I have survived the weekend and hopefully done the last stimming injection. I was feeling relly quite bloated and uncomfortable on Saturday night, I don't remember feeling quite this bad before EC on the last attempts. now I have also done somehing to my hip so moving around is really quite painful. At least none of my colleagues are going to Think it strange that I'm working from home from Wednesday,

Dildocam at 1pm, which will show loads of large fabulous follicles :o

Hope everyone enjoyed the exra hour in bed yesterday morning

keepitgoing · 26/10/2015 08:06

Yes, you'll be bloated from all those huge follies beedle good luck for dildocam

Extra hour in bed? Not with a nearly-2-yo! 0520 start for me... Shock Smile at least it's light for my cycle in to work again

Yes, those chubby follies will be making you feel v bloated. Good luck for 1pm.

The lighter mornings are nice while they're here, Keep. Don't like all this darkness.

Imps9 · 26/10/2015 10:44

Ps what have you done to your hip Beedles you silly sausage?

BeedlesPineNeedles · 26/10/2015 11:06

I've no idea what I've done imps the pain is kind of hip/pelvis/ lower back on one side. Generally uncomfortable all the time , but standing up can be take-your-breath-away painful. Would anyone like to diagnose me?? I've had the same Before after chopping Wood, but I've n idea what I did this time, hopefully it will go away in a few Days, and if not I'll be getting some morphone for EC anyway!

Sorry about the early wakings keep :o

Imps9 · 26/10/2015 11:44

Aaaah you clearly have Woodchoppers Hip Beedles. Nasty.

Just had the most bizarre chat with one of the nurses at BH - I phoned about the dates of my cycles and clashing Christmas dates etc and she said "yes, if your next bleed starts on 26 Nov then that's going to be a problem. If you could push it back a week or bring it forward a week, that would be fine?" - so I asked her if he had any advice as to how exactly I could bring my period forward or push it back and she said "well not really - there's not an awful lot you can do". Hmm Confused. Bless them, they're lovely at BH, but that was a very odd conversation.

BeedlesPineNeedles · 26/10/2015 12:54

well imps you could stand on your head constantly from the time you expect AF and not go upright again until a convinient time, therefore you wouldn't have any bleeding until you stand up again. Come on, where's your can do attitude woman!

Good news from my dildocam, 13 follicles around 13-16mm, EC on Thursday :o the slightly bad news is that if we are part of the research study and all the Little embies get frozen, they won't go back next cycle but earliest the one after which will probably clash with Xmas, so we might not get to put one back until january! So if you get the good tips on how to bring AF forward imps I'd like to hear it!!

Imps9 · 26/10/2015 13:06

Oooooooh that's a fab number Beedles - and there aren't any that are too big either!

Yet more delays possibly though - GAH! Do you want to be part of the study? Could it give peace of mind?

Re: adjusting AF timings - influenced by this weekend's clock change and Back To The Future day last week, I'm working on some sort of time travel process. May need a few days to perfect it though.

BeedlesPineNeedles · 26/10/2015 13:43

sounds like a plan imps :o or maybe a harry potter style time-turner?

I definitely want to be part of the study, all the embryos will be in the embryoscope for starters and they have something like 70% success rate for FET with blasto. I realise we'll be waiting longer but the only success we've had was from a FET. Plus if we are part of the study Group we'll know that any embryos have the right no of chromosones, so if it doesn't work in that case its more of a sign that something else is wrong.

Imps9 · 26/10/2015 14:05

Yes, it's got everything going for it apart from the delay.

Mr Imps went for his DNA frag test today - I think it will take a couple of weeks for the results to come back. Hopefully it will all be okay, but we'll just have to deal with whatever the result is.

By the way had anyone heard the new Bros album?? It is totally WICKED. Almost as wicked as my new mint coloured shell suit.

Ooops sorry about that - I think my time machine took me back too far. It may need some adjustments.

keepitgoing · 26/10/2015 14:30

Great follie news beedle so trigger tomorrow. I thought you didn't know if you would be part of the trial, it was blind, but if they freeze all the embies isn't it obvious?

imps that nurse is a bit dim. Did you ask re the pill?

Dh has SA on wed. I have bloods next week, whenever is day 2-4. And we have appt at the priv clinic on sat 7th Smile

OP posts:
Imps9 · 26/10/2015 14:42

Oooh excellent to have all these appointments in the diary Keep! Hopefully you won't need to wait until March on the self-funding option if the SA and bloods are being done so soon.

I did ask re: the pill but she wasn't sure if this was an option. I will wait until AF arrives in Nov and then phone again. If taking the pill for longer isn't an option, I will start the pill in my early Jan/late Dec bleed and then start treatment end Jan/early Feb. Not ideal but don't want any treatment over Christmas.

BeedlesPineNeedles · 26/10/2015 15:14

keep they will be frozen regardless of whether they do the pgs testing or not, so we could be delayed until Jan and then put back untested rubbish embies. What I meant was we might end up not being part of the study at all if they don't Think the embies look good enough to get to blasto, then we'll just have a day 2/3 transfer like we did Before, but we'll still have had the bonus of the embryoscope so nothing to lose.

The hard part might be if we get blastos we won't know how many we actually have until after the first transfer and pregnancy test. So they tell us next week that we have say 2 frosties, but if one is tested and found to be no good we won't know that we only had the one good one until after the first FET. Presumably they will actually tell us if they are tested and none of them are any good, but I'd rather not thnik about that.

Excellent with all those appointments, though maybe still not enough time to get a cycle in Before Xmas

BeedlesPineNeedles · 26/10/2015 15:15

oh and imps you look great in that Shell suit :o

Imps9 · 26/10/2015 16:41

Thanks Beedles

I'd forgotten you'd had day 2/3 transfers up to now. If you get a good haul (which you should) there shouldn't be any reason why they can't get to blasto. BH will always aim for blasto if there are 4 fertilised eggs on the basis that stats say there should be at least one of those that get to blasto stage.

Brooking brooking brooking so hard for you. It's about time I did another celebration dammit.

BeedlesPineNeedles · 27/10/2015 07:36

ah global hypercolour t-shirts, the ones that show the World that you're getting a bit warm and sweaty Before any sweat patches appear!

They've told us 5 fertilised eggs to continue to blasto which sounds similar, but when we had our first meeting with the dr I asked if our most recent attempt ( 2 transferred on day 2 and 2 frozen from about 6/7 fertilised eggs) would have been good enough and the dr said no. Though maybe she got confused and thought we only had 4 fertilised, though she did have our notes in front of her. another question for me to ask on Thursday!

Just cos I thought you'd all want to know, I have really tender nips today, I haven't even done the trigger shot so I don't know what that's all about. though I have a vague recollection of having the same last time - my body is weird.

keepitgoing · 27/10/2015 08:40

We were told 4 at day 2 and wed continue to blast. Maybe it depends on the quality though.

Sore nips? Why that is surely a good sign. What time do you trigger tonight? Exciting!

Ah global hypercolour... Urgh.

If I could get my scratch done next cycle, then feasibly I could start stabbing at start of December and get ET done just before Christmas... We'll see

OP posts:
Imps9 · 27/10/2015 09:46

I had painful nips with my first round pre-trigger but not the second one. Although we all know that it's because you're diffed, nothing to do with the stabbing.

I guess there are still 2 months to go pre-Xmas isn't there? Plenty of time for a cheeky SP!

I've decided that I am definitely going to wait until Jan to go on the pill to start treatment end-Jan. I think a nice chilled out Christmas without being off the booze totally is just what the doctor ordered. Happily this means I can switch off my time machine - although if you want me to send it over to you, I will Beedles.

What time is your trigger tonight?

BeedlesPineNeedles · 27/10/2015 11:20

20:00 this evening, nice and early that I won't be falling asleep beforehand, and also I'll be in nice and early on Thursday so I won't be dying of hunger before EC. though they haven't mentioned that they will be providing a snack after EC, the normal hospital did, now I'm paying for treatment I'm expecting a full 3 course meal!!! But just in case I'll take a snack with me :o

yes imps my body already knows I'm diffed because in the future I have used the time turner to come back and tell myself I will be diffed, or something!

Imps9 · 27/10/2015 11:48

Hmmmm am pretty convinced that the young lass who sits next to me at work is diffed - she hasn't been to our gym class in weeks, citing a back injury, and has been at work for about 10 minutes in total during the past two weeks, leaving early on in the morning to work from home for the rest of the day. Am guessing morning sickness issues.

I may be completely wrong of course, but am braced and ready for the inevitable diffed announcement/constant baby chat.

Hurrumph and sigh.

BeedlesPineNeedles · 27/10/2015 12:03

luckily I didn't realise with my colleague until she had a tiny but obvious bump (she was only about a size 8), she's now looking really lovely, about 30 weeks with a nice neat bump. If I ever get diffed I'm sure I'll go from ivf-bloated to whale-like with nothing in between! I've managed to avoid a fair amount of baby chat but sometimes its impossible Sad

Pastamancer · 27/10/2015 12:04

Sit in her chair Imps, it might be catching

Imps9 · 27/10/2015 13:06

Oooh yes I shall go and plonk my rump on her chair later when no one's looking. Although that said, I may until she's confirmed her diffedness - don't want anything rubbing off if in fact she's got a STD or anything like that.

It's always the initial pregnancy announcement that's a boot in the gut - am usually okay when that's out of the way. Although beautiful bumps draped in super-trendy maternity clothes do make me a bit Envy too.

Pastamancer · 27/10/2015 13:13

If it helps I'm drowning in shit here today, DD2 will just not stop shitting :(

Pastamancer · 27/10/2015 13:14

Pregnancy is kind of an STD...
