trigger shot done last night, so now I have seriously sore boobs, to go with my tender nips, bloated tummy and sore hip. Luckily I'm working from home today in nice soft comfy clothes.

It is just me who was a little bit disappointed when I discovered that the trigger shot doesn't actually have a trigger? Just your usual boring stabbing device.

my "trigger" shot was a pre-filled injection device that looks a bit like a fat pen, whereas my stimming shots were normal syringes that I had to fill myself from a Little vial of menopur.

MrB's jizz jar is on the table next to me (unused!) and its OK I'm at home not at work, and I'm wondering why no one has invented a sample pot with a wider opening, to make it easier for them to aim into :o

My Gonal-F (stims) is in a pre-filled pen as is my trigger. The Cetrotide is exciting - I have to mix powder with water in a little vial, then inject it with a normal syringe. I did use Supracur (?!) which was a normal syringe too, but that was for downregging which I don't now.

I really feel like all this knowledge and these skills learned thanks to IVF should be put to better use. Seems to be so wasted keeping it to myself. Not much call for it on my CV/in my day job though.

I don't Think I'd want to know how he was supposed to hand over the special condom. MrB usual "does his bit" at home and then we drive to the hospital with the pot tucked inside his trousers or my bra - I wouldn't be doing that with a used condom, however special it was :o

Just choked on my banana with all this talk of special condoms. Sounds bloody awful. Hilarious to think of you transporting a pot of jizz in your bra Beedles - I hope you'll share that nugget of history with Beedles Jnr when he/she's older.

Am surprised that Mr B can jizz at home though - at BH they're absolutely adamant that no samples can be given anywhere other than the special Jizz Rooms (they don't call them that). They did tell the story at the seminar we went to though of the chap who went out to his car in the car park to do it Shock

MrK did it at home too, then had to drive in rush hour traffic... You have 1 hour to get it to the lab.

The condom - they say you can have sex, bleurgh the idea is terrible isn't it??

well they do have a "men's room" with vidoes and Magazines available [boak] but as long as we can get there within an hour its quite ok to do it at home. And MrB admits he finds it a lot easier at home! First cycle they gave him a "production" time after EC so he had no choice but to do it there, it was so rubbish they made him do it again Shock Since then all samples have been produced in the comfort and privacy of our house (definitely not in the carpark)

Hey all, sorry for absence, life got busy and just haven't been on mumsnet much since the dadsec rubbish.

I'm ok, waiting to ovulate and hoping that the timing means I can go to Coventry for the NK cell tests. Had some cm this week so was worried I was having a random shorter cycle than my normal long ones, but so far so good, I haven't ovulated and really hoping I don't until the 5th. As I can manage the 13th November as have child care lined up for ds2 and ds1 could go to an after school club. But pretty much any other day is a no no.

Currently enduring toilet training with ds2. Seems to have cracked wee's but refusing completely to poo in a toilet. Went 48 hours between poo's until he snuck off this morning and did one whilst lay under a table in the playroom. Thankfully I don't trust him so instead of pants he is wearing pull ups, which we are calling "car pants" so at least it wasn't much different than changing a nappy!!

Fingers firmly crossed for beedle, and in due course Imps and Keep. Imps did you go to Coventry yet?

Loops good to see you - always glad to hear of more poo stories! Did you have another chem last cycle?

Am not going to Coventry - BH is going to give me treatment for NK cells (and clotting issues) without making me do any tests. They said that the treatment isn't harmful if there isn't a problem, so it would be more sensible to pay a little bit extra for the treatment than pay for the tests. Makes sense to me!

The NK cell tests they do at BH cost £2k but apparently go into more detail than the Coventry tests. They very much believe in the NK theory at BH though which is good. Hopefully having the additional drugs will make a difference next cycle. Worth a shot anyway.
