The smallprint –
Berries have a strict entrance criteria (TTC #1, over 30, TTC for 12+ months, NO instadiffers, must have a special pot and definitely no mention of baby dust or baby dancing).
Those not abiding by the rules may be escorted from the premises.

I've been catching up on the thread, so much interesting stuff going on for everyone.
rain this week is going to be a better one for you, for sure. I can't believe what happened with your director and the maternity policy convo. Massive well done for not crying, you are made of very stern stuff.

Ah bushy glad you and DH are getting a bit better. It sounds like you had a nice break and I am now imagining the pair of you on the seafront somewhere holding hands and getting splashed with sea spray in the wind while wearing matching beige car coats. So sweet. Please don't torture yourself by thinking there is something you should have done differently. I'm sure that what happened was not in anyway down to what you did or didn't do. I think I very hard thing about this difficult fertility journey is just not being in control of what happens. Maybe just keep your head down at work and avoid baby people as much as possible. Hugs to you.

happy I for one am very excited about your wedding. Bring it on.

HB I'm sorry to hear your work has been so horrible. Screw them and concentrate on you. Not sleeping is awful - could exercise of some sort help. I hope you are ok. Chin up and tits out. (Love this phrase and it is my new mantra).

smidge really sorry to hear your news. Hope you and your OH can cling in to each other.

kitten wow! Wow! What happened there then!? When will you be able to tell DH?

tiger hot yoga sounds...er, scary frankly. Will stick to my room temperature yoga DVD thank you very much.

With regards to fridge charts and twice a day DTD; we have a built in fridge so a brand new stand alone one with a metal door we can use magnets on is the next priority TTC expenditure. DH said twice a day during fertile times was a must, then said he'd be knackered. Then he brightened up when he remembered that I get a period each month and he would be off duty fir that. He is so flipping funny.

lumen · 11/08/2014 19:53

wild I have the upmost respect for both you and your dh if you manage at least once every day, let alone twice. After 16 years together and the last 3 years ttc we struggle with 3 times a week during shag week Hmm IVF has taken the pressure off though.

tiger hope you enjoyed the hot yoga, I get hot doing yoga at the best of times but that is probably due to my lack of fitness Wink

WildflowerMarmalade · 11/08/2014 20:05

lumen believe you me, twice a day will not be happening! At our appointment the FC said that even every day was unnecessary as sperm can survive around 72 hours + the sperm need to go through some sort of change process inside the cervix which takes time in itself. Having the consultant tell it how it is to DH was worth the money alone. Otherwise lord knows what would have happened! Three times a week in shag week is good enough in my book.

WildflowerMarmalade · 11/08/2014 20:08

kitten 12 minutes to go until your DH gets out if work. Eek!

HampshireBlues · 11/08/2014 20:18

Kitten that is amazing news! not long til Your DH gets off work!

Smidge I'm really sorry to hear your news. We are all here if you need us.

KittenOfWoe · 11/08/2014 21:22

He's home and we've had a bloody good cry and I've shown him the gallery of Stuff What I Have Gone Done Peed On. He's compiling an online shop as I type "you're going to want something for acid reflux, some more of your supplements... ooh I'll get you these, they have omega stuf.... ooh cocoa butter is on offer, I'll get you some of that.." Seriously, he's gone mad! Apparently he's been reading on the sly! Blessim.
Oh my life I'm so tired, think it's the bloody relief that something inside me might still work after all. Was a big worry to hear I might have been hard-boiled at 32.
lumen if it helps, me and he only had three sessions during the peak time this time round. Done a lot more before and no go, so who the frig knows what's going on inside us?!

Bloody love you berries Thanks

ladybunnikins · 11/08/2014 22:02

That's lovely, Kitten! When I showed DH the test he said, "Don't get excited, you know what happened last time."
A clusterdiff needs at least 3 people I reckon, who's next? Gill?

Gillster · 11/08/2014 22:10

So sorry to hear your news smidge. Hope you are looking after yourselves and hat your time will come very soon. X

Oooo exciting news Kitten. Bet the wait to tell your DH was unbearable!

Hope things are still progressing with you Lady. Is this the furthest you've come?

Let the cluster diff commence!

Loving the name Kuma!

Still down regging. Haven't had any side effects so far. Have a check up this Friday to see if my bits have switched off.

beakybeak · 11/08/2014 22:48

Jellie how did your scan go?

Gill fx you're next in the cluster diff!

Smidge001 · 12/08/2014 06:18

Hello berries

pixie how did the colleagues dd visit go? I'm usually ok with other people's babies, just get insanely jealous. But doesn't upset me as such. In fact I'm probably a bit grumpy and Pah why are you bringing a child into work anyway, kind of attitude (despite the fact I suspect I'd end up doing exactly the same thing - especially after so long trying!

It's chucking it down here and bloody freezing coz in Sydney they don't seem to want to acknowledge winter so don't go in for central heating/double glazing/insulation of any kind. Kind of suits my morose state for the past couple of days though! Ha ha. I might have to head out and find a warm shopping mall and buy some completely non ttc items for my husband's 40th.

Jellie I hope the scan went well and you can get things moving again.

lady and kitten that is so exciting. I read it at the time but can you remind me if you were both on non-assisted cycles? So glad to hear good news, let's hope it spreads Smile

Good luck Chloe on the wedding. Just how bad is the dress?! Sounds hilarious. I didn't end up having any official BMs at my wedding, just asked my best friend to do a reading but was quite happy to let her wear her own outfit! Saved heaps of stressing out too.

Kuma so funny, made me laugh out loud! (Sorry, showing my age - probably should have said 'LOL')

Wild loving your reasoning for new white goods! Your husband sounds great fun. At least this journey isn't bringing his sense of humour down! Looks as if OH and I will be back to the dreaded OPK (pee sticks as we call them, having not had to use the other kind til now!). Hubby loves the idea of shag week but gets sick of it/the pressure after day 1!! Oh dear, back to trying to seduce my husband again... That really is an underrated upside to IVF I think.

Good luck Gill. Glad to hear no side effects. I think (so my nurses told me) the key to avoiding side effects is drinking heaps of water. Not quite sure how that works but to be fair it seemed to do the job for me.

Hope the idiots at work haven't reared up again lately rain/ HB.

First time I've gone back and made notes so I hope I haven't missed anyone. Taking of which though, what happened to seren? I'm sure I remember reading about her but perhaps that was a long time ago now. Hope all's ok anyway if you are still reading this.

I've just worked out how to get latest messages at the start of the list which is a big bonus. Still can't seem to get email notifications of messages unless I re-press 'watch' every day though.

happylass · 12/08/2014 07:43

Fantastic news Kitten. Congrats!
How's that line looking Lady. Still got everything crossed for you.
Smidge how you doing? Hope you're taking it easy. If it's any consolation it's bucketing it down here too. The UK just doesn't do summer!
Wildflower I'm a little bit excited about the wedding too Grin
Well Berries I think it may just be time for a new list in preparation for the next thread. I'll start, shall I? Don't worry about the bold, just add yourselves and I'll sort it once everyone's done. Here goes:

Happylass, 36, TTC 2 years, getting hitched and honeymooning mid August, then starting short protocol ICSI at the end of the month.

happylass · 12/08/2014 07:46

Ugh just realised it was this week exactly 2 years ago that we started TTC. I remember cos we were on hols when I took my last pill. Who'd have thought this is where we'd be today Sad

beakybeak · 12/08/2014 08:46

Happy this month is our 2 year anniversary too, it's awful hey. Still not long til icsi now! And of course your wedding Grin

Beaky, 34, ttc 2 years, unexplained, due to start iui next cycle if the cysts have gone.

I feel really sad today, still bleeding 7 days on Sad

nolly3 · 12/08/2014 09:05

Happy and beaky - we're 2 years this month also. sorry you're feeling down beaky - you're normally so bubbly. I always find you a huge support, don't know if that makes you feel better but I'm thinking of you, anyway.

smidge welcome and sorry about your disappointment.

bushy just a massive hug for you. full of admiration for your strength.

lumen was it you asking about laps? I've got to decide if I want one to possibly, hopefully, rule out endo. The consultant said if they cauterised all the endo off then fertility increases by around 20%. amazing.

gill any update on trasfer day?

kitten congrats, amazing!

wild been enjoying your dh's antics over the last few days!

thanks for posting your good news lady. hope you get to feel excited soon.

sorry been a busy week berries. my psycho boss is back at work saying things like "we need to increase our bandwidth' and 'woah, time out guys'. douchebag. Not nearly as bad as yours thouse hb or rain. man alive.

nolly, 32, TTC 2 years, just finished with the dreaded clomid, 1 year to go before IVF.

happylass · 12/08/2014 09:19

KittenOfWoe · 12/08/2014 10:35

Thanks berries! Awful night's sleep, lord only knows why...
smidge I actually can't believe this, but it's natural. I'm new round here so I'm worried you all may see me as an insta in your eyes. But weirdly enough I was told only in June that I might be going through an early menopause as my hormones were totally jacked. I had my dildocam induction, lots of bloods, etc and it turned out I do have follicles but that my hormones were severely advancing my fertility age. We'd put our infertility referral through, and DH had finally got around to doing his SA last week after a very big row... so yeah, it CAN happen. I'm astounded.

I genuinely feel guilty though ladies, you're the only ones I can talk to about this (apart from the big old beardy one) and I feel like I've got so damned flukey lucky, especially with all the long-term anniversaries. It's very very early days for me and I pray to God we do okay, and that this really is the start of a big f-off clusterdiff.

Also a lottery win would be nice, as I've still not found a job yet and I reckon soon enough I'll find it impossible! Eep.

lumen · 12/08/2014 11:23

Thx for sorting new list happy, we also started ttc in August, 3 yrs for us too, anyone start in a different month?

Lumen, soon to be 35, ttc for 3 yrs, unexplained, IVF on nhs summer 2014, no implantation, starting private funded IVF at end of sept on long protocol again

beakybeak · 12/08/2014 12:27

Aw Nolly so sorry about the stupid work preggo announcement.

IamKuma · 12/08/2014 13:39

I was a January starter, new year etc etc....

Kuma - 39 TTC since Jan 13 (23 of my short cycles). Failed short protocol IVF June 2014, now waiting for a hysteroscopy before NHS natural cycle if they can fit me in before my next big bday.

nolly3 · 12/08/2014 13:50

beaky i know, mental isn't it. 20%! quite tempted. although probabyl pointless. I have diagnosed myself with endo, but then I've also diagnosed myself over the last week with MS and DMD, so... I'm probably just mental.
