The smallprint –
Berries have a strict entrance criteria (TTC #1, over 30, TTC for 12+ months, NO instadiffers, must have a special pot and definitely no mention of baby dust or baby dancing).
Those not abiding by the rules may be escorted from the premises.

Congrats funky. I totally get not getting excited. I hope this is your sticky one tho. Did you have any investigations after your 2 mc's? Will they put you on anything this time? I'm already thinking about what to do if my scan on Tuesday doesn't go well. I'm hoping I can get them to do some kind of investigations as it'll be my second mc.

Feather, glad you don't have to wait till Thursday, hope the time goes quickly.

Barking, sorry the pain is such a horrible reminder. I hope it's over quickly.

WildflowerMarmalade · 22/06/2014 16:05

Ooh, that is exciting news funkymonk. I can understand that you want to keep your excitement under control, but don't feel bad about sharing good news. Every little bit of good news helps us all I reckon. Also, I'm with barking; whisper your news and DH's granny will know.

barking so sorry you're suffering pain. You've been so incredibly brave these last few days. I don't know what to say that might help but I'm thinking of you and sending good wishes.

Love the new thread, thank you.

feather good that you are getting a scan sorted and hope you are bearing up ok under trying circumstances.

lumen and kumar very interesting to hear your IVF tales, it looks like that will be the next step for us and I feel woefully ignorant of what it involves. You are my guides now.

Hope any sick Berries are feeling better.

Not much to report here, except that DH will be away for fertile week this cycle. I'm really not happy about it as I've unwisely been pinning my hopes on a post-hycosy BFP. It would be possible for me to go with him but he is not keen as it is going to a stressful trip for him. I haven't explained to him that it is a crucial shag week - that's a conversation I'm not really looking forward to. When you've been TTC so long everything is so flipping complicated. sigh

WildflowerMarmalade · 22/06/2014 16:08

barking -could you try clary sage oil in a warm bath to speed things up?

beakybeak · 22/06/2014 16:46

Funky! Congratulations! The first diff of the new thread Smile I do understand why you wouldn't be excited though, am crossing everything for you and hope this works out. Did you mention you will need to take medication throughout? I am so sorry to hear about your dh's gran, what a difficult time. Maybe tell her anyway, you never know what they are still able to process. Hugs. Please also don't feel guilty we all need the good news to keep us going! The clinic are not worried about spotting, I think I'm going to get a rainbows plan though.

Lumen the emotions are perfectly understandable. I am crossing everything for you too, for a nice haul and that fertilise well.

Nolly a book shop/tea room would be an amazing job! It's called barter books in Alnwick and it is amazing, it's the biggest book shop in England I think! Feather correct! Also hope you are ok - you are not hogging the thread, it's what we are all here for isn't it! Fx for you.

Kuma good luck for Wednesday, and boo to spending the morning with preggers ones during a awkward time too.

Tiger I'll join you in the hammock of hope if you don't mind, I've a pitchfork to see off instadiffers Grin your upcycling sounds brilliant! I do old jewellery sometimes. Glad you're feeling better.

Barking sorry you're having to listen to all that while going through such an awful time.

Win fx for you for Tuesday.

Wildflower I agree, it seems as though everything takes on that extra aspect that wasn't a concern before. Could you go for a couple of days maybe? Sometimes I feel like I'm asking so much from dh with all of this.

TheRainDrops · 22/06/2014 16:47

Ahh, funky that is great news, although obviously I know you're going to have very mixed emotions about it. Really really wishing this is the one for you tho. I hope you manage to get to tell OH's granny, really sweet idea.

kuma positive thoughts for you too, and well done getting through the bump coffee morning, that must have been hard.

lumen hope you're feeling a bit better - as someone (sorry, previous page so can't go back!) said, quality over quantity.

barking god, there's literally no respite is there? I hope you've found a bit of sanctuary somewhere this afternoon. Thanks for lovely new thread and loving the title!

feather weekend scan access is exactly one of the care points of the MN better MC care campaign (not that you're having a MC, I am convinced of this). Sucks that you have to wait but at least it's not til Thursday. Will DH be able to go with you?

wildflower oh gosh, we've undoubtedly all had cycles where things don't go to plan. I've found things much better for both of us now that I just tell him when the important weeks are, up front, so he can do his best to be available! How far is DP going? Could you nip over for a saucy one-nighter?

Made it out of the house today for a sweaty stroll around local gardens. Back home now and sprawled out on the floor in the shade with one of the cats. We don't cope well with humidity!

greatbigbushybeard · 22/06/2014 17:33

Yay! Well done funky, we're all v pleased for you and beaky's right, we all need the good news to perk us up, it shows us it can happen! Sorry about dh's granny, think you should whisper it too.

lumen good luck for next week! it'll all be fine and leave google alone, our bodies can have infinite results so google is just going to scare you with all the possible outcomes.

The coffee morning sounds grim! Totally agree with long term ttc increasing jealousy in non jealous types. Near the start I always said I would be pleased for others good news but the longer it went on the harder I found it. Even tho I am, whispers it, pg, I still felt a wave of jealousy when I realised the cards in next door's window must be for her maternity leave. One said 'you're going to be a mummy soon' on the front. Is it wrong that that kind of thing makes me want to puke?? Am I truly a miserable old f*er? Then I spotted a baby bjorn carrier on their washing line... It would be killing me if I wasn't pg and I still feel jealous now-wtf!!

Glad you're feeling better feather and yes! seems a big secret with everyone but bleeding in pg seems fairly common.

My cousin text me her 3D scan.. Looks freaky!! The second pic looks like the baby is giving the sonographer the finger!! Not sure if I like the 3D ones, what's your opinions on them?

Sat in the garden, in the shade, as sun very hot and making me itchy. There are reports to do. But this seems far nicer!! Know what you mean barking about everyone else being in gardens or with windows open, a baby was wailing earlier and father and son are having a kick about. Hope you feel better soon.

barkingtreefrog · 22/06/2014 18:31

wildflower and tiger thanks for the recommendations. More cramps and bleeding this afternoon so I'm hoping if I continue to move around tomorrow it will keep happening. Really hoping all the bleeding is done by Friday and I can see at the scan that it's all gone. Not had the really heavy bleed yet, it's been more like AF or spotting. I know they are all different, but this seems to be starting exactly the same as last time.

bushy the 'copter thread is probably a better place to ask about scans, they'll all have had to think about it and decide whether to go 3D or not.

Had a really productive day in non mc terms. Cramps prevented a bike ride again, but got loads of jobs done in the house and both front and back gardens including a trip to the skip. All looking a lot better. DH has also agreed that I can take on total redecoration of the lounge as a project. I pointed out that last mc I had a wedding to plan, I needed something on a similar scale to get stuck into. I think chiselling plaster off walls down to brick and laying a new floor might do that! Grin

RevoltingPeasant · 22/06/2014 18:37

Funky big, big congrats. Just hang on in there and we'll see.

Barking excellent on your productive day and new project! DIY is really satisfying. Also you want something you can complete before Sept, when it will be your time.

Win is that a 9w scan on Tues? Fx!

lumen · 22/06/2014 19:17

Just popping in quickly to say congrats funky and I am excited for you. Whisper the news to your oh's gran, she will then know somehow I think.

Thanks for all your lovely comments berries, I will let you know how we get on.

Gillster · 22/06/2014 21:19

Congratulations Funky. I can understand that you're not getting too excited about things. However you have more knowledge than last time so hoping you'll be able to manage things even if it will mean a lot of injections. I think this is your time.

Thanks for the thread Barking. Sorry your weekend has been so shitty. Hoping that things move along quickly for you and glad you have a new project to focus on.

Good luck for EC tomorrow Lumen. Go follies go! We also only had one NHS shot too so know a lot is riding on this.

Good luck for your scan on Tues Wino.

Keeping everything crossed for you Kuma. I have my op on you official test date.

Hello everyone else I haven't named!

IamKuma · 22/06/2014 22:00

Hi Gill good luck with your op on Wednesday!

I had a nice afternoon in the end after this morning; got some time in the garden in the sunshine and planted some plants I got in the market yesterday. I also bought a couple of digi-tests. Might test early, but not feeling very confident. Have had quite a lot of spotting since Friday and as a result have spent too much time consulting Dr Google, even though in reality I know it could still go either way.... a bit apprehensive about testing though because once its done, its all over, IYKWIM....

Ugh, must it be Monday tomorrow? I'm really not ready to go to work.

Gillster · 22/06/2014 22:04

Just realised that I've missed Feathers off my previous post. Fingers crossed for tomorrow, hoping this is just a mini blip and like lots of the berries have already said, bleeding is quite common in the early weeks. Hope you can get some rest before the scan.

RosieintheAlps · 22/06/2014 22:05

Good luck for EC tomorrow, lumen.

Same to you for your scans, feather and win.

Fingers crossed for you, Kuma. Well done on getting through the morning.

We've been enjoying the good weather with bike ride and swim in the sea for me and jamming session of DP. Hope this will be a good week in Berrieland and all around.

Gillster · 22/06/2014 22:08

Know what you mean about work tomorrow Kuma. I also spent a big chunk of the day in the garden and filled 2 green bins with garden waste. Pretty exhausted now and unfortunately the household chores have taken a hit as a result. Feel guilty as we popped across the road to our neighbours briefly this afternoon and their house is immaculate. To be fair though they're both retired.

HampshireBlues · 22/06/2014 22:33

Thanks for the new home Barking am liking the thread title as we'll.

Congrats Funky and good luck with the EC tomorrow Lumen make the most of a lazy day.

Not much happening here, I took and annual leave week last week in order to try and get my head together and didn't get very far. Am also now a year older, but did get spoiled by DH so that can't be too bad.

Hope that everyone is ok, am keeping everything crossed for those berries with bps and thinking about those with uncertainty or bad news. I will catch up properly tomorrow night as DH is away all week so sorry if I've missed anyone out.

greatbigbushybeard · 22/06/2014 23:49

Seems like lots of us were gardening! Actually got the plants I bought yesterday planted, I'm a terror for buying but then not getting round to planting!

Know exactly what you mean re household chores gilster. I got fed up that every w/e had become so domesticated- do shopping list, plan meals, food shop, clean house that I decided to do some things for me, like go swimming. End result is today I cleaned off 2weeks of dirt!! I admire immaculate homes, mine is not one of them!

Hope all is well tomorrow feather , lumen and good luck later in week for kuma- know exactly what you mean re not testing early as once it's done it's done.

nolly3 · 23/06/2014 07:05

be thinking of you today feather and lumen.

impressed with your positive day yesterday barking. good idea re project

barkingtreefrog · 23/06/2014 07:16

Good luck today feather and lumen.

I think I just passed the sac Sad .

Going to work anyway. I'll dose up with painkillers, take plenty of sanitary towels and babywipes and see if someone will do my break duties for me.

OP posts:
greatbigbushybeard · 23/06/2014 07:26

Oh barking you're being so brave, so so sorry this is happening to you. Hope work is a good distraction and break cover sounds v sensible.

happylass · 23/06/2014 07:41

Wanders in ridiculously fashionably late. Lovely new thread thanks Barking. Sorry have been AWOL. Left my phone in work on Friday and been out and about most of the weekend so been incommunicado.

Tentative congrats Funky. Sorry to hear about your OHs grandma Thanks

Thinking of you Feather and Lumen

Lovely weekend on the one hand; country walk, tapas in the garden, strawberry picking, beach, nephew's 3rd birthday but as someone else said there are babies everywhere in this weather! Had a little cry (behind the sunglasses) on the beach yesterday. With SIL due to give birth in a few weeks it ain't gonna get any easier. Roll on September!

Have a good start to the week all x

nolly3 · 23/06/2014 07:42

oh barking Sad so sorry

FeatherFeather11 · 23/06/2014 07:53

Really sorry barking. As others have said, you are being incredibly and admirably brave.

lumen sending you Berrie power. Hope today goes well.

Thanks for the well wishes for today everyone. Appointment is at 3pm and will check in as soon as I can. Bleeding hasn't stopped but has turned very dark brown. Have prepped myself for the worst.

tigerdog · 23/06/2014 08:53

Morning everyone.

feather good luck for your scan. Really hoping that everything is ok.

lumen good luck with egg collection.Hoping for a good clutch of eggs for you!

beaky have you got that pitchfork handy?! Just looked at Facebook and an old flatmate's baby shower was on there. I have pretty much lost touch with her but it still surprised and upset me to see it. The number of people I know without children is ever dwindling, even the unexpected ones are pg...

rp after renovating a whole house I would happily never do diy again! barking it will absorb all your time though so probably a good thing to do to keep you busy and your mind off things. Hope work goes ok today, this is such a tough time but you're doing really well.

Hi hb hope you managed to have a good week off and a lovely birthday. There was a good post on the catching rainbows blog recently about progressing through emotions. Worth a read.

happy it's hard isn't it. I gave our local carnival a wide berth yesterday as I couldn't face being around lots of children and families.

Sounds like a lovely day rosie! I need to get active as I've done nothing for 2 weeks since my lap.

Waves to everyone else!

HowsTheSerenity · 23/06/2014 11:09

Hi all
How is everyone today?

Barking - ooh renos! You can come do mine.
Bushy - I think 3d scans can be a bit freaky looking.
Feather - I hope you get your scan soon. Peace of mind and all.
Lumen - ginormous overies? I keep imagining a special support cushion for them.
Funky - hooray! Fab news.
Nolly - i always manage to find a 2nd book shop in every town. My best find has been an English one in a small Moroccan town. Can't go past a bookshop.
Beaky - I feel your pain. It seems like 2014 is the year for (other peoples) babies. I know 13 pregnant people.

I'm sure I've missed people butnimhopr you are all well.

Not much to report here. Skanky sister is having a termination. Much better in the long run. For a moment though I bought we might get her child. Better to terminate though then end up possibly disabled through fetal alcohol syndrome etc

Start the first round of everything in three weeks. Bit nervous I will admit.

sparechange · 23/06/2014 13:43

Hello everyone. New thread, new commitment from me Blush
(sparechange, 32 3/4, TTC since Dec 12, DH has low morphology, starting IVF mid-aug on short protocol)

Barking still sending hugs your way. Hope today has been easier than the weekend
funky Congrats!
lumen How did it go today?
everyone else Hello!

I'm leaving work early today to collect my best mate from her 3rd transfer because her husband had rearranged his diary on Friday, expecting the transfer to be then, only for them to move it to day. Think this is going to be an emotional afternoon...
