Hope all went well and that there were no bladder piercing incidents this time Beedles. Time to put your feet and and be waited on hand and foot.

BeedlesPineNeedles · 29/10/2015 10:38

Sorry to keep you waiting! I'm now tucked up in bed with a hot water bottle, tea and cookies :-)

It all went well, we got 14 eggs :o :o Apparently the dr we saw at the first appointment was talking out of her arse about the embryos from our last attempt not being good enough for the PGS study (they may not have said that exactly!). If we have 5 or more fertilised tomorrow then we're in, otherwise we're back on sat for a day 2 transfer.

I'm feeling ok apart from the sore tummy and the occassional poker-up-the-arse feeling. Going private is certainly a little nicer, we had a cubicle with actual walls instead of curtains (still a curtain onto the main room), mrB had an armchair, nice soft music playing. We got to see a few of the eggs on the screen as the embryologist was picking them out, whilst the dr was still draining the rest of the follicles.

keepitgoing · 29/10/2015 10:59

14!! Amazing!!!! Did mrB do OK? At first I thought you meant his armchair and music were in the jizz room
Congratulations, I'm sure you'll get 5+ in the morning

Lots of live

PS we have friends using a surrogate in the states. Their young egg donor got 30+ eggs!! I didn't think they want to get that many! We've been told 8-15 or something

OP posts:
BeedlesPineNeedles · 29/10/2015 11:18

MrB did fine, he didn't have to make use of the jizz room luckily!

I cannot imagine how uncomfortable it must feel to have twice as many follicles.

keepitgoing · 29/10/2015 11:22

Yes, I feel it is not right to stimulate that much. Poor woman

Hurrah!!

keepitgoing · 30/10/2015 08:16

OP posts:
BeedlesPineNeedles · 30/10/2015 09:55

MrB is very happy too :o

keepitgoing · 30/10/2015 10:05

Wow wow WOW, so pleased for you!
So now you wait till Jan?

OP posts:
BeedlesPineNeedles · 30/10/2015 10:10

yes I Think so, there is a remote possibility we could fit ET in just before Xmas, but I Think it would be far better to accept that it won't happen until Jan, and have a relaxed Xmas.

Imps9 · 30/10/2015 10:11

Hoooooooray!!!! Yes, what happens now?

Really fab results Beedles - so excited for you!!

Pastamancer · 30/10/2015 11:43

Well done you, 11 is amazing

keepitgoing · 30/10/2015 21:20

Hello and Happy Halloween all!

Beedles, that all sounds very promising so fingers and everything crossed!

Loopy, toilet-training is a real conundrum. Dd2 was day-dry very quickly but has only just become night-dry at 3.6yo. I'm just glad we got there in the end! She's a deep sleeper, so good in some ways but not in others.

I have had such an uncomfortable build-up to, and actual period this month. The good thing is that I think I can feel ovulation but I also think my hormones must be a bit off or something because my boobs hurt from ovulation-day 5 of a new cycle. Then, I had bloating this month: swollen belly (could pass for 16w pg), fingers, everything. I'm on day 5 now and have just broken out in large, red pimples that are lumpy and sore on my chin and neck so I'm feeling like a genuinely ugly, pimply witch this Halloween! Halloween Confused

We got our timing wrong this cycle so I knew I probably wouldn't be pg but I was kind of hoping I was, if that makes sense? I kind of liked my bloated belly and boobs. Everything has shrunk back down today, so time to give it another whirl this month and make sure we do it when I get those ov pains as every bump, baby and 3-child family is making me a bit Envy, which I really do not like. I am happy with my lot, but I should use those jealous feelings constructively and just ... go with it.

QueenMolotov · 31/10/2015 19:39

I meant to say that my plan is to ttc (as in, not go bonkers about it but to make sure we have The Sex at fertile times) for 6m. Then see where we are/how I feel. Then probably give it another 3-6m after that. If we hadn't conceived by next October/November, I'd probably call it a day as by the time another baby was born, dd2 would be past 5yo; dd1 past 8yo. The gaps might be getting too wide ...

There I go again, overthinking! A year. Give it a year.

QueenMolotov · 31/10/2015 19:41

Fuck! My point is that I clearly need something to sort my periods out, so give it a year before doing something to calm them down!

... jeez! ...

BeedlesPineNeedles · 02/11/2015 07:21

keep were we not already friends? Wink By the way I don't know how you can say that kip is sometimes a little tyke, she looks like butter wouldn't melt in her mouth Smile

Back to work in the office today, so I'm wearing jeans not nice soft yoga trousers for the first time in 5 Days. My poor bloated tummy doesn't approve. Luckily I don't Think its actually so bloated that anyone else would notice, but I've dressed to disguise it anyway!

mol at least trying for one month has shown you what your feelings are towards possible no 3. A year sounds like a good idea, if you haven't succeeded by then you'll probably be bored of sex like the rest of us anyway!

keepitgoing · 02/11/2015 09:10

Ah beedle that is how they draw you in – by looking adorable! Have you left your jeans buttons undone today…? How are you feeling apart from bloated? I can’t believe they don’t update you until 6 days. Brooking there are loads of lovely embies waiting. It’ll be really interesting to see the results of the study – I hope you get into it.
Mol as beedle says it’s helpful at least to know more for sure what you want. A year sounds like a good plan, fingers crossed for you
imps what are you up to? Did you have a good weekend?
AFM I am going to be getting my bloods done if when AF shows up at the end of the week. And we have our appt at the new clinic on sat

BeedlesPineNeedles · 02/11/2015 10:22

well apart from the the bloated, slightly crampy tummy, sore boobs, and still sore hip, I'm feeling fine. I'm sort of only expecting 1 or 2 blastos so any more will be a bonus. Not knowing how they are actually getting on is surprisingly fine, I'm sure they are comfy and warm and being well looked after in the embryoscope :-) Though I probably won't be as calm on wed pm waiting for the phone call!

Luckily I have one pair of jeans that I usually need a belt with so I can do them up, but the rest of my jeans will have to wait awhile. Skirts wouldn't be much better as I'm not keen on the tight feeling around my waist from tights when I'm not feeling fat.

Imps9 · 02/11/2015 12:19

Jeans/work clothes and IVF just do not go together. Never do I love track suit bottoms or pyjama bottoms more than during treatment. Can't believe they keep you waiting for so long for an update Beedles!

Mol the timing thing is always tricky. At least the gremlins seem to have gone away now. You WILL get a lovely third baby and I am brooking no argument.

Weekend was nice a chilled thanks Keep. Bit sad too though - friends of ours told us they've separated and another friend whose husband left her last year discovered that the chap she's been seeing for the past 3 months was totally lying about everything to do with himself/his life. So much sadness out there.

Pant snot has started to arrive but egg's nowhere near popping according to ov stick. I've been taking evening primrose oil given lack of pant snot last cycle so hopefully that will make a difference. Bring on shag week!

Imps9 · 03/11/2015 10:10

I know how you all love a pant snot update so I thought I'd report in to inform you that the evening primrose oil seems to be working. Still a big fat no way Jose on the digi egg monitor though.

keepitgoing · 03/11/2015 10:21

Thanks imps I've been holding my breath for an update...

OP posts:
Imps9 · 03/11/2015 12:25

Thought you probably would have been. Sorry to keep you waiting.

BeedlesPineNeedles · 03/11/2015 13:40

excellent news on the pant snot imps I had also spent all morning worrying about it :o

still rather crampy and uncomfortable here, glad that no embies will be replaced this cycle. I am getting a bit worried that we will be in the test Group and they will find that all the embryos are no good, that is assuming we actually get some blastos.
