Hi. I am on my first two week wait and completely consumed! Can't think of much else and as we haven't told anyone we are ttc I have no-one to chat with about it!! Anyone ??

Hi girls - BFN... not even the slightest hint of second line!! I knew it would be, just annoyed because I allowed myself to think otherwise... will try again on Sat - that will be 14dpo. Wish it wasnt all so expensive - it's like putting a fiver down the loo every time!

PinkButterfly · 17/10/2006 08:39

Sorry Kitkat. 10dpo may just be way to early for you. I remember you saying AF due 21st-23rd so maybe 19th would be better day to test. I have seen some threads here where it's been days after AF even due before they have had BFP. Everything still well and truly crossed for you.

Also, I see quite alot of people who are serial testers like us seem to buy tests via internet and are much cheaper. Saw someone quoting a website the other day - think it was earlypregnancy.co.uk ? Something about access logistics or something. I'm thinking of looking there instead of spending a fortune in boots on ov and pg tests!!

Thanks PinkB - think I'm just going to wait till Sat. Can't bear another BFN before then.

I think it's access diagnostics or something? I'm always slightly sceptical of buying things from companies I havent heard of though - what if they're dodgy products? But if everyone on here buys them, they must be OK

PinkButterfly · 17/10/2006 12:50

Don't know why I did it - went into a wee chemist shop when I was out as Adsa there and bought these really cheap early detection tests - just did one in loo and have a faint second line!!

Hi, do you mind if I join this thread, I am also in my first month of ttc, and am also completely consumed by it all! Would be great to share this agony!

KitKat30 · 17/10/2006 14:24

Oh my god PinkB - that is soooo exciting!! Congrats!!! EeeekkkK!!!

Hi Pancha - come and join some other very neurotic women!

PinkButterfly · 17/10/2006 14:36

Thanks Kitkat but no congrats yet! I am mega paranoid and trying not to get too excited right now. Was reading some stuff a few days ago about how these early tests sometimes are not such a good thing as 20% of all pg end in early m/c and always have - just we didn't used to have these test available so just assumed we were late/heavy af.

I have m/c before so always terrified anyway.

Now dreading that AF is going to appear. Just going to try and stay calm (although have already starting chatting to my wee bean!) and test each morning to see if there are still two lines then will buy a first response or clearblue and test Sunday or Monday if no AF.

Really really didn't expect to see pos result on test but glad to see all my symptoms haven't been imaginary.

Think DH is a bit upset because we agreed to test together then I ended up phoning him on mobile because I was so surprised! Not the most romantic!

I'll keep you posted and fingers and toes still well and truly crossed for you at weekend. xx

Welcome Pancha. Where are you in your cycle ??

Wonder where MrsMcJ is today ?

OP posts:
KitKat30 · 17/10/2006 15:02

She has been quiet...maybe she'll pop up this eve.

Completely understand you wanting to be cautious - so hard not to get carried away...I get carried away and I havent even had a +ve yet!!

MrsMcJnr · 17/10/2006 15:03

I'm here, sorry for being away so long, work got in the way. A line is a line Pink Butterfly but I can understand your trepidation so I'll whisper congrats very quietly and say it louder each time you get a stonger line ! Hello all the other ladies, how are you all? KitKat - still hanging in there?

Pancha · 17/10/2006 15:08

I am on CD 22 (I think!). I am a bit baffled by much of this, hopefully I will learn quickly and catch up with you all! Fingers crossed for you pink butterfly...

Oh KitKat not over yet though and maybe just a bit too soon

KitKat30 · 17/10/2006 15:37

thanks hon, hope so

MrsMcJnr · 17/10/2006 15:44

Pancha - sorry for being so rude and not welcoming you . Hope chatting on here makes TTC as little easier - it has for me

Pancha · 17/10/2006 15:50

No worries! It is all a bit daunting, this ttc business! My af is due in about 6 days, and I am driving myself insane with all the 'what ifs'...and imagining symptoms like there is no tomorrow!!

PinkButterfly · 17/10/2006 15:52

Welcome to the world of ttc Pancha - you are no different from all the rest of us!!! xx

It def makes it easier unloading some of the worry on these boards Pancha...

I'm the queen of (phantom) symptoms! What sort are you having?

Pancha · 17/10/2006 15:57

I have mild cramps in my lower abdomen, but I think that I am just hyper aware of my body and every lottle thing it is doing. I have probably always had cramps etc, but have just never noticed them before! Hopefully next month I will chill out a bit! I am on holiday from work too, so lots of time on my hands!

KitKat30 · 17/10/2006 16:09

It's impossible to not over analyse...our brains just dont seem to work that way!

MrsMcJnr · 17/10/2006 16:39

The cruellest thing is that many of the early signs of pg are the same as the ones for AF, you just can't really tell unless you have that feeling that some get - PinkButterfly, you just KNEW didn't you?

PinkButterfly · 17/10/2006 16:51

I don't know that I would say I KNEW MrsMcJnr but had a very strong feeling. Tried very hard to put symptoms down to early AF or a bug because as you say it's horrid as all the pg symptoms you can experience can be related to something else entirely. Think because I felt exactly the same as I did when pg with DS2 it was difficult not to be overly optimistic although I tried just in case so I wouldn't be so disappointed. It's funny - I was so desperate to be able to test and see and now that I have and got a ++ I am very apprehensive and don't feel I can get excited. Won't be referring to it as a BFP right now but hopefully will do so soon.

Feel as if I am going to be terrified every morning that the line isn't going to be there. Can't actually believe I am feeling this way - sorry ladies - talk about anticlimatic reaction!!! xx

OP posts:
MrsMcJnr · 17/10/2006 17:00

PinkButterfly, lots of people have said that they feel that way and I guess that when you really want something and you get it, you can't quite believe it and don't want to count your chickens too soon! That said, on here we can voice it all right from the beginning, that's what I love about the site, you don't have to hold anything back like you do in RL. In RL no-one, not even my Mum or sisters know we are TTC

PinkButterfly · 18/10/2006 10:27

Morning ladies - how are you today ?

I'm out all day today visiting mum and then friends then another friend coming for dinner tonight (my, I'm popular!) so thought I'd pop on quickly and say hello.

All is fine with me - test showing double line again this morning so hoping that continues. Feeling well queasy today but will just have to mask it when in company of others!

xx

MrsMcJnr · 18/10/2006 11:01

So pleased for you PinkButterfly, hope your confidence continues as the lines get stronger! I can't wait for it to be my turn! It's CD13 for me and I normally OV between CD16 & 18 so it is now the active part of the cycle for me let's just hope I can convince DH to BD more than last cycle and we are newly weds!!

KitKat - everything ok with you? Sat is not far away you know

Pancha - how are the cramps today?

Bluenosesaint & JoeTwoTies - how are you both getting on?
