beakybeak · 20/11/2014 22:47

Aw Jellie sounds awful! Hope the cough goes soon. Not sure if I missed this but did you hear about a donor?

Trill fanny candle made me laugh out loud!

Bushy 4 school weeks is ace! It will fly past. Hope you're feeling ok.

Lumen crossing all available appendages Smile

funkymonk · 20/11/2014 23:04

Evening Berries. Oh Beaky that is a worry for you. Something to play on your mind. Fingers crossed all is ok and it is nothing of concern.

All the very best for tomorrow Lumen.

Lol at fanny candle! I'm guessing they are the waxy cyclogest pessaries?!

So sorry at your confusing cycle Kuma. How frustrating for you. Especially with Christmas coming up so the normal working week being affected for a fortnight. We are hoping to have time to fit a cycle in over the Christmas period too.

Gill have a great time in the Brecon Beacons and I hope polyps don't rear their ugly heads.

Tiger your dog in PJ's is the cutest thing! Bless him getting chilly Grin
I have no idea about aspirin and periods, sorry. It seems that all evidence out there on aspirin and womens health is very contradictory at best.

Rain really glad that the open evening was a postivie experience for you. Has it kick started you back into action again?

Nolly your boss sounds like a jumped up b*stard. What's his beef?

Pip, Bushy hope all goes well with you.

Smidge you sound like me on camping trip - trying to cram the sofa cushions in the car!

Tiger, did you read Jessica Hepburns book, Pursuit of Motherhood? She asks why there can't be a word that means you're happy for someone else but desperately sad for yourself. What is the german word? Do you know?

Night night Berries.

happylass · 21/11/2014 00:08

Just popping in quickly to say good luck Lumen.

Beaky sorry to hear you're having a worrying time. Hopefully it can be sorted soon so you can focus on your IVF.

Will catch up properly tomorrow as it's late and I'm full of the lurgy and feeling rather sorry for myself

Really sorry Lumen, it's not fair.

Gillster · 21/11/2014 06:51

So sorry Lumen, that is so disappointing. Look after yourselves over the next few days and I hope you can get some answers/plan of action from your FC. Flowers

Pixie001 · 21/11/2014 07:00

Lumen sorry to hear your news. Lots of hugs. Take it easy.

Gillster · 21/11/2014 07:07

Hope you get your skin thing sorted pronto Beaky with the minimum fuss and worry.

Hoping you can squeeze your cycles in before Xmas Funky and Kuma.

Sorry for those berries feeling under the weather Happy and Jelli. Nearly the weekend.

Good luck for the scan today Pixie. Hoping your bloating settles down soon.

AFM, DH did manage to secure us a scan but the only slot they have is 7:30am on Monday morning so in the middle of our holiday. It would really put my mind at rest though so we're going to leave today but meander back on Sunday which is a bit annoying as it's a 6 hour round trip. We'll then return to Brecon after the scan. At least if we forget something we get a second chance on Sunday. Chances of this are high as we haven't done a shred of packing yet!

Hi to anyone I've missed .

sparechange · 21/11/2014 07:15

lumen
I'm so sorry. It is so horrible and unfair. Hugs and Flowers

happylass · 21/11/2014 07:19

Oh Lumen I'm so very sorry. It really is beyond unfair. Look after yourself, I'll be thinking of you today.
Enjoy your holiday Gil. The weather here hasn't been too bad - a bit grey and miserable but at least it's dry so you can get out and about. Glad you got your scan. Bit of a pain that you've got to trek back but if it puts your mind at rest then it'll be worth it. We are heading up to Northumberland later today as got a wedding there tomorrow so I'll probably pass you at some point! Yet again a Berry is visiting Wales when I'm not in the country!
Have a good day all.

happylass · 21/11/2014 07:48

Pipbin · 21/11/2014 07:52

Oh Lumen. I'm so sorry.

lumen · 21/11/2014 07:59

Thanks all, it is very unfair and I am sadHmm. But I will pick myself up and get on with life. I think we will have our review meeting and then explore our options, including speaking to some other clinics. Maybe we have implantation or immune issues that have not yet been diagnosed. Christmas is going to be boozy Wink

beakybeak · 21/11/2014 08:30

Oh Lumen how rubbish. I'm so sorry Flowers I was really hoping it was your time. Boozy Christmas for a few of us then.

Gill I'd do the same if I were you and fx the scan is all clear on Monday.

Happy you are coming to my part of the world! Can you say where? Not that I'm going to turn up, obv Wink anyay, it's freezing up here so bring warm clothes!

funkymonk · 21/11/2014 08:31

So sorry to read your news Lumen. Bfn sucks big time. I hope you can have a quiet day with your dp, snuggling up at home. Xx

happylass · 21/11/2014 08:49

Beaky where are you?? We are staying in Corbridge as the wedding is on a farm in the middle of nowhere!!

OP posts:
tigerdog · 21/11/2014 09:38

beaky I'm glad you got the all clear for your smear (I've got mine next week, joy!) but sorry about the worrying skin patch. It does sounds as though they can take care of it without any major issues, but I guess it is unsettling nonetheless. Flowers Hope you're doing ok today.

funky yes I have read it. Perhaps I imagined that there was a word for it in German! It sounds like the kind of word they would have!

lumen I'll be joining you and others with the boozy Christmas. I really admire your attitude. Stay strong lady, and we're all right behind you xx

Hope the scan goes well today pixie and those little dollies are behaving themselves.

gill good news that you have your scan. A holiday day trip to see the inside of your womb! Unusual but will be worth it if it can put your mind at rest.

Hope our PUPO ladies are doing ok. Still keeping everything crossed for you both. Who's next?

I'm so glad it is the weekend (ok, so one more day to get through, but I'm in the office on mumsnet so taking it fairly easy!) Our quiet November continues, and I'm looking forward to doing some sewing by the fire this weekend!

CatsCantFlyFast · 21/11/2014 10:00

Lumen I'm so sorry x

beakybeak · 21/11/2014 10:10

Funky maybe Chloe would know about the German word if she's ever lurking! I asked my dh but he didn't know, but it's probably not one ghat is at the forefront of the language!

Happy Oo corbridge is lovely, that sounds very nice! Warmer inland too. We are on the coast, not to far from there but it is very nippy today. There's a lovely Indian restaurant in corbridge, if you go from newcastle you get "the curry train" which stops directly at the restaurant.

Tiger I found the smear (I hate that word!) to be a breeze after everything everyone else that's been down there! I was really relieved it was clear though as the nurse who did the iui said there was a strange patch on my cervix. Ffs! I am fine today though thanks, I'm not really too worried about the patch as the consultant really wasn't but yeah I guess it's just a little bit unsettling more than anything. Sewing by the fireside sounds lovely too!
