Aw welcome home Smidge! Just to say re the pill, i was given loestrin by the FC (however it's spelled!) when I had to take it due to the cysts so it will probably be fine but erm yeah double check with the FC maybe!

WildflowerMarmalade · 13/12/2014 21:19

Welcome home Smidge , that sounds like a long flight but thank goodness you missed all the air travel chaos.

I totally agree with you that AliG might have tried the kitchen sink approach given that you have raised NK cells. Doesn't she appreciate the emotional strain what you have to go through for each cycle. Wink

I made some clear soup today with pak choi and prawns, I'm definitely eating more healthily on this TTC lark. Previously I mostly stuck to cake, chocolate and alcohol.Blush

Hope you are all having lovely weekends.

lumen · 14/12/2014 10:15

Welcome back to Blighty smidge. How long are you back and is your dh with you?

Taking the folks into the big smoke today to see the Christmas lights. Also get to visit Libertys for the first time ShockShockShock

Happy Sunday everyone.

(Will be needing a new thread soon, can tell it is busy times in berry hq)

beakybeak · 14/12/2014 10:24

Oo Liberty is amazing lumen have a fantastic time Xmas Smile

Yes a new thread will definitely be needed soon, I hope it's even better for the bfps than this one.

Wild clear soups sounds lovely! Was it difficult to make?

Gillster · 14/12/2014 15:53

Given that we will be starting a new thread very soon, are there any lurkers out there who want to join us? Our numbers have been depleted somewhat by our recent clusterdiff success!

Smidge001 · 14/12/2014 16:16

My parents are in the south so I'm not expecting much in the way of snow, but you never know. We'll be spending Christmas itself at my aunt and uncle's place in South Wales, and my brother and his family will be joining us so I can't wait. Going away for Christmas with all the family is what I was brought up with and it makes it all the more exciting (though shame MrSmidge isn't here too). We used to travel to my grandparents' farm in Norfolk on Christmas Eve in our pyjamas when my brother and I were little and I just LOVED it!

I'll be heading into london tomorrow to start some shopping, see the lights, and catch up with a friend for lunch.... Then another friend in chiswick for the night. My trips home are all about seeing friends and family.

Thanks for the reassurance on the loestrin beaky. I know I should get official confirmation but have pretty much decided just to go with this. It's doing exactly the same thing after all, and I've previously used both and no issues with either. Think at the time AliG asked if I had any preference and Microgynon was the only name I could remember.

Hope everyone else is in happy festive spirit! I'm off to see my nephew and niece now. They are gorgeous (4 and 5) and apparently are extremely excited to see me. .

Hi minx and welcome to the berries, you're most welcome Grin

Gillster · 14/12/2014 17:30

Of course we'll have you Minx, you are most welcome. Sorry that you find yourself in this situation but I think most if the Berries will agree that this thread is an excellent source of support and information. I think between us we've been through most procedures! Put your feet up and make yourself comfy. Brew

Gillster · 14/12/2014 17:32

Sounds like some great Christmas plans Smidge. Looks like you'll be straying into Happy's territory soon. Xmas Smile

happylass · 14/12/2014 20:09

Ooooo yes Smidge whereabouts in South Wales are you headed?
Welcome Minx sorry to hear of your difficulties but you are most definitely in the right place.
Just 5 more days in work teacher Berries (though I think it's just me left now isn't it?).

beakybeak · 14/12/2014 20:42

Welcome Minx! Sorry you've had to join but you are more than welcome Xmas Smile sounds like a tough time you've had but you're in the right place. I think Tiger had a lap this year if you need any tips!

Any other lurkers? Xmas Grin

Smidge that sounds like an amazing Christmas, I love big family Christmases!

Happy I hope these last few days fly over! I can't think of any other teacher berries now!

I've had a lovely day out with a friend today, cocktails and dinner and a bit of Christmas shopping!

Hope everyone else has had a lovely weekend!

lumen · 14/12/2014 22:11

Think I might actually have more time off than the teacher berries! Only three days left for me then 19 off Was hoping when I booked it to be IVF diffed but instead we are going to take some us time to start getting fit and healthy and enjoy spending some time together.

tigerdog · 15/12/2014 09:51

Welcome minx and hope your stay here is short. I was hoping for a Christmas miracle too, but AF is threatening this morning Xmas Sad. I had a lap and hysteroscopy (sp?) in June as beaky said. Mine was straightforward (they didn't find any issues or endo) and the only side effect was being very sick the day after, presumably from the GA. I had 5 days off work, although I could have gone back after 3. It seems according to extensive google research that some people are more likely to get pregnant in the cycles following a lap, so here's hoping for you!

smidge that all sounds fab! Hope you are enjoying yourself and managing to keep jet lag at bay. I love being Aunty Tiger more than anything!

lumen that is a bumper amount of time off. I hope you have a really lovely time.

beaky glad you had a lovely weekend. Do you feel less bah humbug now?

wild I think I could do with some of your soup! Have been off my food this weekend, which is unusual for me!

I am on the holiday countdown too happy only 5 days to get through and then we are away! Sunshine and warmth, yay!

I feel like absolute pants, and probably should not have gone into work today but I didn't feel like I could let a load of people down as we are really busy this week. My pre holiday week of yoga and Christmas prep is probably not happening.

So, we're getting very close to the end of this rather epic thread, lets hope the next one brings even more good luck! Any ideas for the next one? (and I'll try not to trash the grand finale again!!)

beakybeak · 15/12/2014 18:54

Lumen 19 days is amazing Xmas Smile hope you both really enjoy your time together and can avoid thinking of ttc too much.

Tiger I'm definitely feeling a bit more festive, only a week and a day and a half for me til a week and a half off! Had my biopsy today, was a long boring wait for a 2 min thing but the local anaesthetic hadn't quite kicked in when they took a chunk out Confused but the pain passed quickly! Haha. Hopefully the results will be ok.

Quiet on here again, hope it means everyone is enjoying early Christmas meals and sherry obsessed, prosecco etc etc Xmas Grin

HampshireBlues · 15/12/2014 19:32

Welcome to the thread Minx you are definitely in the right place. I'm sorry that you have such a long and rough ride to this point. Bit glad that you are in the system and able to draw on the wealth of knowledge in the berry HQ walls.

Feeling really bah humbug at the moment. DH forced me to write Christmas cards at the weekend and ended up in hysterics as I realised how many had springer in the last twelve months. Is there anywhere I can hibernate.....?

Hope everyone else is getting into the festive swing.

Pipbin · 15/12/2014 20:01

Got a text from DH. The cat was on his lap! Either he's pg or she just wants to sit on the blanket that he had on his knees.

HampshireBlues · 15/12/2014 20:23

That's made me smile Pip

beakybeak · 15/12/2014 20:47

Oo Pip does that mean the berries are due another bfp?!

HB sorry you feel a bit bah humbug too, I'm just getting round mine now after a festive day out with a friend yesterday. Hope you feel a bit more festive soon Xmas SmileWine

Rainy34 · 15/12/2014 20:47

Hi everyone,
think i am 7 or 8 do, yesterday and today i feel like i constantly need to go for a wee, even when I'm finished, but is not stingy or sore, hope i am not getting a urine infection

Rainy34 · 15/12/2014 20:55

sorry everyone got mixed up and was meant to post my last post in the december bus

TheRainDrops · 15/12/2014 21:24

tiger any sign of the witch yet? You're much more dedicated than me, I called in sick today despite a really hectic week - seem to have picked up the cold from hell this weekend. Not planning on going in tomorrow either, although I might attempt to do some work remotely.

Welcome minx - you've found a fantastic bunch of women here. Hopefully you won't have to hang around for too long tho!

Sounds like everyone's got lovely festivities lined up! Me and MrP are on our tod this year. Will be lovely but also a bit sad as I can't help feeling like we're the visiting relation rejects cos we don't have kids. Nonsense I know. We have our ivf referral appt on the 30th and then we're off camping in deepest darkest Devon for a few days. Should be fun?!?!?!??

Pipbin · 15/12/2014 21:25

Here she is. Tart.

Roll up! Roll up! Mount those uni cycles and shake those pom poms. The Elderberry Pavlovas are drumming away in the hope of a Christmas clusterdiff (Thread 24).

Pip if your DH is pg then I'm officially giving up Grin

tigerdog · 15/12/2014 22:36

Yep the witch is here rain and I'm coughing my guts up too so feel just peachy Xmas Hmm but at least I'm getting it all out of the way pre holiday!

My parents have both remarried and do their own thing, so we don't have a family Christmas. I still sometimes find that sad.
