The Rules...

(1) A lady may only POAS on a Friday.
(2) Friday means the day that everyone calls Friday in the time zone where you spent the night.
(3) Rule (1) does not apply to POA-OPK-S, UNLESS they are being illegitimately used as surrogate HCG detectors, in which case Rule (1) most definitely does apply
(4) Rule (1) does not apply following a BFP because if you want to waste £25 a day POADigiS that's your prerogative
(5) Rule (1) does not apply if a lady is POAS in an attempt to get a BFN to prove she can start DTD with intent
(6) Rule (1) does not apply if a lady wants for unknown reason to pee on an actual stick, like a twig or some such, if that lady is unexpectedly caught short whilst tramping in the forest looking for bears.
(7) These rules (including Rule (1)) are subject to the change at any time if the ladies of the Posifrickentivity thread decide on a whim come up with empirical evidence to prove that it is luckier to POAS on any other day of the week
(8) Violators of Rule (1) shall be subject to fish throwing.

And as a grand finale, why not pledge to NEVER POAS before 14DPO?

Oops months not maths!!

greysar · 27/08/2014 15:26

Welcome B4rley and MrsC. Sorry to have you join us Sad

Greysar, 28, TTC #1 for 11 months (with 4 month break from Feb due to MMC) but only about 6 cycles.

Fergie11 · 27/08/2014 15:29

Hey Brummie I tested yesterday and I'm still showing pregnant. I remember in April being told to test in two weeks so going to test again on Tuesday. My AF came just over 4 weeks after medical management so hoping it will be the same this time!

Brummiegirl15 · 27/08/2014 15:38

When I had my last mc which was natural back in May - I tested negative exactly after 1 week, but this one was erpc and I was 9 weeks. I also had AF exactly 4 weeks after mc so hoping for same this time, although 28 days is actually late for me as I'm normally 23/24 days in cycle

I tested positive two days before AF which came. 28 days after MC. There's no rhyme or reason to it!

MrsBeeBeeBee · 27/08/2014 18:24

It was about 3.5weeks until I got a negative, and AF arrived exactly 4 weeks after mc.

MrsBeeBeeBee, ttc#2, 5 months, mc at 9 weeks at start of July.

Allthefours · 27/08/2014 19:15

Hi ladies. Had my appointment at EPU this morning. It was inconclusive and now having the HCG blood testing to check my levels. However things took a turn for the worse this afternoon when I began bleeding heavily and therefore miscarrying for the second time in 3 months. I still have to go back for more bloods on Friday, to confirm the miscarriage.

So today has been a really shitty day. I'm not sure if trying again is on the agenda, I hurt too much right now. I'm too old and past it and possibly kidding myself that I could be a mum again.

Lauren, I hope your bean continues to stick and you have a happy ending.

dulcet - congrats on your BFP, fingers crossed it's a sticky.

Stats for the thread:
Allthefours, 40. TTC since Oct 12.
MMC 12 weeks - June 2014
MC 5+5weeks - Aug 2014

DulcetMoans · 27/08/2014 19:20

Sorry to say, pretty sure I'm with allthefours now. Bleeding has got heavier and now includes clots and cramps. Fairly sure this is it for this one too. Same stats as you - MC June 2014, MC Aug 2014. Hope we are both wrong but seems unlikely.

EnglishGirlsReturned · 27/08/2014 19:25

Right here are the stats so far. Think updated stats should try to be posted at the beginning of new thread so any newbies can get an idea of us all.

Brummiegirl15: 37 (38 in Oct!), TTC#1 for 5 months, 2 mc's May 2014 (5 weeks) and August 2014 (9 weeks)

Dulcetmoans: 29, TTC#1 for 21months, MC June 2014 (7weeks). BFP this week but uncertain.
ToriB34: TTC #1 for 4 months, mmc in July 2014 (10 weeks).
Metalhead: 35, TTC#2 for 13 months (though "only" 10 cycles as they are quite long), mmc in Feb '14 followed by erpc. Have DD aged 4, conceived on cycle #2
fergie11: 41, TTC #1 for 8 months, 1 mmc in April 14 at 8 weeks ( medically managed), 2 mmc in August 14 at 10 weeks (erpc).
MrsBeeBeeBee: ttc#2 for 5 months, mc July 2014 (9weeks)
Greysar: 28, TTC #1 for 11 months (with 4 month break from Feb due to MMC) but only about 6 cycles.

Brummie it took 2 weeks for me to get a negative hpt and then AF came 3 weeks later. As you can see... none of us have had the same experience. I'd keep poas every 3/4 days. Hope it doesn't take too long hun

allthefours & Dulcet I am so very sorry for you both! Totally understand how devastating it is a 2nd time. Sending you both bigs hugs.

allthefours I understand at the moment you'll feel that you can't try again. Take time to heal and push for tests which can then help you decide xx

EnglishGirlsReturned · 27/08/2014 19:38

Oh shit, crossed posts.
Ladies Allthefours Dulcet, I'm so sorry this seems to be happening to you again. Its so unfair. Have a cuddle with your DH's, take some time to look after yourselves. I really hope that all turns out to be ok. Will be thinking of you both. Big hugs Sad
I won't add you to the list of doom yet, don't want to jinx things.

So sorry All the fours and dulcet!

Can I be added next time too please
DoctorDonnaNoble TTC#1, 12 months, MMC Dec2013 (8 weeks), 'think' I've had a couple of chemical pregnancies since including this month :(

Foxtrot7459 · 27/08/2014 19:58

I'm here too....

Stats are:

Foxtrot7459 age 32
TTC#1 since dec 13
MC in June at 10 weeks (blighted ovum) - natural

I didn't try in the wtf cycle and I'm glad I didn't and it truly was WTF, longer than normal and emotionally I don't think I could have handled the waiting for AF and wondering/testing prior to it arriving. Had a really strange 2nd cycle with lots of spotting and now on CD13 of third. Giving it a good go this month so fingers crossed!

So sorry for dulcet and allthefours news x

Treaclepie19 · 27/08/2014 20:11

Allthefours and Dulcet I am so sorry. Big hugs to you both.

Thank you English for the stats :)

Dulcet and Allthefours I'm so, so sorry that you are going through this again. I know there are no words that can make you feel any better, but we're all here for you and we understand. Don't think about decisions now, it's too raw, take some time.

DoctorDonnaNoble it's very confusing. I'm trying to log my 'symptoms' on my app but they're changing all the damn time. I've gone from absolutely nothing, to painful boobs, to absolutely nothing again. Except now I have AF cramps, they are different to the cramps I've been having since ov and different to the cramps I get when I'm actually pregnant. I'm starting to get confused about what AF symptoms I actually get usually!

Brummiegirl15 · 27/08/2014 20:35

dulcet and allthefours that is shitty, I'm so so sorry.

Huge hugs to you both xxx

lola60 · 27/08/2014 20:35

Im here too
stats Lola60 age 42 TTCno2 mmc june2014 8weeks
Af arrived yest after a very long cycle!!!
Sorry for your news Dulcet and Allthefours, big hugs x

sarahlou20 · 27/08/2014 20:40

Hello all, I popped by to join a couple of weeks ago but have been away so apologies for being quiet. Here are my stats....

SarahLou20, 35, TTC#1 for 5 months, MMC on 19th June at 9 weeks followed by ERPC. First AF started on 30th July and am now on another long WTF cycle.

I have tried doing the OPK strips each day but find it difficult to test at the same time, if at all, so I'm thinking of ditching them to just see what happens. I've always had quite irregular periods and had none at all while I was on the pill for three years so I'm so unsure of what's normal for me cycle-wise. Is anyone else in that situation?

Hi all, i don't pop in too often these days. Still a bit too hard sometimes. I'm calling on you for some serious hand holding.
Had miscarriage in June and I'm not convinced it's not happening again.
Got bfp today but have been spotting- bright red but no cramps. Not soaking pads but still. This has been going on since I finished a chemically induced bleed (I checked I wasn't pregnant before I took them) then bleeding came back sat. No idea what's going on.
Having scan on fri and had bloods taken today.
Positive test was really strong today.
I'm a threatened miscarriage apparently. I think it's bad news because of the bleeding.
Two in a row, I cannot deal with that right now.
