The Rules...

(1) A lady may only POAS on a Friday.
(2) Friday means the day that everyone calls Friday in the time zone where you spent the night.
(3) Rule (1) does not apply to POA-OPK-S, UNLESS they are being illegitimately used as surrogate HCG detectors, in which case Rule (1) most definitely does apply
(4) Rule (1) does not apply following a BFP because if you want to waste £25 a day POADigiS that's your prerogative
(5) Rule (1) does not apply if a lady is POAS in an attempt to get a BFN to prove she can start DTD with intent
(6) Rule (1) does not apply if a lady wants for unknown reason to pee on an actual stick, like a twig or some such, if that lady is unexpectedly caught short whilst tramping in the forest looking for bears.
(7) These rules (including Rule (1)) are subject to the change at any time if the ladies of the Posifrickentivity thread decide on a whim come up with empirical evidence to prove that it is luckier to POAS on any other day of the week
(8) Violators of Rule (1) shall be subject to fish throwing.

And as a grand finale, why not pledge to NEVER POAS before 14DPO?

Sebs that's completely fucking typical - hope you still have lots of fun though. Short sharp bursts in the jacuzzi!

EmberElftree · 24/07/2014 14:49

HopefulMum111 I have the exact same stats as you :o(

I usually ovulate late according to pains & ov sticks but I am currently on CD 9 and feel ov pains which generally start up a couple of days prior to ov.

Could I be ovulating early after my mmc in May? I guess your cycle can be a bit wtf after such a traumatic event.

EmberElftree, 35, TTC #1, mmc in May, cycle 2.

EmberElftree · 24/07/2014 14:50

God that was supposed to be a sad face not a smiley one Sad

MrsGlitter · 24/07/2014 15:12

I'm in! Sadly, I am having spotting and AF due on Sunday, so I guess I'll make myself a cuppa and get comfy for another month.
Smiling Re the cot - that's tough. My sister in law is visiting my husband's mum this week with her lush 7-month old baby and she asked if I'd nip to Tesco and get her some nappies etc before she arrived on the train. I did but it almost killed me Sad She doesn't know about my MC, nor so our parents because as soon as they do, they'll just be over excited at the fact we're trying.

Treaclepie19 · 24/07/2014 15:34

Thanks broody :)
Hopefully the next one. It's hard waiting for af this month knowing there's very little chance of being pregnant but having to act as though I could be. Just been and had lunch with my parents and had two bulmers. Oh well.

So I keep feeling a bit sickly with backache and sore boobs, trying not to think of it as more than normal period symptoms for me as its due on Saturday. Also avoiding doing an early test. But tomorrow is Friday...

A colleague posted pictures of her newborn today on FB. Happy for her but is it bad I feel a bit resentful?

Metalhead · 24/07/2014 16:27

Ooh I've been having similar symptoms lady! Trying not to read anything into it though as I'm only 8dpo and I know the sore boobs are just a sign that I'm in the luteal phase. I'll probably cave and poas on Saturday before we're going away for the weekend, even though I know it'll be too early for me.

LittleMissSnowShine · 24/07/2014 18:57

New to thread..hi all!

I have had 3 mcs, one about 9 years ago, one in summer 2012 and another last month. I also have two DSs, DS1 will be 4 next month and DS2 will be one next month. I had planned to start ttc no.3 after the summer but after I stopped bf in May I got pg v quickly and then mc in June.

I have decided to just keep on ttc though, especially because it took quite a while ttc DS2. So we were on family hol in eurocamp last week and despite all being in a safari tent me and DH still managed to dtd a few times Wink since then I am feeling a bit tired and I have had a very tiny trace amount of spotting which is possibly ov or possibly implantation. I had quite a lot of bleeding with DS2 with implantation and also for first few weeks so keeping fx

On the other hand, I have PCOS so my cycles are pretty irreg at the best of times, I had mc a month ago and no reg cycles since I stopped bf in May so god only knows what day I'm on or if bleeding just means AF is around the corner... Hmm

I have 3 friends all due in next few weeks and even though I know I am v blessed with my DSs it is v hard to have just mc and see them all ready to pop and people asking do I not want another one etc....

Seeing lots of v encouraging pg type symptoms elsewhere on this thread. Keeping fx for everyone!!!

sebsmummy1 · 24/07/2014 19:28

Who is impressed that I am the evening of 11dpo and haven't tested? I know I am lol, normally I'm a pissaholic.

Metalhead · 24/07/2014 19:36

Go on sebs, it's a Friday tomorrow - poas! Grin

Welcome Littlemiss, I hope you don't have to stay on here for long.

sebsmummy1 · 24/07/2014 20:20

Ha ha I haven't got one or I could be tempted. My cervix is still high so I'm pretty sure my luteul phase will be longer than 12 days so that's a positive!!

Ladyboluna · 24/07/2014 20:27

I haven't got a test in the house either! Told myself on the way home from work tomorrow I'll go to tescos and get a test as its Friday and AF is due on Saturday.

So sebs are you joining me to poas tomorrow?

Fraid not Lady. If I had any hopeful signs I probably would but I don't so I shall hold out for the broom riding biatch to show her face.

Ladyboluna · 24/07/2014 21:54

My OH doesn't want me to test until AF is due but I will buy a test and poas the morning of the Saturday. If AF comes it either happens late at night or early hours of the morning for me (my body wakes me up and I wonder why and find out, never mess the bed though, sorry if that's tmi). So when I get up for work it'll be as good a time as any.

Sebs - you never know, Sod's law says that means that maybe you will get lucky this time without any signs... ;)

LadyH84 · 24/07/2014 22:25

Evening ladies! How is everyone?! Any good news from anyone this week!?

So I've a 'too much information' question! 10 days ago whilst mad crazy TTC I managed to get really bad cystitis...I don't normally get it! Anyway after many uncomfortable days the burn did stop! However.... For the last week I have had back ache, twinges in my abdomen some lasting quite a while ...more dull ache than sharp pains, and also leg pains! Like waking up in the night with really ache legs, almost like growing pains! Now part of me is (crazy 3 time MC lady) thinking these symptoms are possible early pregnancy symptoms ( googled the shit out of them all of course ;-) ) but am also starting to panic that maybe the cystitis spread or worse...there is something going on in my whomb which will stop me ever having my much wanted baby! Went to doctors they were VERY unhelpful, said wait for AF and see if the pains go. I've been keeping a diary and it's been 7 days almost every night I feel this!!!! So when they started It would have been far too early for menstural pains. What do you ladies think? Anyone had any of this? Anyone had cystitis with complications?!!!! I am 7 days away from AF due date xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Treaclepie19 · 24/07/2014 22:25

Good luck to those who will be POAS tomorrow :)

I an driving myself crazy! The thrush is back tonight. Problem is I really can't use the pessary so have to hope the cream is doing its job - it's the one you use once internally - because otherwise I'll have to go back to the doctor and wait til after af has arrived to get the tablet to take :/
Sorry, just needed a rant :/

hi. i need some advice for a friend please. she had a mc about 3 months ago i think and had retained product from mc then she concieved again but had a mc because there was still product left from mc1. she had bleeding for 14 days from 1st june to 14th june and has had nothing since. she went back to the hospital and was discharged from them as there is no product left and her hcg level had gone down enough. could she have concieved again now? af hasnt shown her ugly face and it had been quite a while but i think she is scared to poas incase its a bfn Sad thanks in advance for any advice

LadyH84 · 24/07/2014 22:33

Thanks Treacle found you all! The Pains I mentioned... Did you have these? It just seems like the cystitis and the other things might not be connected?! I no longer have pain when I pee, just perm lower back ache and twinges and an occasional feeling if needing a wee when I've been! I'm worried taking more antibiotics might nit be good if I am miraculously Pregnant this month! What do I do?

LadyH84 · 24/07/2014 22:41

Also treacle.....you have had a rough road! Thrush and cysistus you poor thing! Rant allowed!

LittleMissSnowShine · 24/07/2014 22:49

Hi ladyh - unrelated to ttc but a few years ago i had a really bad run of cystitis that kept turning into UTIs and i needed an antibiotic every time to get rid of it. Eventually referred to clinic and they gave me a 3 month dose of stuff and i have never had it again. Apparently more common in ladies with a tilted uterus, which i subsequently found out i also have, which some people seem to think can make ttc a little trickier, tho not everyone agrees on that. Cystitis which moves into a uti or a lidney infection can def cause back pain and a needing to wee feeling so im fx that u are pg but if not and u have recurring cystitis push for a referral and get it seen to. Hope u feel better xx

sebsmummy / ladyb - poas is so hard to resist! With my stupid irreg cycles i can never be exactly sure when AF is actually due so i could spend (and hav spent!Blush) on tests and still be none the wiser! I knew i was pg with ds2 when i found myself standing at the fridge eating slices of cooked ham straight out of the packet lol more effective sign than a faint line that time! Im sure i'll be out stock piling cheapo tests over the weekend anyway tho Blush good luck to u both (& everyone else!) if you do poas tomorrow!

LittleMissSnowShine · 24/07/2014 22:51

Also hi metalhead, hope you aren't here too long either xx

Ladyboluna · 24/07/2014 22:56

Hello to another lady!

Littlemiss - I have also spent way too much money on tests, I feel I should have shares in clearblue by now but I haven't had my letter yet! Also have to alternate where I get mine from as the pharmacist on my street says hello to me in a familiar way now...
