The Rules...

(1) A lady may only POAS on a Friday.
(2) Friday means the day that everyone calls Friday in the time zone where you spent the night.
(3) Rule (1) does not apply to POA-OPK-S, UNLESS they are being illegitimately used as surrogate HCG detectors, in which case Rule (1) most definitely does apply
(4) Rule (1) does not apply following a BFP because if you want to waste £25 a day POADigiS that's your prerogative
(5) Rule (1) does not apply if a lady is POAS in an attempt to get a BFN to prove she can start DTD with intent
(6) Rule (1) does not apply if a lady wants for unknown reason to pee on an actual stick, like a twig or some such, if that lady is unexpectedly caught short whilst tramping in the forest looking for bears.
(7) These rules (including Rule (1)) are subject to the change at any time if the ladies of the Posifrickentivity thread decide on a whim come up with empirical evidence to prove that it is luckier to POAS on any other day of the week
(8) Violators of Rule (1) shall be subject to fish throwing.

And as a grand finale, why not pledge to NEVER POAS before 14DPO?

The results are in... Levels are a whooping 33000, so still looks viable. Drs want me to have another load of bloods on Monday and if those are up I can see the mw and book a scan. Hilarious how they guard those mw appointments not just anyone can have one you know. I guess I'm not getting a reassurance scan and just getting the normal 12week or that seemed to be my impression from the conversation with the doctor, whose attitude was a bit well some people do bleed in the beginning but it's probably alright. Great at installing confidence!
Still thinking of you ladies that are still bleeding mine is now beige so that's close enough to normal for me. Blush

Oh my god Lauren that's fantastic!!! Well done little bean, hang on in there for your Mummy.

Great news, god knows we need some on this thread xx

marmalade just seen your post. That's crap, I'm sorry. Fingers crossed for you.

Hi Knitted welcome and so sorry you find yourself here - this thread is superb, and the ladies on here are incredibly supportive. Feel free to rant away, be sad, be happy. We are all here xx

sarahlou20 · 28/08/2014 17:26

So sad to read that there are some who are having repeat MCs. It's heartbreaking and I hope you're all getting the love and support you need.

lola60 - I fully understand the jealousy thing. Someone I work with's wife is having a baby at about the same time that mine would have been due in Jan 2015 and I feel so bitter and jealous. I just quietly leave the room when he talks about their MW appointments and scans, etc. It's such a mixed bag of emotions isn't it.

SunbathingCat - Thanks so much for the tips. You never know, you might be pregnant on this cycle!! I'm still waiting for my second AF after the MC. My first one started on 30/07/14 so it's been just over 4 weeks but that's not unusual for me. Doesn't stop me hoping and praying that I may be pg this time. I'm symptom checking all the time. Is it normal to be so obsessive? Desperately want to be pg again.

Marmaladecat1 · 28/08/2014 17:27

If say I was about 2/3 weeks 'actually' pregnant that wouldn't show up on a internal scan would it? I would need to be a couple more weeks along wouldn't I?
I'm really clucking at straws here!

Marmaladecat1 · 28/08/2014 17:29

And I just found out my level is 335...does this mean anything to anyone?

knittedmittens · 28/08/2014 17:33

Marmalade This may not help at all, but the consultant I saw on Tues (my levels were 350) said she wouldn't be able to decide anything based on one HCG. It's how it increases/decreases that counts.

Hugs all round it seems (both good news and bad). I had a lovely afternoon with my friend and her little baby and we had a big heart to heart about everything. She's talked me into using opks - she did. So off I toddled to boots. Time to woman up over the whole peeing on a stick thing! I'm away with DH for a 10 mile cross country race this weekend then we have a couple of days which coincide with the start of my fertile period so theoretically we should be in for a chance as work wont be getting in the way for another couple of weeks. Now if only I could convince DH to take a zinc supplement!

Marmaladecat1 · 28/08/2014 18:08

Thanks both, yes I think I need wait until Saturday when I have another blood test.
Hope isn't always a good thing in my book!

DoctorDonnaNoble · 28/08/2014 18:10

I'll be thinking of you Saturday.

sarahlou20 · 28/08/2014 18:43

SunbathingCat - Yes, I think it's keeping me sane too. I've got a couple of apps on my phone which I use to track my cycles (all two of them so far, the WTF cycle and the one I'm on now!) and it definitely helps. We women have such a small window of opportunity each month don't we.

My mum is convinced that the pill I was on had something to do with my MC. I was on Cerazette for three years and got pregnant as soon as I stopped taking it before having an AF. She thinks not having periods for so long is unnatural and might have messed around with my hormones. I do wonder that myself sometimes and I have to say it does feel good to be letting my body get back to some sort of normality, however long that takes. Perhaps it does take a few cycles for things to settle down for some of us, particularly after a MC, but I know I'll be terribly disappointed if/when my next AF arrives.

I'm 35 too and have exactly the same concerns as you I have so many friends in their mid-late 30s who are pregnant or have little babies so I'm sure that age is still on our side :-)

Another 35 year old here! 36 in November. My friend (who brought her 3 month old with her) reminded me today that I've got 3 years before I'll be as old as she was! There's more than enough life in us still! Wink

Boozle80 · 28/08/2014 19:12

Can I ask a stupid question when the cramping kicks in properly how long does a miscarriage take to happen. I'm not sure I'm going to make the d and c but nor do I want to deal with this at home on my own - last time I ended up haemorrhaging at home and passed out. Fuck.

DoctorDonnaNoble · 28/08/2014 19:15

Sorry Bozzle, I went for the op. Should be some here soon who's more helpful. Take care.

boozle mine happened very quickly - well, the passing of the baby did (I actually bled for 12 weeks all in all because a teeny weeny bit of him/her was clinging on). I started a little bleeding around 3pm, got heavier around 10pm, then at 230am, I cramped badly and passed baby. Clots followed the whole next day (my 12 week scan day) but baby was defo gone quickly.

Think we need a new thread ladies - I can't do it as I'm on my phone. Anyone out there who's on a PC and can link?

Metalhead · 28/08/2014 19:23

Oh boozle you poor thing! Have you got anyone there with you?

For me, I think cramps started to get worse Sunday evening around 7pm and then some time during the night I had really bad ones for about an hour when I passed the sac and most of the placenta. The bleeding calmed down petty soon after that, but I was still glad that DH was there. (And they still did an erpc the next day as there was somehow still some tissue left in my womb.)

DoctorDonnaNoble · 28/08/2014 19:24

I was about to say the same thing - shall I do it? I've never started a big thread before...

DoctorDonnaNoble · 28/08/2014 19:26

Here it is:
