The Rules...

(1) A lady may only POAS on a Friday.
(2) Friday means the day that everyone calls Friday in the time zone where you spent the night.
(3) Rule (1) does not apply to POA-OPK-S, UNLESS they are being illegitimately used as surrogate HCG detectors, in which case Rule (1) most definitely does apply
(4) Rule (1) does not apply following a BFP because if you want to waste £25 a day POADigiS that's your prerogative
(5) Rule (1) does not apply if a lady is POAS in an attempt to get a BFN to prove she can start DTD with intent
(6) Rule (1) does not apply if a lady wants for unknown reason to pee on an actual stick, like a twig or some such, if that lady is unexpectedly caught short whilst tramping in the forest looking for bears.
(7) These rules (including Rule (1)) are subject to the change at any time if the ladies of the Posifrickentivity thread decide on a whim come up with empirical evidence to prove that it is luckier to POAS on any other day of the week
(8) Violators of Rule (1) shall be subject to fish throwing.

And as a grand finale, why not pledge to NEVER POAS before 14DPO?

boozle hooray for a darker line and no more scary stuff, that's great news. Really pleased for you. Everything's looking good so far so try not to worry.

hope when they found my mmc I had an internal as the bean was much smaller than the 10 weeks we thought we were. They place a condom over a probe and it's inserted a couple of inches. Not uncomfortbale at all. A smear test is much worse! Lots and lots of luck to you, I hope you see a lovely little bean.

english we are ERPC twins. It's strange how advice differs as I was told to expect a period 2-4 weeks following the surgery whereas you were told 4-6.

fox I'm glad your WTF cycle is over. What a relief and closure for you. Like you say you can now move on and get bonking (sorry to steal your word boozle but it made me chuckle)

Congrats florence!!

My AF was due yesterday but no sign of it today either. No cramps, tummy ache, nothing. Most definitely in the WTF cycle - yay me!

Foxtrot7459 · 21/07/2014 11:04

Thanks oneday the WTF definetly lives up to its name! I had cramps for a week before AF appeared (didn't before) I always used to get sore boobs and spent plenty of time prodding hoping to feel something but nothing even now that I am on day 3 of AF - truly WTF.

Thanks also for suggestion of cb ov sticks but not going to go there just yet. DH already thinks I am obsessed enough with spending a lot of time on this thread! I have got preseed though so will give that ago first. I'm going to dtd eod from fertility window on pre mc cycle to end of fertility window on post mc cycle - hopefully that will do the trick!!

hope - hope the scan goes well x

DontBeBlueBeARainbow · 21/07/2014 11:10

Lola Oneday I'm in the same boat as you, it's about 4 weeks since my post-MMC bleeding stopped so I'm waiting on AF so I can calculate dates and get back to normal.

I know everyone is different, but I don't know when might be an appropriate time for POAS, as some people have to wait up to a couple of months for AF, is that right?

We haven't actually planned to TTC this month, we were going to wait a few months as least, but we're had so much unprotected DTD that I'm very cautiously optimistic. However, I also watched that Great Sperm Race programme which made me think it'll never happen by accident. Any one else seen that? What they didn't mention was the billions that fall out?!? Or is that just me? Oh, I just noticed what Boozle said upthread about sticking your legs in the air - is that a real thing?

Good luck hope

EnglishGirlsReturned · 21/07/2014 11:44

Congrats Florence! I'd second all the good advice you've had already this morning. Try to relax and stay positive Smile

Good luck hope. The dildo cam is fine. Bit odd but not at all painful.
What dates should you be at at. I was told 7 weeks is the best time as at that point they'd def expect to see a baby and a heartbeat.

Oneday - I think 4-6 would be more accurate as your body has to rid itself of hcg and then go through the usual hormone cycle before AF can come. I suppose it depends on how quicky hcg comes down.

FF says I've timed DTD perfectly and have a high chance of pregnancy. Everytime I've had a high chance based of timing I've fallen pg, so fx!!

OneDayLikeThis2013 · 21/07/2014 12:25

Thinking of you hope Hope you're there getting some reassurance/good news as I type.

Hi dontbeblue welcome to the WTF club! I haven't seen the great sperm race but from what I know and have read, the legs up in the air is a bit of an old wives tale but who knows? Personally didn't do it when ttc last time and fell pregnant relatively quickly but it would make sense to try to give the little guys as much of a chance as possible.

English if you're still waiting for first AF, do you mind me asking how you're charting your cycle with FF and how you know you've ovulated? Are you temping/opk? I've started to use FF but it's telling me from my opk tests (haven't done any in a while) and bbt that I haven't ovulated yet.

Monten · 21/07/2014 12:28

What is FF - she sounds very encouraging! I want some to tell me I have a high chance of conceiving I am not needy

OneDayLikeThis2013 · 21/07/2014 12:48

Monten it's fertility friend (the app) - well atleast I think that's what english is referring to!!

Hope26 · 21/07/2014 13:10

Hi ladies

Thank you for all your best wishes. Well the internal scan itself wasn't painful and straightforward. I actually started crying while she was going to insert it. All those memories and scans came rushing back. I hate the hospital so much. Everyone was very supportive and a lady held my hand.

Thank God the bean is in the womb, I was worried about an ectopic pregnancy. It's not even a bean yet it's a blob. Apparently I'm 5 weeks so she said she can't tell me much if its a viable pregnancy. She has given me another scan date on the 5th in two weeks time. I hope she isn't saying that because she thinks something is wrong! My report said both my ovaries are normal.

Back to the 2ww! I'm hoping its going to be a viable pregnancy so just going to take it easy now. That room, the scan, that equipment gives me chills down my spine. It's an awful feeling but hopefully this time around it will be good news.

Monten please use ov sticks and use preseed too if its worked for some people. Really hope you get bfp soon.

The wtf cycle sucks - my first AF came back cd35 so it can take a while.. Patience is a virtue !!
Ill keep you all updated x

greysar · 21/07/2014 13:18

Oh Hope I'm so glad to hear that all sounds positive! Congrats, and here's to a very uneventful 35 weeks xxx

Monten · 21/07/2014 13:29

hope - that's wonderful news. I know exactly what you mean about scans and the hospital. I have such a fear of those places now. It’s the waiting. And the silence (Just wrote a great blog on that). Take it easy x

Thanks oneday - I will download that. Love the idea of a bossy, jolly hockey sticks type giving me the thumbs up on my chances of conceiving. Might bring out my competitive streak.

OneDayLikeThis2013 · 21/07/2014 13:36

hope that's great news, so pleased for you! All sounding very positive so take comfort in that.

monten I can recommend FF. I previously used the ovia app but this one is miles better and has the fun stuff like reviewing how well you timed dtd and chances of conceiving this cycle etc. You can also compare your fertility charts/bbt with other peoples etc. And it's free!

Oooooh I've just had a phonecall from a lady from the clearblue research trial thing. I couldn't answer as at work but I will give her a call back. Has anyone else done it/know what it involves??

EnglishGirlsReturned · 21/07/2014 13:45

One day - I started using daily OPKs as soon as I had a negative hpt. No temping this cycle. I've entered the results and cm and DTD into Fertility Friend and then because I've paid for the VIP version it tells you your chances based on ov date. Obviously having not temped I can't guarantee I've ov'd but after the first mc I didn't even get a positive OPK, just AF 23 days later.

Hope I'm so glad that it went well. At 5 weeks a blob is all they're likely to see. Another two weeks or so should show a nicely growing bean! Fx!

Metalhead · 21/07/2014 13:46

Hi all. Sorry I've been quiet for a while, trying to lie low during my 2ww (currently about 5/6dpo).

Glad your scan went well Hope, that's a good start and fx for more good news in 2 weeks!

Also congrats to all the other recent BFPs, I hope you all have better luck this time.

Welcome newbies and sorry for your losses, hopefully you'll find some comfort here among these lovely ladies.

broodylicious · 21/07/2014 14:20

hope really really pleased all was well this morning Smile

Welcome to the newbies. I'm so sorry for your losses. Hope your stay here is short and sweet Thanks

AF has just arrived, naturally while wearing white knickers Blush This will be my second AF since mc and has arrived cd 30, so not far off my pre mc 28d cycles.

I've just seen a friend - we met at NCT classes last time around - and she's since had an early mc and an ectopic. She freely admitted she's an absolute wreck these days and was getting teary eyed a few times as she asked me about my mc. The first baby she mc would have been due in May just gone so she's devastated that she's had a second mc in the time she should've had her bubba Sad

FlorenceandZebedee · 21/07/2014 14:39

Good news hope really glad all OK, hope you can relax a little over the next fortnight x

broodylicious · 21/07/2014 14:45

Oooh, I forgot to say yay for the bfps that have appeared too!!! So fab to see good news, gives us all hope Smile Here's to an uneventful and boring eight months for you ladies xxxx

sebsmummy1 · 21/07/2014 14:49

Congratulations on your BFP Florence Grin

I know I'm not pregnant this cycle as my cm has now totally dried up. However, does anyone get small traces of EWCM at times over their 2ww? I'm trying to work out if this is indicative of an anovulatory cycle or it's something lots of people experience. I seem to have a dry day after OV, the get creamy CM, then a little EWCM on 3dpo, then it kind of mixed in with the creamy until 7dpo. Then I dry up until AF.

Monten · 21/07/2014 14:50

broody that's me. My first baby was due this Friday. I was so hoping I would be up duffed before EDD came round - didn't cross my mind I would be succesful then miscarry again. I feel right back to square one. This week is going to suck. I hate the week post AF. You know you're def not pregnant and there's not even any ov-ing to get excited about. Sorry AF came but glad your cycles are getting back to normal x

Justonemoretime · 21/07/2014 16:03

hope, so glad it went well. Hope the next 2 weeks fly by uneventfully. X

Metalhead · 21/07/2014 16:15

english I just signed up for FF and also got a 'high' score! Grin Though I'm sure it would have been the same last month as we timed TITH exactly the same, so not getting my hopes up...

sebs I sometimes get watery or ewcm a few days before AF. For me that's a sign I'm not pregnant. I've read somewhere it is the beginning of the uterine lining breaking down (though I've also read plenty of stories of women reporting his and then getting a BFP, so who knows!).

Treaclepie19 · 21/07/2014 16:35

Glad your scan went well hope :)

I am one that got pregnant using preseed. Hoping it will do the same this month. Didn't work last month though!

I feel very sick. Ugh :( can't be related to bfp as I am only just about to ovulate.

EnglishGirlsReturned · 21/07/2014 16:51

Yay for the high scores Metal! Smile Fx for us both!

Sebs, ewcm is indicative of an oestrogen surge when it happens post ov. Don't know if that I itself them indicates a BFP?!

I'm in the same boat too broody, never imagined that I'd have another mc in the time before my original due date. I'd have been due first in September and second in January. Hmm

broodylicious · 21/07/2014 16:56

Many hugs monten This week will be tough but we are here for you. That's what my friend said too about not thinking she'd get upduffed and mc twice Hmm It just totally sucks this mc shizzle!!!

Thank goodness for mumsnet, that's what I think! It's the only place I feel that people totally understand and where I can be totally self indulgent I did tell the hospital to tell ladies who've mc they should check out mumsnet for support. Hoping for more good news from more ladies this week to spur us all on Smile

broodylicious · 21/07/2014 16:58

Hugs for you too english xx

sebsmummy1 · 21/07/2014 17:08

Funnily enough that month where I had my period then testing positive afterwards, I had bloody EWCM on 10dpo that I now know was implantation (unsuccessful obviously). I had never had that before but had read about it online. It was a whole load though, the stuff I'm talking about that I seen to get pretty regularly is small amounts when I wipe it mixed in with creamy cm.

Well I guess it's not totally abnormal. Will be interesting to see this cycle whether my LP is 12 days or 14.
