Do you love being elbow deep in your cervix? Can you tell your cream from your egg? No, we're not talking Cadbury, we're talking vadge juice. Come and join the fingering fillies on our flight of fecundity (see what I did there?).

Thank you everyone for your well wishes. Sorry for a any AFs

Managed to offload the children and get to the hospital today. So glad I did. They took him off sedation slowly and by 7 tonight they had taken him off the ventilator and he was trying to speak. Even joked about is putting the footie on and getting him a beer. They still have no idea what stopped his heart. Maybe a seizure. They are hoping for answers tomorrow but currently a mystery.

Congrats bean on your BFP. (Or contracts as my phone would like to correct it).

Giddymamma · 15/02/2015 22:06

Hee hee heee...... Poor nancy pants, what a cutie she is!

Giddymamma · 15/02/2015 22:08

Good stuff mummy. Smile

purdeybirdie · 15/02/2015 22:09

Juno, I kid you not, I've had many a terrifying moment when she was first born where I was convinced the egg donor must've been a Russian shotputter. For the first few months of her life she had the thickest hair on her thighs and I was dismayed thinking some gorilla had donated her egg.

purdy Awawhwhhwhh! Hair, eyebrows and a massive smile on bubs are always a cute overload for me. (Whereas bald and gormless not so much... Wink)

loopylou1984 · 15/02/2015 22:18

Well no action for me tonight despite it being prime time. We just had a discussion about the fact that our lives revolve around each cycle and just waiting for af to turn up, there's no hoping for a bfp anymore. So much so that he doesn't even want to try next month. I'm now sitting in the spare room in tears thinking he's right and maybe we should just give up Hmm

juneybean · 15/02/2015 22:18

Oh sammy :(

surferchic41212 · 15/02/2015 22:19

So pleased to head it Mummy..

Just to update my stats babybump. Tested and got BFN on 14th, but got three days of positive opk, so now testing 28th Feb.. Currently on day 35 of cycle, but at least if AF does come, next month the doc is going to do more tests as to what's going on with my WTF cycles!

Congrats to all the BFPs!

loopylou1984 · 15/02/2015 22:27

Juney - I'm going back to bed to give him a cuddle. It's not the end of the world, we dtd last night and I'm sure he'll be open to tomorrow. I have to try and remember this is getting to him too I suppose. Xx

surferchic41212 · 15/02/2015 22:27

Crap! Typo! *hear.. Not head!

juneybean · 15/02/2015 22:28

Try and have a go in the morning! x

Nomio230 · 15/02/2015 22:35

Aww, sammy, I feel for you. We have had that conversation a couple of times before. I think sometimes it is easy to forget that men are not just sperm donors, but are actually people with feelings!

Sparkly, congrats on the new TV. What show did you christen it with?

Welcome epskie & any other new people.

Juney, aaaaaargh, the big day is finally here! I hope everything goes well for you.

I have had a lovely day being attacked by both aliens, dinosaurs & an 18 month old baby. Grin

purdeybirdie · 15/02/2015 22:37

Sammy, it sounds as though the balance has been disturbed in your lives by the struggle of this journey. I sympathise with you enormously but my husband would feel he had much in common with yours only 18 months ago.

When I talk about balance I mean making room in your lives for non-ttc stuff. If 'this' (ie MNetting, watching opks, fretting in the 2ww) is becoming your sole mission and is all you talk to your husband about then something needs to change.

I think it would do you good to stop TTC until your April apptmt. Take that time to make yourself comfortable with the idea of IVF. You have to start thinking about it as a positive; the helping hand you need to getting your baby. Use these weeks to enjoy your time with your DH and take the pressure off. Take a break from mn. I can assure you there will be plenty of us here in April to welcome you back Thanks

Happy Sunday.

mummy so glad your fil is feeling a bit better. Must have been so worrying.

Sorry to all the af's and congrats on the bfp bean!

I had a CRAZY high temp this morning, I think I had cocooned myself in my sleep and woke up sweating. So that'll throw my temps way off. So still no idea if I've ovulated yet! Gonna dtd in a mo just to be on the safe side. Poor husband is flagging!!

Beansprout30 · 15/02/2015 23:12

sammy Flowers I don't get to post much on here because I struggle to post on tablet but always hope to log on and see a bfp from you, I really hope it comes for you soon. Defo go give your man cuddles, he will be feeling just as pants as you.

Im feeling convinced im preggo, feel really weak and achy and tits feel like they want to explode. Come up to bed for early night but can't sleep!!

Anyone due to test tomorrow?

aenor · 15/02/2015 23:18

AF's got me, so I'm out this cycle.

Am currently reading The Fertility Diet and the author recommends eating sweet potatoes and yams from ovulation to AF, and if her clients get a BFP she makes them eat 'em for the entire first trimester till they are sick of them. Apparently it's because they are a source of natural progesterone.

Anyway, I googled "sweet potato progesterone" to see if there was any other info about them and came across this article:

www.sweetpotatoblessings.com/diff.htm

It says the following:

"manufacturers take diosgenin from the Wild Mexican Yam to make progesterone. From that they create a substance called progestins ,the basis of birth control pills. Dioscorea is a natural precursor of DHEA, known for helping to normalize hormone production in women over age 30. As we age our bodies produce less DHEA. Loss of DHEA levels in the body results in a loss of energy and reduced immune system function. Wild Mexican Yam extract (containing "active" Wild Mexican Yam from Dioscorea) is also an important ingredient in a natural progesterone cream used to treat menopausal and PMS symptoms in women."

So it looks like commercial progesterone comes from yams anyway - so if you can't get any progesterone cream or DHEA, eat yams/sweet potato.

Guess what I'm going to be eating next cycle?

juneybean · 15/02/2015 23:20

Ooo! I made a curried sweet potato soup the other day!

Hairstylisttoboris · 15/02/2015 23:24

I turn my back (to move house) for 3 days and you girls chatted so much I can't keep up anyhow Flowers for those of you with personal dramas. Big hug to sammy hope you and your DH can get back on track properly. I think my DH would sympathise with your DH we've only been doing this since last July.
Yeyyy for the BFP!
juney really pleased your supplies showed up. Did DHL know what it was they sent to Poland?? Hope it all goes really well for your insemination session!
Now I must return to our boxes....

Nomio230 · 15/02/2015 23:35

I don't like sweet potatoes. Hmm

Why can't they just put these hormones in chocolate?!

juneybean · 16/02/2015 00:11

This baby is gonna be Bjorn or Agnetha if I don't turn ABBA off.

juneybean · 16/02/2015 00:12

boris they knew it was "human tissue" so I was yelling at them that there's no point it coming Monday it'll be too late!!

Good luck with your house move!

juneybean · 16/02/2015 01:00

I've brought the lads upstairs...

purdeybirdie · 16/02/2015 06:19

Cum on, Juney! Grin

Missed you, Bozzer. You like the new gaff?

Aenor I'm sorry you're out this month. I've read about yams and DHEA but the article said eating them didn't work because the DHEA can only be recreated under lab conditions. I will root out the source of this info...

juney I think bjornbean sounds perfect.
Fwiw I always knew Jodie was gay. It's why I love her. Except for "Nell" which was a stupid movie.
Sweet potato? considers I always think you probably have to overdose on these things if you truly want them to make a difference. Hmm
