The smallprint –
Berries have a strict entrance criteria (TTC #1, over 30, TTC for 12+ months, NO instadiffers, must have a special pot and definitely no mention of baby dust or baby dancing).
Those not abiding by the rules may be escorted from the premises.

Oh! Typed a post and lost it!

Gil love the use of muggle even it was an error! May take it up as a new "street" thing Grin Love the list too. How did first day of dr go? Fx this is your turn.

HB how are you doing? Is work ok?

Tiger do you get a one to one at all to discuss your treatment? I think I would really push for one if I were you, especially since you only get one round and because you are unexplained.

Pip and Lumen very best of luck for tomorrow for each of you, hope all goes well.

Annie welcome, and sorry you've had such a difficult time. Hopefully things will work out for you quickly. Have they discussed any treatment options for if you do get pg again to help, or any extra tests you can do now?

Trill thanks, it is so hard Sad I bashed my head last night then ended up sobbing which was completely out of proportion Confused Do you have an estimated date for EC?

Hope everyone else is ok today

Smidge001 · 04/11/2014 21:30

Also, Gill how was day 1 of the down reg injections? I always find day 1 the trickiest, but I ended up a pro at those and barely bruised.

Good luck lumen and pip

I'm on my blood thinning Clexane now. Done 2 injections so far and they aren't nice at all. The needle still looks small but I think it must be 2or3 times as thick as the puregon pen as the liquid is really viscous. When I spoke to the nurse she agreed and said the needle isn't as sharp either!! Shock Why not?! First day I couldn't get it in - the needle just pushed my skin down in a dent, it didn't pierce it! Finally managed, and it made a noise like breaking into a satsuma!! (I know I can't gross you ladies out with this sort of stuff). I've been told to expect some massive bruises because of this, and of course because it's an anti coagulant. But, despite the difficulty in administering it, I've managed my 2 days with no bruises so far! (Long may that last)

beakybeak · 04/11/2014 21:30

Sorry Smidge x posted! Well done on the frostie! I think a further fresh cycle is a good idea while you can too. Keep positive, you've as good a chance as any this round. Pom-poms and implantation shimmying on the go for you.

greatbigbushybeard · 04/11/2014 21:33

I think amh can be done on any cycle day. It wasn't that expensive to have done so I had it. Know what you mean re prices for your nails, still like the idea of a shoulder massage included. I'm imagining you with your glam, shiny nails!! Totally get what you mean with your friends; it is sad they're not more thoughtful/sensitive. I think we'd be more sensitive to anyone having problems because we know how it feels but I think others will feel initial sympathy but then they forget, they don't realise that you are sensitive and it carries over into a lot of areas of your life. My mum was a bit like that, in that she sent me 3 pics of my cousin's new baby not long after my mmc, it was a bit awkward.
pip what is Ganesha for? I know Ganesh is the elephant god.

Hello to annie like your lots of sack action positivity. We could do with some natural bfps!

How are you doing beaky?

The saving up the wee trick worked!! Held out til late, went to loo, read in bed til nearly twelve and was nodding off, used special ear plugs I found from a plane journey and I slept!!! Woke up once thinking I need a wee, tried to ignore it and then a short while afterward my alarm went off so I pretty much slept through the night-woo hoo! Felt better today going to work but a day with the kiddies has left me with a v sore throat and now quite tired. Boobs hurt today as well.

Good luck to anyone having procedures tomorrow- if it's a boy you could go for Guy or James as names ( bonfire night!!!)

Pipbin · 04/11/2014 21:42

Beard He is the elephant god indeed. I'm fairly hazy on what he does as such but I know he helps remove obstacles and create new starts, the patron saint if you will. My friend is a very devout Hindu and said that he has worked for 3 other people who have been TTCing for a long time. She is going to pray for us too.
I'm completely atheist but I'll take any offers!

AnnieHoo · 04/11/2014 22:07

Thank you for the welcome Smile!

Great news about your frozen one smidge. Hope you don't bruise too much this week.

beckybeak I've not been offered any treatment while I wait for FET which will probably be jan/feb. I asked my Ob/gyn and he said he could maybe do ovarian drilling but I'm dubious about that.

Blimey this thread moves faster than others!

WildflowerMarmalade · 04/11/2014 22:33

Congratulations on your frostie smidge, that is great news. I know exactly what you mean about constantly trying to balance optimism and pessimism in the long term TTC game. It's so hard to keep sanguine and sane when the stakes seem so high all the time.

With regards to AMH, our consultant said that they use the results if the ovarian reserve test, the weight to height ratio, and maybe something else (can't remember what) to calculate the amount of stimming drugs. Not sure if every clinic does it the same way though.

Welcome Annie, you have an excellent attitude on shag week. Hope you don't have to be here too long, but it's a good place to hang out for as long as you need.

WildflowerMarmalade · 04/11/2014 22:45

Oh, and good luck for ET Gill and EC lumen.

I like Bushy's Bonfire Night names, you could have Catherine (wheel) for a girl. Wink

happylass · 04/11/2014 23:08

Just popping in quickly to say welcome to Annie and good luck for tomorrow Pip.
Wild my FC didn't weigh or measure me so I'm guessing they worked out my stimming dose based on my AMH? I was on a pretty high dosage so guessing that's what they went on.
Will catch up ith everyone else tomorrow - am struggling to keep my eyes open. Night all.

Good luck Pip (the fire batons and unicycle are on hand). Also good luck Lumen for EC (ready to swap the follie pom poms for fertilisation ones) Grin

Wild - you're a bit ahead of yourself in terms of my treatment. I had my first injection yesterday (fine) so ET is some way off yet!

Hello Annie, welcome to the Berries. Sorry you find yourself here.

lumen · 05/11/2014 07:08

Thanks for the good luck messages berries. Just waiting for clinic to open so we can get this show on the road. Will let you know later how we get on.

Best of luck pip Smile

WildflowerMarmalade · 05/11/2014 07:32

Aargh! Yes Gill that was rather previous! I meant to say good luck for today Pip

happylass · 05/11/2014 07:33

Good luck also lumen. Sorry didn't realise you were today as well. Busy times in Berry HQ! Fx for everyone.

Good luck pip and lumen!

HampshireBlues · 05/11/2014 16:46

Welcome Annie here's hoping for a natural BFP, sounds like you have a plan and commitment.

Congrats with your frostie Simdge I have the same mentality as you! fresh cycles whilst young enough and then use frosties for siblings. If I remember correctly from my administration days, if you give the clexane slowly (over 20 secs +) then the bruising should be minimal. It does sting though....

Horrid day at work today - nasty boss man, but everyone around is being really supportive. Let's hope that support continues later this month. DH and I have booked time off for the end of our 2WW and I am booking a cottage somewhere so that we can get our heads straight whatever the result. I do have a good feeling about the clusterdiff potential though!!!! Grin

Pipbin · 05/11/2014 16:55

Hope the EC went ok Lumen

Well ladies I am officially PUPO.

There was only one embryo that made it to a good enough stage to be returned and it looks like there won't be any to freeze.

I have my pregnancy test (bless the nurse explaining how to use it, did she really think that someone on round three of IVF wouldn't know the business end of a pee stick?) and my OTD is 17/11, but historically I have started to bleed before I have even got that far.

lumen · 05/11/2014 17:04

Congrats on being pupo pip

We managed 11 eggs but I have no idea if they were all mature. A normal sample from MrL so conventional IVF being used, we will find out tomorrow how many embryos.

Well done on your frostie smidge

HampshireBlues · 05/11/2014 17:31

Congrats on being PUPO pip sorry there are none to freeze. Keeping everything crossed that it's a sticky.

Glad you're ok Lumen and that all went ok! hope you have a good number of mature eggs and hope for good news tomorrow.

Pipbin · 05/11/2014 17:56

In a funny kind of way I'm glad there are none for the freezer. Mentally we have prepared ourselves that this is it. The chance of frozen ones would have changed that.

lumen · 05/11/2014 19:19

Great positive thinking pip

Anyone else been sick after egg collection? Slept for most of the afternoon but then chundered bad Hmm Trying some dry toast at the moment and sipping water. This sucks.

Jelliebabe2 · 05/11/2014 19:34

Congratumalations on being PUPO Pip! Grin. Do you have extra progesterone to take?

Lumen could be a sugges effect to the sedation? See how you go overnight/tomorrow and call the clinic if you need to. 11 eggs is AMAZEBALLS!

Smidge001 · 05/11/2014 20:15

Hi lumen, congratulations on 11 eggs! I was also sick after EC this time round (even after being given anti-nausea meds). It was a reaction to the anaesthetic for me. I was told it could take 24hrs to get it out of my system fully, but I felt a lot better after being sick. Hope you'll be the same too.

Welcome to PUPO land Pip.
You and I sound similar in terms of not having reached OTD before. Fingers crossed all the unicycling fire baton twirling does its thing Smile.

I'm beginning to feel a bit sore/bloaty again so I think it must be the build up of progesterone? Seems odd to have so much it gives side effects when in a natural pregnancy you wouldn't feel like this. (I'm starting to doubt the medical profession again aren't i! Grin)

Thanks for the tip re Clexane HB. If I do get a BFP I'll be on it for at least 7wks, so I'll need all the help I can get!

beakybeak · 05/11/2014 20:20

Woohoo PUPO Pip! Fx very tightly for you, I really hope this works.

Lumen well done 11 is brilliant. I hope you feel better soon but that sounds awful. Try calling the FC just in case?

Pom-poms out for both of you Grin

HB sorry your work hasn't improved. Hopefully you'll be out of there very soon for a long time!

How's everyone else? I'm going to throw myself into reading about IVF. Need something to fill my brain up.

tigerdog · 05/11/2014 21:00

Well done on being PUPO pip and excellent work on getting 11 eggs lumen. GA tends to make me vom too so would guess it is probably that but hoping it will pass for you soon and that dh is looking after you.

smidge continuing the twirling for you too! Hope you're not feeling too sore and bloated!

Grr to your evil boss hb don't let the b@stard grind you down!

Welcome annie may your stay be brief and the handholds plentiful!

I'm still feeling chipper. Left work at 4 having walked there and back walked dog before dark and then an amazing power yoga class! Going to be bruised and sore tomorrow though. Have been managing a daily meditation and I think it might be helping my general mood! Grin

Found out anything interesting in your ivf reading beaky? I'm still not overly happy that I'll just be getting a standard non tailored treatment. Going to get my AMH done on Friday see if that sheds any light.

How is everyone else?
