Halloween POAS - anyone fancy joining me?

Just started ttc again, trying for number 2. Dd is 11 months, and we had 2 mc while trying for her.

So, I was completely relaxed about the whole situation, was going to try for a couple of months of 'we'll see what happens'. Then DH asked me when I could POAS. So now it is set in my head that I am on a countdown, thought I may see if anyone fancies joining me for the wait?

Fingers crossed it will be our month and every symptom spot will be justified!

af is due on Monday the 2nd so it should be then but it will probably be Friday. When is your af due Kate?

Ooohhhh exiting ... Mines due this Thursday (30th) my ovia app is telling me to test on Tuesday lol .. Talk about bad influence !!

Well if the app is telling you to, you should definitely do it! Maybe use a frer.

Ooh don't tell me that! I always use the internet cheapies until I get a positive, then switch to clear blue digi to monitor. Not that I'm obsessive at all!

For reference, if you are planning ahead, clear blue is much cheaper on amazon....

Checked on the website but no signs of any offers .. Just a couple of quid off of clearblue at the moment

Lol I felt like that too with my second ds... Even though I wanted it soooo badly when the line popped up I couldn't stop shaking !!!! Takes a while to sink in x

I tested this morning with fmu and and ic but bfn again... Never mind

I looked at NHS due date claculator and it says I am 3 weeks? Due in early July?

But test says 1-2 weeks

Incidentally the date inm July is my DNephew (PFG) birthday

We have been trying for DC2 for a while now. I haven't used opks etc as know I will end up getting totally obsessed

AF due around 31st. Cycles have varied last few months between 24 and 28 days so I am not totally sure.

No signs of AF at the mo but then that isn't anything unusual.

Last time I was pg (in the week before af due) I was tired and cried at really silly things, but I put this down to stress of moving. I also couldn't stomach eating ham, but again thought I had just lost my appetite due to stress. I also remember waking up early in the morning with mild nausea and a need to pee.

No symtoms, but I did wake up at 5.30am to go to the loo {hmm}

Ahhh that's lovely virtual they normally go through your dates with you at your first appointment and then confirm dates with your first scan :) hibluecoconut we are in about the same boat I reckon .. My AF is due 30th or 31st depending on when I ovulated... I've been really bad and tested early and have put myself in a right downer

DH meant to be out tonight, do I get him to come home instead?

I think he will be super excited, but was just talking about leaving work to start his own business and not sure if I am happy with that kind of risk now

Congrats Virtual! I wouldn't worry about the dates. As Kate said they will confirm it at your first scan.

Hi Kate! Don't feel down, you have most likely tested too early. Why do we all keep doing this to ourselves?
I have got one test and I have promised myself I am not taking it until Friday or Saturday.

Thanksblue :) I know I just want to slap myself and get some damn willpower !!! I knew it would be bfn so why test lol.. Doesn't make sense does it ! Maybe we can talk eachother out of testing until Friday ... Are you using any apps to track your cycles,were you on the pill or anything before ttc ? X

Is it something important he is attending tonight Virtual? I guess it depends on how you feel about it and what you think he would want you to do.

No, I don't use any apps, just check ovulation dates each month. I am taking quite a laid back approach, Que sera and all that.

My cousin before having her DC got obsessed with the whole thing. I swear she was on the verge of a complete breakdown. The docs couldn't find any medical reasons why her and her DH could not conceive. They then decided due to her deteriorating physical and mental health, not to mention the strain on them as a couple, to stop actively trying. Then within three months she was pregnant with DC 1, swiftly followed by DC 2.

I think it is maybe because I saw what she went through, that I am making the decision not to become consumed by it.

Feeling confused today, cramping today with sore boobs, but not feeling nauseous as before. It's going to be a long wait until Saturday when I can poas.

Virtual don't worry about your dates. NHS dates it from first day of your last period, clear blue dates it from the date you actually conceived. They sound spot on at the moment.

I am also resisting the peesticks! I even considered it this morning which is just ridiculous at 7dpo. I know this, so why do I even entertain the idea!!
