Wishing Ginger a very happy birthday! Cake Hope you enjoy your surprise and get spoiled rotten. Holiday coming up too - nice timing!

KEgirl your cakes look soo delicious! I love a good cupcake.

Mampam your friend's situation is something I think we all dread. It's going to be very difficult for her but even if she has to distance herself from you for a while, my guess is that you will understand and there will be no hard feelings in the long run. I know what it's like to cut off friends who are pregnant/have small babies....I'm now looking forward to being able to resume those friendships as my pregnancy hopefully continues. Your comment about your MIL's baking made me lol! I can imagine you having to pretend it's lovely but really not enjoying it Grin

I'm going for an early scan tomorrow evening. I should be 6+6. I reckon I'm going to be needing one every week for the next 5 weeks!

Fx Fankle, Fankle fx xx

This whole TTC business is seriously distracting me from the child I actually have.....I have just spent half an hour hissing at DS to go away while I worked out how to do my chart online at TCOYF. OK, it has discarded half my insomniac temps as "disturbs", and now it looks like I may just have ovulated.....possibly.

OK, it's either murder DS or turn the computer off and make chocolate cake now...

Ooooh Ginger very posh Champers on your birthday (I'm lucky if I get cava!!). Can't wait to hear about your mysterious evening.

Fankle Good luck with your scan.....exciting but nerve wracking too I guess. It will be lovely to hear about.
My friend has been messaging me on and off today and seems fine with my pg. I only talked about it if she asked me a direct question which she did and was lovely given her situation.

Stubborn I know how you feel and as tempting as it may be to murder DS I think making chocolate cake is a much easier option Grin and just be thankful that you feel like making your own and don't have to eat one made by my MIL........yuk!!

patch it's over and done with now, well done for being brave Smile let us know when you get results.

Hope everyone has a good evening xx

Hello ladies! (waves to everyone!) :) I'm still alive Ginger! :) Happy belated birthday wishes!!

I've been busy job hunting/finding a job yay!! Well, kind of boo really, after 4 months off work thanks to being made redundant, I now have a new job, yay and boo! :) :( Looking forward to having an income again but dreading returning to the daily grind. I've loved loved loved not working! I also gave myself a little break from obsessing over ttc as it was really getting me down.

Going to grab a cup of tea and catch up on the news on here :)

Hope everyone is well
Work has been ok everyone knew and have been so kind (which made me want to cry Hmm) but it's amazing how many people have gone through the same and have gone on to have healthy pregnancies Smile
Mampam your friend will appreciate anything you do for her, just knowing people are thinking of you makes you feel better. Tell her to come on here it gives you loads of support from people who have been through it

Ginger, sorry the spotting has started hun, but YAY for a fab birthday! Grin - Lucky girl!!

Inshock, congratulations on the new job Grin. Boo that it means you have to start working though Sad!!

Tilly, glad that work are looking after you hun. It is amazing that once you open up about your problems, the floodgates open all around you. There are soooo many people who have struggled.

Tranquility, hi hun how are you? Looking forward to your break I'm sure!!

Well CD13 and only managed to DTD once so far, just couldn't be arsed last night. I am really losing the motivation at the moment. But we will DTD tonight and tomorrow and then that'll be it. I want to enjoy our holiday in Jersey without all that hanging over me. Smile

A friend has organized an Ann Summers party for next week but that is the last thing I feel like going to having been TTC for the last 2 years, so I'll be giving it a miss. I'd rather go to a 'how to avoid having sex for a whole year' party!! LOL x

Grin kegirl

Wow, lots of us of on hol at same time. inshock, how you getting on? Gonna poas?

I've had a little spotting since yesterday but much less than usual (when on clomid) so perhaps the b6 & progesterone cream I've been taking this month are helping with lp which is a step in right direction. Got letter from acu yesterday (happy birthday), ill get another letter 6 weeks before first appointment then ill be put on waiting list Sad thought I would be starting treatment then.

annie I may be joining you after all for ivf if we're told it'll be much longer. How you getting on?

Hi Ginger
I'm sorry to hear AF arrived. Gutted. Bummer about the letter too - would be worth ringing the acu to find out how long the waiting list is just so you can get an idea and plan ahead. I haven't reached the start of the NHS waiting list for IVF yet, waiting for appointment on 19th June to find out. But I know it's 6-9 months and I don't want to risk waiting that long at my age.

I wish I was younger! The success rates are SO much better at 35 than at 40. I left it as a last resort and WISH I'd not wasted so much time trying and just gone straight for IVF.

I've been to GP's today and got a printout of all the blood tests I've had in the last 6 months as I need that for the private IVF clinic appointment which is now at beginning of July.

I also did a cheeky CB Digital Advanced POAS this week and got my solid smiley yesterday so we went for it! DH was delighted - it's been a while...Blush There's no clinical reason for us not to i think it's just that they like you to wait a cycle for their dating purposes. Stuff that! Wink

Nearly holiday time!! When are you off?

Report
Gingerbreadlady1 · 22/05/2014 20:55

Oh god!! Can you imagine if you got your bfp this month! With no medical intervention, would be amazing. Ill be away when you get your genetic test results back so fx for that hon.

AF not properly here yet, some v v light spotting yesterday but only 11 dpo so still in with a (incredibly) slim chance. Seems the b6 & prog cream is helping. Gonna poas tomorrow so I know if I need to pack all my ttc crap (will need an extra suitcase Confused. Been packing tonight, can't wait!

Having a s#+t day. The sonographer thought it looked like pics, but that I shouldn't use that as a diagnosis as they don't diagnose (why tell me then). Do I wait for gp to call me or do I ring them. Feeling crap.

Report
AnnieHoo · 22/05/2014 21:26

Fx your AF stays away ginger. If it's brown it could be old blood from implantation bleeding. Whatever happens have a brilliant holiday with Mr Ginger. As they say, "Don't get a tan"! Wink

Sorry you're having a shit day. You should definitely make an appt with gp to discuss your scan and not wait for them to get back to you.

Hey, it's Pirates on the Prom on Bank Holiday Monday in Penzance Tranquility! If you feel like dressing up as a pirate and being counted as part of the Guinness most-pirates-in-one-place World Record attempt! I can't decide if I'm going to go yet, but I have bought a pirate hat....

Erm, Mackerel Sky Cafe in Penzance, plus shedloads of good pubs- my faves are the Dock Inn and the Crown. And the Navy Inn for posh pub food. I love Penzance. I prefer it to St. Ives about 1000x (but that is just me).

Cape Cornwall and the Kenidjack Valley nr St. Just is a lovely walk (the Star Inn in St. Just is also a good pub). Another good walk is up to Men an Tol & Ding Dong Mine.

Porthcurno is a beautiful beach-right below the Minack Theatre-, but more beautiful still is the one next to it, Pedn Vounder, which you can get to from Porthcurno at extreme low tide. All other times you have to climb down the cliff to get there, but it's worth braving the climb- and the nudists!

St Michael's Mount-also worth it.

I'd better stop now....

(although I'm finding this far far more entertaining than obsessing about my cycle, and the fact that it feels like AF is on its way, even though it's only CD22, and I think I ovulated on CD16. Arse Sad)
