The smallprint –
Berries have a strict entrance criteria (TTC #1, over 30, TTC for 12+ months, NO instadiffers, must have a special pot and definitely no mention of baby dust or baby dancing).
Those not abiding by the rules may be escorted from the premises.

Awesome pics lady! In your last one the test line seems to have used the die at the expense of the control!!! Grin

Everything crossed for you.

Pipbin · 15/08/2014 11:22

Hi Ladies,

Just sat here is tears listening to this:
www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b04d4p0b
It's about struggling to conceive and the taboos surrounding it.

I know I've been a bad berry, but I'm back to another round of IVF.

HowsTheSerenity · 15/08/2014 11:51

smidge I just ordered 120 coq10 for $65 from biovea online. I'm guessing you are in Australa still.

lumen · 15/08/2014 12:27

Hi pip I don't think we met before, what is your background? When is your IVF? There are a few of us having cycles in the coming months.

Smidge001 · 15/08/2014 12:32

seren yes, am in Australia. I'll have a hunt online if I can't find it in the shops.

lady ha ha to frolic! I think my phone decided to put that word in for me Grin , I hadn't even noticed!

And some photos?!!! I'm impressed, you must have a cupboard just full of pee sticks!! I think you stock more than my local chemist Grin. No doubt about it though, you must be letting yourself believe it by now... Massive congrats and good luck!

I'm off on hols tomorrow for a week in the snow (yes they do get a little bit). Hubby loves the snow (clearly shouldn't have been born an Australian) and we're going away for his 40th. Timed well to keep my mind off the wait to see the consultant to find out what 'the state of my embryos' means for our next attempt at IVF. Oh how good would it be to get an FUFC snow baby.... Actually given the excess progesterone has only just left my body I suspect it'll be a while before shag week. Still, can't hurt to practice Wink. (Anyone else find bedroom action completely disappears while on IVF?)

So although I hope to catch up with the thread when I can, I may not get as much chance to post.

Have a great week folks.

lumen · 15/08/2014 12:35

Have a great holiday smidge, your frolic typo made me chuckle too. And yes to the IVF no sex comment, last month post our failed cycle was a welcome return Grin

Jelliebabe2 · 15/08/2014 12:44

Hey ladies! Sorry I've been AWOL but I've had this week of work so am not spending hours titting about at my computer!

Rain - can't believe your boss is so thick skinned. Can you email him? You could say something like,," I really don't feel up to a discussion on the subject but my views on the mat leave policy are x y z...". Then it takes the awkwardness and emotion out of it? I find I can't get what I want to say out properly when I'm het up. Hope the river soothed you. We sat by it in Windsor on Wednesday. Lovely

Hope everyone else is good!

Cyril the cyst is very much still in residence according to the scan and blood tests. I now will take progynova for 25 days, then cyclogest (yick) from day 14 then stop to bring on a bleed. Hopefully this will do for Cyril the ceaseless. If this didn't work it would mean using the pill again which we were trying to avoid.

Never mind. I've been super bad eating and drinking this week! Now I have a further 20 ish days to drop a few lbs.

Have a good day!

greatbigbushybeard · 15/08/2014 13:43

Oh wow pip that was some powerful stuff. Some of it resonated with me. Felt so sorry for that lady who was treated differently because she was single and childless- the kids table was a horror! Think we've been quite lucky with our friends that they haven't squeezed us out because we don't have kids. The ones that know we've been struggling have always made an effort to include us. I did think it was a bit extreme not to see her own nieces for 4 years though but everyone's experience is different and that was how she felt. So awful for that other woman lying on the floor of her apartment not wanting to get up.

Have a great snowy holiday smidge, always think it sounds odd- snow in oz!

I was a bit blown away by the amount of sticks too lady!

Had a bit of a shameful meltdown earlier, next door with new born were having day out with friends with little baby too- all looked so bloody perfect. Going off to a naice country village, with friend's in fancy car. Just got me into a Envy mood! thinking it's all so bloody easy for them, she had her 30th a while ago, prob decided lets get pregnant and was prob an instadiffer, whereas I'm being an onlooker again and miscarry ing- snot fair!! Sad. When I popped round it was all 'just so' and them going on about how marvellous summer babies were because of the wonderful weather so you could get out for walks etc and how winter babies were a no, no. This was when I was pg and I could deal with it. In my head ( when we hopefully get there)I have this vision of us with matchsticks holding our eyes open and the house a tip and me with baby weight etc, compared to the seemingly 'perfect' mr & mrs. It scares me how bitter I can get but then it passes.. It just really grates how 'seemingly' easy it looks for them.. And so many other people. I avoided them the whole pregnancy as I wasn't pg. I'm still avoiding as I just don't want to see it & deal with it.

lumen · 15/08/2014 14:02

Sorry you are having to deal with that next door bushy, it can't be easy. I think you are coping very well.

Pipbin · 15/08/2014 14:06

Lumen
~looks wistfully into the fire~

I am an original berry, in fact I believe that I named the berries. I also wrote the Berry Prayer.

I have been here for many many years, since April 2011.
Loads of egg, loads of sperm, regular cycle, blocked tubes.
Never had a sniff of a BFP.

beakybeak · 15/08/2014 14:22

Rain sounds like a great list of supplements there, also hope your week improved.

Happy two days is it?!! Woo exciting! Will you pop a pic on t'other place afterwards? Hope you are feeling relaxed and excited!

Kuma your acu sounds like it went well, did you enjoy it? I found mine super relaxing and it definitely gave me hope. Love the sound of the boobs book! Does it explain man boobs

Bushy none of that stuff you wanted to do is important, if it's not done it's not done. Take your time doing what you want to do and please don't be hard on yourself although I know that's difficult. I'm sorry you've had a tough day as well with your neighbours but you are really strong to get through all of this. Remember feathers mantra, our time will come. Hugs in the meantime.

Tiger another berry to join the spot club! I have 3 massive chin spots Sad hope they clear off soon. What's the magnesium for? I used to take that ages ago as this fitness dude said it was really good for people gullible

Lady wow! Loving the pics, they look great! I hope to see my own similar piece of art soon Grin how are you feeling? Have you told the FC yet?

Pip hello! That sounds like a really sad prog, step away for the moment maybe? Where are you in your IVF cycle now? Is this your first IVF?

Smidge snowy hols sound amazing! I hope you both can enjoy it and try not to worry about your appointment.

jellie boo to the cyst, will they not aspirate it?

I have booked in for my scan on Monday, fx the cysts are gone so I can start! I'm rattling about with pregnacare, vitamin d, DIM, vit c, and now c0q10 too. I'm wondering if I should increase my dose of folic (frolic!) acid too. Exercising and eating super healthily as well, giving it everything for the iui! Thanks for the well wishes too berries.

I was wondering if the acu lady gas helped as she said that I was blood stagnant so I wonder if the acu is what has brought on this heavy painful period. Sometimes I feel like I've got so much going on I can't keep up with myself if you know what I mean or maybe I just sound weird!

Pipbin · 15/08/2014 14:26

This will be cycle 3. If this one fails then it's game over.

lumen · 15/08/2014 15:11

pip firstly thanks for setting up the berries, I know I have found these ladies so supportive and knowledgable. We have only been trying 4 months less than you with no bfp signs either. I hope this IVF is your one. Are you changing anything from your previous cycles? Sorry if I am being too nosey! You can tell me to mind my own beeswax! Wink

lumen · 15/08/2014 15:11

Ps what is the berry prayer? You need to educate us.

happylass · 15/08/2014 15:56

Omg you lot have been very chatty lately!! In full last minute wedding panic so can't hang around. Just a quick one to say I'm delighted that that line is getting stronger lady.
Pip fantastic to see you - and not just because it doesn't make me the last Berry standing Wink. Now if Boodle ever comes back from her eternal holiday we can have a mini reunion! pip when are you getting going again with the IVF? I'm starting at the beginning of Septembet.
Hope everyone else is ok. Will hopefully check in again in the next day or two when things are a bit calmer! Have a top weekend all.

TheRainDrops · 15/08/2014 15:59

I love the Berry prayer - definitely due a repost. Great to see you pip and I am hoping third time is the charm for you. Not sure I'm brave enough for that BBC show just at the mo.

Did any of you lot watch the Perseid meteor shower at the weekend? Between MrP and I we got about 6 wishes for babies in - I know, I know. Desperate or what?!

Still no witch - today is CD31. I am normally 29. I think the royal jelly has prolonged my cycle. Prof yet again that these supplements are powerful. I might drop the RJ, but will keep for next cycle as I am currently due the witch the last few days while we're in Mauritius and if RJ can delay it then I'm all for it!

lady that could be an art installation! Really chuffed for you, love a FUFC!! Grin

IamKuma · 15/08/2014 17:52

Rain we Berries are allowed to try anything without it bring desperate. Since Lady's crystals have been in the picture and I've done a bit of Googling and have started to wear a moonstone..... Shock

Pipbin · 15/08/2014 18:32

The gospel according to St Berry

In the beginning Mumsnet created the TTC forum and saw that is was good. But many of the threads were full of women complaining that they had not been blessed with their 4th baby. And Lo many women who were evil and greedy for having delayed having babies so they could live fabulous lives and have holidays (and nothing to be with being financially stable and being with the right partner) and they were made sad by the women who already had babies.
And they went into the wilderness and walked for 40 days and 40 nights until they came to the promised land of elderberries and sausages. And they saw that it was good.

And Lo those women did pee upon the stick of OPK and saw that there were two lines and held it to the light and did say unto their fellow elderberries 'tell me oh wise women, is the test line darker than the control line?' And the wise women said that it was and they must make haste to their bed and the elderberries did call unto their husbands and ask for him to lay with her and he said, 'but I have been busy at work and I'm too tired.' And there was much wailing and gnashing of teeth.

And the elderberries did go to the wise GP and speak to him but he didn't understand but sent the woman to have tests on the wrong day. And the woman did say unto her husband 'you must spill your seed into this pot and a man will look at it and see if it is good' and the man said that he was too busy and tired. And there was much wailing and gnashing of teeth.

And the woman looked at her fellow women and they all doth say 'but I laid with a man but once and I have had many babies' and another said 'I think thou doth triest too much. If thou stop trying it will happen'. And the women were evil and they thought not for the feelings of the elderberries and they doth call upon their friends to bring them gifts as they were very pleased with themselves for having a baby and could not understand why the elderberries find it so difficult.

And lo the elderberry did find herself reading the scripture of the internet and did do everything asked of her by the soothsayers therein. She did eat manuka honey, she did pee on sticks, she did put a pillow under her bottom, she did not partake of the caffeine or the alcohol, she did put the legs into the air after she had lain with her husband but each month she was visited by an evil spirit. And there was much wailing and gnashing of teeth.

Our peestick
Who art in the bathroom cupboard
Clearblue is thy name,
Thy peeing on done,
Thy one line only come,
This month as every other,
Give us every other day strength to DTD
Forgive us complaining
As we forgive those who give us advice,
And lead us not to read the internet
And deliver us of a baby (eventually)
For thine is the CBFM
The opk and the conceive plus,
Until we get two lines
Amen.

GnomieGrace · 15/08/2014 19:00

Pip that is amazing! EnvyGrinEnvy

WildflowerMarmalade · 15/08/2014 20:10

Love the Berry prayer! It is brilliant. Thank you pipbin for the Berries and the prayer and the Gospel. So funny. And lovely to meet you, by the way.

beaky I'm very much looking forward to hearing all about your IUI. I guess it will be sometime round the end of August/start of September. Will you take drugs beforehand or is it all au naturel? I'm not 100% sure how it works.

lumen · 15/08/2014 20:25

Love it pip!

Best of luck with your wedding happy, enjoy it. Wishing you and your soon to be dh a fantastic day and a happy life together x and lots (or just one if that's what you want) of babies

ladybunnikins · 15/08/2014 20:34

Pip good luck with your next cycle, I really, really hope it's third time lucky for you. Are they trying anything different this time?

Yes, there are a lot of tests Blush but I had bought a bag of 50 hpts and ovulation tests during this cycle. I think I also invoked the law of sod by buying a mooncup-equivalent this month, thinking I'd try it with the next AF.

lumen · 15/08/2014 20:55

Love the law of sod lady, really hope this is your one. Are you able to get an early scan?

ladybunnikins · 15/08/2014 21:10

Hi Lumen, I've booked a private scan for 8 weeks, I'm going on holiday tomorrow for two weeks so that will be a week after I get back.
Beaky I haven't told the FC yet. I still haven't received a date for the polypectomy so I might as well stay on the waiting list for now. If the scan goes OK I'll tell them then.

TheRainDrops · 15/08/2014 21:32

happy it's the final countdown! dodo doodo, dodo doo doo doo!

lady that does it
