The Rules...

(1) A lady may only POAS on a Friday.
(2) Friday means the day that everyone calls Friday in the time zone where you spent the night.
(3) Rule (1) does not apply to POA-OPK-S, UNLESS they are being illegitimately used as surrogate HCG detectors, in which case Rule (1) most definitely does apply
(4) Rule (1) does not apply following a BFP because if you want to waste £25 a day POADigiS that's your prerogative
(5) Rule (1) does not apply if a lady is POAS in an attempt to get a BFN to prove she can start DTD with intent
(6) Rule (1) does not apply if a lady wants for unknown reason to pee on an actual stick, like a twig or some such, if that lady is unexpectedly caught short whilst tramping in the forest looking for bears.
(7) These rules (including Rule (1)) are subject to the change at any time if the ladies of the Posifrickentivity thread decide on a whim come up with empirical evidence to prove that it is luckier to POAS on any other day of the week
(8) Violators of Rule (1) shall be subject to fish throwing.

And as a grand finale, why not pledge to NEVER POAS before 14DPO?

Hi Lola, welcome! Sorry for your loss. I'm also in what is commonly known as the wtf cycle after 2nd mc and erpc 23rd June also. Just expect the unexpected- that's about all I can advise. Your hormones will wreck havoc with your body and emotions. Expected bad days and good. But it does get easier

Justonemoretime · 20/07/2014 23:39

Hi ladies, on my phone so I can't reply to all, but I read this today. Its about someone who's son died at age 2, but her expressions of grief really resonated with me. It may help some? www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/0956559948?cache=cc9ae001efcc7b85fa53d7a8e91016a7&pi=SY200_QL40&qid=1405895751&sr=8-1#ref=mp_s_a_1_1
Take care. X

lola60 · 21/07/2014 00:17

The wtf cycle, i love it lol well dont really love it iykwim!! Thanks girls for all the lovely kind words fingers crossed for us all x

SaltySeaBird · 21/07/2014 00:57

I had an ERPC 4th July. Just came on to ask how long this cycle might be. My last miscarriage was medical management and my cycles returned to normal quickly, do cycles after an ERPC normally take longer?

EnglishGirlsReturned · 21/07/2014 06:46

Hi salty, I was told to expect AF 4-6 weeks from my erpc. Everyone is different though. I'll be 4 weeks post erpc on Wednesday, but think I only ovulated yesterday so mine should be closer to 6weeks if anything.

Treaclepie19 · 21/07/2014 06:55

OMG! I knew I needed to dtd last night. Solid smiley today. No temp rise though so looks like we still have time.
I second what English has said salty.
Sorry for your loss.

Foxtrot7459 · 21/07/2014 07:39

Welcome Lola

I think my WTF cycle is over!! After spotting for 3 days it has become heavier although not as heavy as pre mc. I mc naturally on 16th June so had a 34 day cycle when pre mc it was 26-28.

Now time to get back to dtd but have no idea when I will/if ov as don't poas or temp so will just dtd as much as possible!

Monten · 21/07/2014 07:51

Hi tori lola and salty - sorry you are here and hope your stay is short Smile.

I am also in wtf cycle, in middle of first af post erpc on 9 June.

Ladies - after tfmr in Jan my first af was very heavy. This one is SO light and has, I think, already stopped. After all that cramping I was expecting it to be really heavy. Anyone else had this?

boozle that all sounds really positive. Fx for an uneventful next few months.

hope hope (!) your scan goes well.

just thanks for that link, feeling a bit fragile this morning so not sure if I'm strong enough but will read later.

Boozle80 · 21/07/2014 08:06

Whoop whoop Treacle that's super exciting. Get bonking and subtlety sticking your legs in the air afterwards! Whoop whoop!
Monten I had my first cycle which was exactly like that. Maybe the first AF and m/c cleared you out so much there isn't much left to come out? I also had really bad cramps with it. The next AF wasn't much longer either.
No more bleeding this end and got another, slightly darker, test this morning. Still doing lost of praying and hoping though, going to go down to the docs tomorrow if all is still ok and ask them to test EVERYTHING!
Hope everyone has a happy Monday

smilingthroughgrittedteeth · 21/07/2014 08:28

*boozle thats great news, keeping everything crossed for you.

monten my first af after erpc was really light, I bled for 3 days but there wasnt much blood at all although I had terrible cramps. The second one was longer, 5 days but not heavy or painful which is really unusual for me as af before pregnancy used to leave me anemic and doubled up in pain for 4 days.

hi salty and lola

Monten · 21/07/2014 08:31

Thank you boozle - that's a very good point. I had very very heavy bleeding 4 days after erpc so there probably wasn't much lining there. I love you ladies - such good advice. Amazing news about your test Thanks

treacle - get to it! Grin

Monten · 21/07/2014 08:34

Thanks smiling. Sorry your periods are normally so bad - ouch. Hope you're feeling well!

FlorenceandZebedee · 21/07/2014 09:16

Hi ladies, I've been off the scene for a bit as I think I reached a real breaking point where my whole life was revolving around memories of my mmc, DTD and all that goes awith it, anyway I decided to step away from the internet to try and find some peace- I did. So forgive me for not knowing all that has happened with everyone. I did spot some BFPs amongst you which is fantastic.
Sorry to talk about me now but I need advice. I too got a BFP ( AF was due Thurs but I chickened out of poas Fri and only summoned up the courage last night because I'm off on hols this week and wanted to know if I could drink!) Anyway I only used an internet cheapy- do you think they're reliable? Also, how soon should I go to docs? I have no faith at all that this will work out but I do want it on record so that any future investigations are easier to come by. Hope I'm not coming across as too me, me, me. Much love to everyone out there and hello to newbies, sorry you're here but it' s the best place for comfort and support x

Hope26 · 21/07/2014 09:21

Tori Lola and salty sorry about your loss. This is an amazing thread and full of lovely ladies who will help you get through this. I hope you're all well.

Boozle I hope everything goes well for you. I am praying for you.

Foxtrot of you have a busy lifestyle and want to catch when you ovulate you should try the clearblue ovulation sticks with dual hormone indicator. Tells you exactly when you ovulate and your most fertile window. All the best and I hope you get bfp soon

Oneday I'm waiting for a call from the hospital to let me know when I can have a scan.. I'm hoping today! If they don't ring by 11 i will call myself

Boozle80 · 21/07/2014 09:22

Hey Florence. Congratulations! I'd imagine a BFP is a BFP! I'd go to the doctor ASAP - it certainly can't do any harm and means you're on the radar. Awesome, awesome news! Much love xx

Hope26 · 21/07/2014 09:24

Florence congratulations!! I know it's tough and you are really cared and you don't want to get emotionally attached just yet, take it easy. If I was you I would run to the shops and buy a First response test just for your own sanity.

Once you know you are pregnancy go to the doctors as soon as you can so they are aware and they can contact the hospital.

Relax and enjoy your summer!!

FlorenceandZebedee · 21/07/2014 09:34

Thank you ladies, I will take both your pieces of advice.

Also, thanks hope for suggesting cb dual hormone ovulation sticks. I used them for 2 months and discovered I didn't ovulate until day 17/18. And can't remember who suggested preseed lube but I used that this month- who knows if it helped, maybe. Finally, a bit random but I ate a grapefruit most days as I read somewhere that they can help increase ewcm- told you iI had to step away from the internet! Smile

Boozle80 · 21/07/2014 09:35

I also second Hope's far more sensible response!

Hope26 · 21/07/2014 09:55

Haha grapefruit sounds great! Enjoy your summer but please go get a first response for your own sanity! I would've gone by now haha

Hospital called. 1145am internal scan.. What the hell is an internal scan! Will it hurt? Does it have risk of mc!? I'm so scared. My biggest fear is having no baby in sac... Omg.

greysar · 21/07/2014 10:03

Hope, internal scans are fine- no pain, and gets them a clearer pic; exactly what you want! My only issue when I had one before was that I hadn't been informed in advance so went in with a full bladder, which then had to be emptied- so my only advice would be to wear a skirt/dress if you prefer, and don't bother making sure you have a full bladder! Good luck x

Hope26 · 21/07/2014 10:14

Thank you grey that really helps. My MIL saying drink lots of water so now I won't. Pray for me ladies !! Xxx

FlorenceandZebedee · 21/07/2014 10:29

lots and lots of luck and best wishes hope will be thinking of you x x

Justonemoretime · 21/07/2014 10:32

Good luck, hope, glad you got a scan appointment. Internal scans (aka dildo cam) is safe, accurate and not painful. Hopefully you'll leave reassured. Empty bladder is the order of the day, so no need to drink pints of water.

greysar · 21/07/2014 10:44

just dildo cam. Love it Grin

Monten · 21/07/2014 10:45

Yes, dildo cam is fine, if a little odd! LOTS of lube. Good luck hope will be thinking of you x

Hi Zebedee massive congrats on your bfp. A line is a line! Digi conception indicators are good - I love seeing it in writing and its comforting when the weeks since conception increases.

I think you’re the second person on here who has got their BFP on preseed – hmmm, might have to get me some of that! I have the CB ov sticks, never used them before but will be doing so this month.
