Do you love being elbow deep in your cervix? Can you tell your cream from your egg? No, we're not talking Cadbury, we're talking vadge juice. Come and join the fingering fillies on our flight of fecundity (see what I did there?).

spinningirl10 · 14/02/2015 14:23

Haha not for sparkly, I mean that they have sparkles/glitter on themGrin far too naughty for our sparkly to eat, although maybe just a small one!

Boosk · 14/02/2015 14:24

Thanks sparkly last year was a pretty awful at times but we ended on a high and dp has never been better.

Boosk · 14/02/2015 14:26

Ooh, yes please spinning! Nom! Grin

Nomio230 · 14/02/2015 14:58

Thanks, Spinning, they taste great!

June I am sooooo glad that you finally got your cup-o-jizz. Fx you get your surge soon.

Mummy, that is terrible news. Sending lots of get well vibes your way.

Lala, that is such lovely news! Sounds like you have had an amazing week and ill be having a very busy few months!

Sparkly, I am the same as you. I don't sleep very well & hate mornings with a passion. 9am classes are the work of the devil as far as I am concerned.

Purds Get well soon. I have heard sloppy baby kisses are the best cure for a cold.

I was originally planning to poas today, as thought I was due on Monday, but since I ov'd late, there is no point yet. Sad

CoffeeTwo · 14/02/2015 15:01

Hi all. Off to have a catch up now.

I'm 12dpo and for the first time in my menstruating life I had spotting this morning. Plus my temp went up. Wtf. Period is due Monday. I wouldn't mind if I came early though it means I can get cracking again.

Nomio230 · 14/02/2015 15:04

Forgot to say Cariad, I hope you have a brilliant time tonight. Sounds like it is just what you need.

Sparkles, I am not sure I can be your friend today, dh is currently watching England vs Italy in the Rugby!

mummyofonesofar · 14/02/2015 15:09

Congrats to another BFP whoever it was!

Thanks for good wishes ladies, still waiting on answers but he had been admitted. Just keeping ourselves busy cleaning. Not the valentines we envisaged.

Climbed up the ladder in the loft to get down our old pram to clean and get ready to sell it and OH panicked that I shouldn't be climbing incase he made me pregnant last night. Bless him. Thinks we are made of China! Far better than exDP who spent on time with mates & in the pub leaving me to paint, build the cot, put together the pram and a new wardrobe (which I then got myself and bump wedged in).

spinningirl10 · 14/02/2015 15:36

Purdey, I've been reading up about ivf and come across iui? In iui the sperm is taken and cleaned and the best ones injected up inside the woman at the right time, yes? And with ivf the sperm and the egg are taken and put together. I believe in some places they will leave this until the blastocyst forms and then return it.
Is success rate higher with ivf? Ah now that I'm writing this I'm guessing ivf is better because they can choose the best eggs?
It must also be better to leave it to the blastocyst stage although I know the hospital near to me will not do this.

Nomio230 · 14/02/2015 15:56

Spinning, I have looked into it too & the success rates seem to be higher with IVF. Probably, as you say, due to the fact that they can pick the best egg.

juneybean · 14/02/2015 15:59

IUI is is a load of bollocks although I guess if you use fresh sperm it works better.

loopylou1984 · 14/02/2015 16:10

I'm really confused, just did another opk to see if the line had got darker and it's actually waaaay lighter so does that mean my surge is over already?
I did one last night too at about 9pm which was negative, so my maximum surge time was 9 - 4 = 19 hours. Or is it because I'm more hydrated?

Am I over thinking this? Xx

juneybean · 14/02/2015 16:12

That's what mine has done sammy, interested to know what it means

loopylou1984 · 14/02/2015 16:18

Oh and Purdey (not sure if you'll remember this conversation as was a while back), but we finally got hold of a breakdown of dh second SA and morph was 5% (3% on first test).
Thing is at the bottom the clinic have put 'advise retest to confirm' but no one passed that on, gp just said it was all normal.
When we saw fertility specialist he said due to the other factors (count/motility etc.) he wasn't worried about the 3% so I suppose he really won't care about 5%! X

MarysPrayer · 14/02/2015 16:24

Sammy I've only tinkered with used opks for 2 cycles, but this has happened to me too. I'm no expert but I've put it down to a few things:

  1. the true surge is pretty short so, unless you tested very frequently, you might miss it, and therefore only get 'nearly' positives.
  2. you might be more hydrated.
  3. they're cheap!
4.( in my case) I'm still breastfeeding so may just be wasting my time Confused
loopylou1984 · 14/02/2015 16:32

Thanks Mary - I'm going to try again at 10 tomorrow after drinking very little but then just wait and see what my temperature does I think! Xx

spinningirl10 · 14/02/2015 16:33

I do think it's very easy to miss the lh surge, as I said earlier mine aren't always accurate which is why I also use cb. You really need to be testing 3/4 times a day to catch it. Ic's are ideal for this because they're so cheap.

auroraboringalis · 14/02/2015 16:41

Feeeeck noooo!!!!!! No bfp!!!! An enormously obvious bfn!!!!!!
I'm so sorry guys! I changed name because I figured I needed to get a grip on myself and my punishment on the march bus was to leave the gin terrace! Not because I am pregnant but because I don't deserve pleasure for being so foolish as to think I might be one of those rare exceptions to the rule! groans

auroraboringalis · 14/02/2015 16:42
Blush Why isn't there a "facepalm" icon? Mnhq?
auroraboringalis · 14/02/2015 16:45
Grin Oh and the ferning looks aaaa-aaaawesome!
victoria401 · 14/02/2015 17:13

spinning ill pm you later about iui x

Sammy I hate to worry you sweetheart but less than 4% morph is concidered subfertile. My hubby has had 3 tests two at 2% and one at 5%. I forget which stage you're at. Have you been referred to a fertility clinic yet? What's the deal in your post code?

woodpigeon123 · 14/02/2015 17:17

AF was due yesterday and still no sign.... My chart is dipping so fully expecting it to make an appearance.... But, but, but... It's late!!

Any thoughts/advice, wise women? x

ThePug · 14/02/2015 17:33

Purdey the ferning is most visible at the top right hand side of the picture I think - straight lines with lines coming off it. Like what's shown here

Seriously recommend other people trying this method, it's less than £20 for the microscope and you can use it to your heart's content over & over again!

Does everyone have romantic plans for tonight? I don't! Sainsburys chinese readymeal (a treat as no cooking involved) and The Voice/whatever is on TV after that for us. I have just put a very large chocolate cake in the oven though and will hopefully get as far as icing it with some psycho love hearts etc before we want to eat it for pudding.

Juney I've got to ask (and sorry if you've already said, I've not been here long) how much 'produce' did you import. I can't work out the scale of the picture you posted; it looks a bit like a mahooosive old fashioned milk churn thingy!
