dcs. We watched Harry Potter yesterday and she said to my eldest dd when we were watching a scene from the Weasley's kitchen: 'Your family dinner table will look like that Smile'. The biggest thing, though, is that she looked me in they eye when we saw each other tonight and said 'You'll have another baby, you know'.

Woah. Does she know what we did last night? BlushGrin

It's nice to think that I could actually, like, for real, get pg this month. No 'I think we got the timing wrong' or 'We did it a couple of days before ov but ...' because I know ov'd yesterday and we did it!

I don't have a history of quick conceptions so I am not really expecting to be pg. It just feels like a great big weight is lifting.

Imps9 · 09/11/2015 21:04

Your DM's comments reminds me of the Friends storyline when Monica and Ross' dad was giving Monica and Chandler tips on the best positions for having sex in order to get pregnant when they told him they were trying for a baby. Glad your DM is so much more positive than DMIL.

What type of names do you like Hinks? Modern? Traditional? Biblical? Royal? If you want, you can have the name that I love but would never get past Mr Imps - Sullivan. There you go, all yours.

Nearly time for the new thread...the next person to post can have the honour...

keepitgoing · 10/11/2015 08:19

mol that's spooky, your mum must know you well!

hinks I can't remember your story, but brooking all is well for this little one. Ooh, newborn snuggles soon, you lucky thing

imps i recently bought the friends box set off eBay it's my guilty pleasure when I need to cheer up, I've not watched them in years and am loving it. E4 have stopped playing them!

QueenMolotov · 10/11/2015 08:32

stop us now! We're having such a good time, we're having a ball and BROOKING NO ARGUMENT!

Voila Smile

And the title should start as 'Don't stop us now!' (First time of a new thread/thread continuation for me)
